In this adventure we explore and document the forgotten ancient history of Ballumbie Castle hidden and abandoned in a wild forest near Dundee Scotland.
just stumbled on your great historic adventures. really enjoy the old castles and buildings. you have to understand, here in America , "ancient" is two hundred years old.
Hey thanks 👍 I like to explore and document abandoned forgotten places as much as I can. It's amazing to find and uncover the different layers of history in a place like this 🏞️🌄🏴
The bit you thought could have possibly been the kitchen. May also have been a stable block. Yellow bricks been the walk way n the small squares are the flooring of the stalls ❤
Yes I think you could be right, a kitchen wouldn't have a floor like that 🏰🏞️ The wee defensive tower room on the corner was my favourite part of of the castle 😊
When they moved from living in castles or tower to a Mansion , in safer times , they often build large ornate gardens , which is probally what some them ruins were
Correct me if I'm wrong but this would date back originally to the clans. This would have been the lairds property as it would have been used not only as a home but as a gathering place for the clansmen and their families on special occasions ❤️🏴
Lol "there's a hole here we can get through to view the history " casually committing crimes and giving away the value for free. Your Robin of Locksley ♡
Great video BKR! Have you ever considered contacting the archeology department in you local University? You are doing important field work and it needs to be seen.

The wierd plant at 5:00 is known as 'Lords-and-Ladies'. These are the poisonous seeds that fruit after a nice lily type flower. Great adventure BTW
Interesting name. Thanks
