Hi JP fan here! Thanks for supporting a lot of stuff from Japan, from Vtubers to our Anime and food, all your weird jokes, all your support, all your different opinions that make my day just as much as the Vtubers theme selves. Even though some of you guys get carried away by the white knight thing, I’m happy that you guys see them as people more than just cookie cutter idols that are there just for entertainment. So thanks for giving a bunch of these guys support and exposure to other foreign countries! Gotta sleep now, you know how hard shifts are here in Japan since that’s just as famous as our media lol. Thanks from a fan hundreds of kilometers away.
I love how even the JP bros notice the sometimes ridiculous white knighting going on. But the intentions are always positive! Overseas bros absolutely love it when Vtubers and JP fans reach out to us too even if there's sometimes a language barrier. Thanks!
I still can't believe that she found my comment, I was watching the stream and heard something about an "eigo commento" but I could have never imagined it was me! It made me super happy, because I really like Mio and I want the best for her, I feel like she's being ignored by most hololive fans, and seeing how most of Hololive has passed her in subs even tho she puts so much effort into this could make her feel like she's not good enough, and I don't want that for her I wrote that comment because I wanted her to know how much we love her as a person, more than a character, even tho she has less fans Knowing that I made her happy makes me happy
I feel you mate but it doesn't do to obsess over comparisons of sub counts. Rather than say she has less subs than this or that colleague of hers rather focus on the fact that she has (at time of typing) 425, 000 subscribers. There are channels that have been active for over a decade that aren't even close to that. Beyond that this is the best aspect of the internet; there's this person you've never met and likely never will but she still made you happy and now you've made her happy too!
Glad our thoughts are getting through them even with the language barrier. Showing that a single comment can really affect people especially to this wholesome mama of ours.
Well, the public is a reflection of the media itself. They're all good, hardworking, talented girls and I don't believe for a second that they're just acting the "idol part". Someone like Watame who can be moved to tears by a single song or an appreciative comment from her audience can't be acting. They're genuinely good people, and I think the community is a mirror of this : people who just wants to have a break from the daily grind of our lives and enjoy song, jokes, games and wholesomeness for one or two hours per day. So here's your upvote, fellow Kaigai niki, and have a great day.
I'm a normie (40 m, married). I encountered a clip of her singing, her voice is good just abit unpolished which can be trained. I also won't want her to stop singing because her natural gift is her voice.
Honestly Mio has voice that I love. It calms me down simply by listening to her voice. Her "Sparkle" cover is soo beautiful that I got goosebumps the first time I saw it.
You just know how calming her voice is when other Hololive girls also outright said they love her voice. They said it feels warm and it gives them energy. At least that's what Korone and Okayu said.
I feel like 50% of Mio-mama's mom energy comes from her model and the other 50% is just her natural mom energy. I remember seeing her saying that "only overseas fans call me Mio-mama" but it feels so natural to call her that.
See- the girls DO read the comments in the archive .please like and leave a comment and interact with other commenters it help their youtube algorithim.
The beauty of the comment is that it addresses a reality we must face and love for Mio at the same time. Yes, there will come a time Ookami Mio will cease to lend us her voice. We must acknowledge that, for it humanises the talent that is behind Mio. And that finally, wherever she is after being Mio, that she continues to lend her voice to the world to hear
Music is universal, it unites, binds and ties together those who have no need for words, just as well as those who do. It could be said that many overseas viewers enjoy the talking streams on a different level from the Japanese audience, but it still feels more like a curiosity. But when it comes to song, I do believe there is no barrier anymore. Anyone from any nation can understand that they enjoy music. That's why I think karaoke streams are for everyone and one of the most valuable parts in some Vtubers repertoire.
@@GachaMofo Its a online translator (and an app) that apparently (cant say for sure since im by all means no expert, but seems that way) do a very good job with long and complicated JP (and other language) sentences in contrast to Google, who for now at least, good only with single words and short \ more simple sentences.
I followed the link to check out her original singing stream, boy was I ever glad I did! Mio's singing voice is surprisingly good! She has a surprisingly wide vocal range, can hit high notes and notes well without going off key. Her singing voice doesn't have a big impact or lots of power, but its so pleasant and comfy, that I can easily fall asleep listening to her singing.
Honestly, I like and appreciate all of them. I'm a few months within the peko hole, (easily countable with the fingers of 1 hand) but I wanna watch all of them, everyone seems to be lovely in their own way... Too bad there's only so many hours a day I could spend watching them and the clips. I subbed to most of them so I could get to know them more, but honestly I can't watch some of them (the Apex and ASMR streamers, coz I get dizzy and I hate the tingles) and I feel bad about it. Ugh.
I'm glad our support can reach them despite the language barrier! I hope we can continue making those who give us so much happiness just a little in return!❤
Ngl, I didn't think that they look at the comments in the archive. But yeah, I'm 100% behind that dude. The world needs people like her. We need people like her. Maybe that's why we're tuning in to all the Hololivers now.

That's not a given. I have seen plenty of Spanish, Portuguese and Cyrillic (cant identify the language with that alphabet) before. After all, even among the rest of the world English may not be part of their skillset. Vtubers attract audiences that don't understand them, which lowers the entry barrier to every possible person with internet.

Not trying to take away the wholesomeness or anything. But you know the guy who commented it is gonna simp even more. I don't mean it in an offensive way
gaikoku "外国"(outside+country = foreign country) kaigai "海外"(sea+outside = overseas) both mean "foreign country" from a Japanese perspective, but if you're not in an island country, then you can't use "overseas" since it doesn't make sense.
