Great reviews, always very thorough! I bought the GT5 earlier this year based on a past review of yours Kenneth. I was not dissapointed and your review was very accurate. Thanks and keep up the great work!
I just found your channel and it is probably my favorite review channel now. High quality, good editing, concise but detailed, clear and to the point. Keep up the good work!
I own the gt1xr and the gt5. Both are excellent and function without fault, this is the most important for me. The gt1xr has better battery life but the gt5 has all the features you would want in a budget tws. They are easy to connect, never have a connection issue. Even the wear detection on the gt5 works excellent. For 20 bucks a real steal. Now if they made them in some different colours I would like that. They look a bit dull in black.
Kenn! Just wanna say I really appreciate your videos. The amount of work you put in them are simply astonishing. If I may give a suggestion, you can make a review of the newly released Fiil T1 Lite. It's slightly more expensive than your 20$ budget earbuds at 35$ but it calls for interesting comparisons (for example, if it is really worth paying the extra premium). That is all, thank you and God Bless!
I'm buying Haylou Gt5 as a gift ❤, using the link of course ❤ and for myself Tronsmart spunky beat a years ago. Both Thanks to you and your superb reviews. Thanks again Kenneth.Hi from Malaysia 😁
Another excellent video, thanks Kenneth! Was choosing between the Redmi Airdots S and the Haylou GT5 for gaming on Android. Just bought the Haylou GT5 for 829 pesos ($17) after watching this video. :D
Dude I've always wanted to buy haylou but I can't get over their controls. I usually like sleek design but for tws I just knew they'd be trouble (especially with my lifestyle). I was close to buy that XR one on new year but luckily found your channel and settled for soundpeats instead 🤣. The amount of choice for budget tws now is so overwhelming. Few years ago all I need to do was just avoid airpod knock offs but this segment has matured really well and there are a lot more choices so I appreciate your channel for narrowing it down by a lot.

Just before starting the comparison I got the GT5 and so far, Its amazing in every aspect, except the mic, which I was aware off before buying :) thanks for the Video Kenneth, now to the video :D
Thanks so much for the review, bro! Keep up the good work! I have an idea for future videos, maybe you could test the regular Bluetooth, the AptX and the AptX HD Bluetooth CABLES for KZ IEMs? They're not TWS, but it'll be good information on how they sound, battery life, and their latency, since the IEMs themselves like the ZST X, ZSN Pro X, etc. are supposed to have the best sound quality at $20 with their dual or more drivers configs.
I was planning to buy haylou moripods but I need to see a review before buying it. I found your channel then cancelled that idea. I subscribed to your channel. Saw the gt1 pro/xr review, then decided to get the xr. Saw the t15 review, decided not to buy the xr. Saw this vid, and finally decided to get the alien secret. Lastly,I will close youtube for obvious reason. Thanks btw!
Went for Aliens myself, switched from Tronsmart Spunky Beats. Worth every penny. I do not miss the wireless charging, those buds last me over two weeks of listening with no worying for charging them ;) Not playing on the phone much so gaming mode is also not an argument for me. Good sound, however I feel like it is compressed in the middle a bit too much. Highly recommend those if you are looking for a good bang for the buck.
In the description there is also the qcc010 max. Is this better than the qcc010? So the gt5, qcc010 and qcc010 max, which is Ur pick for sound quality? I'm buying the one that you recommend. Thanks for your review. Liked!
Kenneth do you know where i can buy silicone case for qcc010? Or any similar form factor tws that can be used for qcc010? My friend recommend me to try silicone case from jabra elite 75t but i doubt it... Helppp.
i just bought the xr for a month by your recommendations... hahahaha. the sound is better than the airdots that my sister take from me.. i dont need the wireless charging right now as i dont have any device that use wireless charging. so the xr is best for me. thanks by the way for testing the xr.
Hey Ken, I'm back again lol. I don't know why my QCC010 earbuds won't charge after few months of usage 😞 And I consider getting a new one, might go with GT5 😂 Thanks again for your recommendation 😸
Really loved that comparison.. this is the best from you.. and again I'm a half in ear lover so waiting for a good one.. I've already buy two half in ear airbuds but not satisfied with calling quality so I'm waiting for your next half in ear comparison... ❤️❤️
Glad you liked it! As for half in-ear don't wait, just get the TrueAir2, my experience with it has ben very positive, also there's not much else that I want to compare it with anyway
Thanks Ken! I agree the touch control on the Haylou are way too sensitive and annoying. The Alien sound good, but uncomfortable at first and take time to get used to (and mine did not come with any foam tips). To me, the Haylou sound a bit better, but I use the Aliens because they sound 95% as good and don't have the annoying touch control issue.
Bear in mind that there will be some delay (~200ms) in even the best of gaming mode earbuds, you can get the Haylou GT5 here or the good ol' QCY T5 will serve you well too
Which is better buy? Gt5 for 21 usd or aliensecret for 18 usd? I want a tws that is good for listening in voice quality rather than so much bass. Vocal clarity with a little bit of a bass is what i want. What do you recommend?
Just bought the Haylou GT1 XR and I must say I love the sound signature! Never been a basshead, I like me some clean and balanced sound. So the only downside there is the Micro USB, but I can live with it. In 2-3 years I will most likely replace these anyway with something newer (Soundpeats? Or a newer version of the GTx line?).
Subscribed! I have the original Haylou GT1 but I've been looking at getting the August EP800 for a pair to use at work - have you seen those before? Would be very interested in your opinion compared to the GT1. For the record I actually find the GT1 somewhat bass-heavy, at least compared to my over-the-ear Audio-Technica ATH-M50. Thanks.
I used to use GT1 normal and I am very happy with it: small case, quick connect, comfortable to wear and fit. Then I switch to GT1 XR because I think the Qualcomm chip in GT1 XR is better. But the GT1 XR come with larger case, not comfortable and fit for me. So the GT1 normal is better for me.
Hi Kenn, your vids are insanely good and really explained what the buyer need to know, thanks. I want to ask about Haylou gt5, how sensitive is it? You said in your vid that the sensor is too sensitive. I want to buy it but afraid that gt5 will give me a crap experience of accidental touching. Thank you
Between the Haylou GT5 for $21 and the QCY T5 for $17 which is the better pick for someone that wants low latency and prefers neutral sound or focus in the vocals and listens at low volume? What are the pros and cons between these two, and there are any other options I should consider?
They are awesome. Very comfortable (so light!) and have all the features you need. Sound quality is not the most immersive but they are very easy to listen to (no sharp sounds).
Hello. This video is from two years ago, can you still recommend these or there are better tws at the same price range? Been using Haylou GT1 Pro for like 2 years and it's starting to fail me now... I would appreciate the help!
I wished I saw this before I bought the GT1 XR one week ago. I only saw your review on GT1 XR sadly. Very surprised to hear how soft the GT1 XR is compared to my Ugreen on the same volume level
Good review man, I'm immense at your detailed review on these budget TWS Just a question though which would you recommend on listening podcasts? Keep it up!
Hey, the Poco X3 NFC supports AptX TWS, right? I have the X3 Pro, better chipset, but it just connects AptX, and not TWS mode. I am using Haylou GT1 XR. Kinda feeling sad.
So for phone call, I saw others said that GT5 mic for call is a failure. But from your video GT5 is still okay right? eventhough GT1 XR is better. Thanks for the review anyway👍
But I just ordered GT1 XR... It should arrive today. Crossing my fingers that I wouldn't regret it. I don't care for wireless charging and still have a spare micro USB cable that I use to charge my game controllers, so no problem on that department.
@@namedkenn So I tried the GT1 XR. It does get a bit muddy for songs with lots of noises and instruments. The bass is a bit weak indeed. But like you said, for songs like slow ballads and acoustics where there's only 1 or 2 musical instruments and the vocal, whoa everything comes out really, really clear. Pretty amazing. Overall I'm satisfied. Thanks for the amazing reviews man!
16:28 I love your reaction here. Hahahahahahaha! Thanks for this video! You're someone that the Filipinos will support and love for your honesty and effort. More videos to come! ✊🏻
If you're still here looking to buy an earbuds, I assure you that GT5 is the best bet. Why?, because I'm still using it from 4 years to now (longest earbuds I've ever sticked with). For portable use, I use haylou gt5 and at home, I use an over ear type headphone. The reason why I'm here is to buy a better haylou version cuz after 4 years of heavy use, it's causing problems like decrease in sound on one of the ear bud. But that's happening recently, Do note I'm still using this shit cuz it's decent in sound quality, music and responsiveness (even the built quality is very good). It's also simple to use making it one of my fav. But don't buy it if there's a definite prove that the latest versions are better. Normally I don't write reviews but since I'm using it for 4 years, I felt like speaking up for people who are having a difficult time to decide. Personally I don't think I'll buy haylou gt5 again cuz I want to try something different but should be competent with haylou gt5 or better. I mean it's 4 years and yet I still use it. Thus I'm looking for better version or maybe I'll switch brands.
Hi Kenneth. I need a TWS for my dad (only for taking calls). Which one would be the best? 1) Edifier x3 2) Edifier x5 3) Edifier tws200 4) Qcy t9s 5) Qcy t7 6) Haylou gt1 plus 7) Haylou gt1 XR 8) tronsmart onyx ace 9) Soundpeats true air 2 10) Soundpeats true shift 2 11) Soundpeats true engine 3se 12) Any other TWS you know Please do reply
Kenneth, is there any tws that can allow you to mute/unmute from its button? I think we all agree that sometimes when we work from home, we’re walking around the house while listening to a meeting from google meet/zoom/etc with microphone muted, and if we need to jump quickly into the meeting we will need to RUN back to the computer to unmute lol Would love to watch a review of some tws that has this kind of feature 😁
Haha true that, but unfortunately I don’t think there’s any that can, since headphone controls has only been play/pause, skip songs, voice assistant and volume, no matter what type it is (wired/wireless) Maybe a remapping software will help (i.e. when you press voice assistant it registers as a mute button instead) but it’ll be cool to see earbuds specifically made for online meetings

The Alien sound good, but uncomfortable at first and take time to get used to (and mine did not come with any foam tips). To me, the Haylou sound a bit better, but I use the Aliens because they sound 95% as good and don't have the annoying touch control issue.
Haha cool! If it’s the other way around then Alien is the way to go then 🤣
Nice review Kenneth. Although already bought GT5 but still love to watch your review. 🙏♥️
Thank you so much! 👍 really appreciate the support
buy one of these or the SoundPEATS TrueShift 2?
hi bro im using poco x3 pro i play pubg alot and listen to music alot too so which one should i choose hoping for you to answer thanks ill sub
Bear in mind that there will be some delay (~200ms) in even the best of gaming mode earbuds, you can get the Haylou GT5 here or the good ol' QCY T5 will serve you well too
hi kenneth,,, nice review,. anyway how about the chip integrate in haylou gt5 ? it as same as like gt1 XR or ?
thx ^^
I bought the Realme Bud Air 2 neo from Amazon US for 19.68 usd in August 2021. Brand new. I guarantee they are better than anything in this video.
Haha well for that price it’s a steal, I got my review up already as well
Which is better buy? Gt5 for 21 usd or aliensecret for 18 usd? I want a tws that is good for listening in voice quality rather than so much bass. Vocal clarity with a little bit of a bass is what i want. What do you recommend?
Got the GT5 thanks to you. Keep up.the good work bro
Enjoy it 😁
Just bought the Haylou GT1 XR and I must say I love the sound signature! Never been a basshead, I like me some clean and balanced sound. So the only downside there is the Micro USB, but I can live with it. In 2-3 years I will most likely replace these anyway with something newer (Soundpeats? Or a newer version of the GTx line?).
Hey man I love your videos. Do you think the KZ S1D's are better than the GT1 Plus?
Nope, I prefer the SQ of Haylou as well as the added benefits of QCC3020
So the GT1 normal is better for me.
lmao i just bought my GT1 XR for $18 a week ago and now i'm having second thoughts HAHAHAHA still a great review video as always though!
Haha anyway, I just hope you'll enjoy your GT1 XR!
It still has a more portable case and better mic quality for calls.
@@namedkenn yeah thanks! can't wait to see what the 2021 budget earbuds lineup would look like!
Edifies x3 is the best of all.the king under 20 usd
Hi Kenn, your vids are insanely good and really explained what the buyer need to know, thanks. I want to ask about Haylou gt5, how sensitive is it? You said in your vid that the sensor is too sensitive. I want to buy it but afraid that gt5 will give me a crap experience of accidental touching. Thank you
Hey Ken, thx for your always useful videos and opinions. What do you think about haylou gt5 vs Zime Winner. Thx in advance.
Josss masbro review nya 👏
Ga sia sia berarti beli Haylou GT5 🤭
awesome reviews man! the time stamps helps a lot! keep up the good work! subbed!
Between the Haylou GT5 for $21 and the QCY T5 for $17 which is the better pick for someone that wants low latency and prefers neutral sound or focus in the vocals and listens at low volume? What are the pros and cons between these two, and there are any other options I should consider?
The haylou gt5 or gt1 pro (with New chip) best in bass and sound quality? Thank you.
Just ordered the GT5 :)
They are awesome. Very comfortable (so light!) and have all the features you need. Sound quality is not the most immersive but they are very easy to listen to (no sharp sounds).
Thanks for helping me reply Alex!
Love your videos, i couldn't find alien or gt 1xr in my country the gt5 are availible are they worth it, should i go ahead and buy them
Well if you watched the video, you'll know the answer!
Are the GT5's secure in your ear when you wear them? For workout and stuffs
Nice bro, which sound do you prefer between edifier x3 and alien, thanks in advance
alien for sure
I think I've talked about it in my Edifier X3 review, please check it out!
@@namedkenn ok finally which sound and fit is better? Sonic and alien. Tks again
Good review man, I'm immense at your detailed review on these budget TWS
Just a question though which would you recommend on listening podcasts?
Keep it up!
Wow haylou win again, value for money kyknya yg bisa nyaingin cmn si qcy deh dan sempet Nemu nih gt5 di Rp 275k=$19.5
udah naek ya... kmrn liat di lapak orange cmn 269k
@@tonysetiawan9467 saya liat nya di toko ijo rubik
Haha sebut nama aja gapapa la xD kurang lebih sih harganya, dan betul lagi2 Haylou jadi best value, daym
@@namedkenn bener juga tombol touchnya tll sensitif🙄 bikin kesel klo pas ga sengaja kesentuh
Fastahh. Im buying either xr or gt5 today!
Hahaha video is up now!
Thanks for the detailed review 😁😁
Hey, the Poco X3 NFC supports AptX TWS, right? I have the X3 Pro, better chipset, but it just connects AptX, and not TWS mode. I am using Haylou GT1 XR. Kinda feeling sad.
Oh interesting! I'll try that out when my X3 Pro comes in a couple days
(And yes I just put an order on the X3 Pro! So excited!)
So for phone call, I saw others said that GT5 mic for call is a failure. But from your video GT5 is still okay right? eventhough GT1 XR is better.
Thanks for the review anyway👍
Yep, it's not a complete failure, but it's not the best (and yes I do agree the GT1 XR is slightly better)
I think it’s time to upgrade my GT1 to GT5!!!!! Thank you for this review. Very helpful
Excelente comparación de sonido, me ayudó a decidir por cuál ir! Sí, en 2022 jajaj. Gracias, saludos!
You're welcome, 😁
Which one is more suitable for sports?
I have QCY T6 but it has many problems so Im gonna return it and I dont want to buy QCY anymore.
Hai Selamat petang! best review ever
Thank you very much!
Hey kenn which better at battery life between KZ - Z1 vs KZ - S2 ? Thanx
KZ S2 for sure, Z1 only lasts 2h 30 mins
@@namedkenn aight, hopefully u drop the bttrytest for s2 on tweet 👍
But I just ordered GT1 XR...
It should arrive today. Crossing my fingers that I wouldn't regret it.
I don't care for wireless charging and still have a spare micro USB cable that I use to charge my game controllers, so no problem on that department.
I hope you'll like it anyway man!
Hey there, i want to ask , is it worth to upgrade for Edifier tws NB2 to Jabra elite 75t? Just your pure opinion on the sound quality and ANC level?
I would love to answer your question but unfortunately I haven't tried the Jabras yet, I've heard they're quite on the bassy side though
1) Edifier x3
2) Edifier x5
3) Edifier tws200
4) Qcy t9s
5) Qcy t7
6) Haylou gt1 plus
7) Haylou gt1 XR
8) tronsmart onyx ace
9) Soundpeats true air 2
10) Soundpeats true shift 2
11) Soundpeats true engine 3se
12) Any other TWS you know
Please do reply
That's a super long list! Anyway I've got my 30+ TWS tested on phone calls, but I do recommend the TrueAir2, review coming next week!
@@namedkenn what about the non-stem one? really need one for taking phone calls but not into airpods clone 😬
what do you recommend when using skype and Zoom? Thank you,
I would recommend the TrueAir2 😁
Kenneth, is there any tws that can allow you to mute/unmute from its button?
I think we all agree that sometimes when we work from home, we’re walking around the house while listening to a meeting from google meet/zoom/etc with microphone muted, and if we need to jump quickly into the meeting we will need to RUN back to the computer to unmute lol
Would love to watch a review of some tws that has this kind of feature 😁
Haha true that, but unfortunately I don’t think there’s any that can, since headphone controls has only been play/pause, skip songs, voice assistant and volume, no matter what type it is (wired/wireless)
Maybe a remapping software will help (i.e. when you press voice assistant it registers as a mute button instead) but it’ll be cool to see earbuds specifically made for online meetings
Gt5 or T15 ?
Call quality and music!
I was thinking to buy haylou t15. Is it still worth it compare to those new ones ?
Nice reviews man!
Thanks!
