There might be 6,000 Greek islands, but Paxos and Anitpaxos islands are world renowned as having some of the best beaches and the clearest water. There's likely lots of beaches and islands, let alone Greek Islands, that make those kind of claims though so when we jumped on our Med Experience Sail Greece trip we were keen to see for ourselves.
We spent a few days sailing around Paxos island and Antipaxos island, including some in the next vlog as well, and can definitely confirm one thing - they are home to THE clearest water we've seen anywhere in the world. Previously that title was held for the Phillippines or Samoa, but these little Greek island paradises have taken the lead.
In terms of the best beaches, that's a trickier one - because we were sailing we often didnt go onto the beach. From what we saw though, would have to say the water is better than the beaches themselves. Still beautiful, but not in our top 3.

Yes, the clearest water is in the Greek Aegean and in the Turkish Aegean Coast... I love it to Sailing in this two Countrys and snorkeling with Sea Turtels ...

Visited Parga, Paxos and Antipaxos 2009. That beach at Antipaxos is amazing. But also Egremni, Porto katsiki( Lefkas), Mirtos( Kefalonia), Navagio( Zakintos).... are fantastic

I too have travelled the world and when the gods created the world they did save the best for themselves, Greece.... people have to realise it's not just the spectacular beaches and waters in Greece, it's the amazing vibe, scenery, natural beauty, history, amazing food and hospitality, where no other country holds a candle that greece offers. Another great video guys I can't wait to go back again next year.

That water is unreal. Never thought I'd see captured on video water the color of cerulean blue. Not only do you manage to showcase the fun of it, technically your videography is top drawer.

So i think that you are right, because it's dificult to realise that these landscapes, and the unbelievable clear water with the light-blue color exist. But it's real! You should search in google ionian sea islands Greece and i am sure that you will be impressed. Specifically Paxos and Antipaxos islands have the most turquoise-blue water in greece

Love how you keep the background music to a minimum. Thank you. So many vloggers go there and cover the sounds of the crickets, the water and the daily life with inane music one could listen to anywhere and any time. A refreshing and welcome change. It's a long time since I've heard greek crickets and I love the sound so much.

Been to Corfu, Paxos and Anti Paxos twice in 7years and it really is the clearest water I've ever seen. Also the Greek food is so good. I would go back in a heartbeat.

As a Greek I confirm that the beaches of Antipaxos are just amazing, top 5 all over Greece definitely, which really means a lot considering the plethora of islands and insane length of my country's coastal line. It's a must visit. Great choice guys, nice video and thanks for reminding me of very joyful times
I learnt to sail many years ago in Paxos...such a beautiful place and used to be a favourite of Armani. Antipaxos beach is one of the best beaches in the world I read...no hotels though

Beautiful islands, but there are some most amazing places with much better sites and waters and not so popular maybe, like kythira for example. Think out of a commercial box.. ;)

You forgot the best beach of paxos. Erimitis beach, in english hermit beach. It is exactly how you can imagine it and even better.

Not specifically that we saw, but there most likely is, just not a huge amount of tourists.

Loved the water in Antipaxos and paxos, but not sure what our fav island would be! Been to about 12 or so though
Many travel channels try and say their showing us the way to travel but are either boring or super fast. But you guys actually do it the way we love to travel, relaxed but still steeped in rich atmosphere, people and food. Your travels are the epitome of what vacations should be. Getting away and discovering life and being re-energized all at once :)

Clearest water I ever saw was between Amalfi and Capri in Italy but I think the water in this vlog beats it! Those drone shots were amazing - seeing the shadows of the yachts on the sea bed was incredible. Loving these sailing videos guys :)
It's all about that flat water, clear blue and those shadows isn't it! Again making us think we need to head to Amalfi Rex haha

Eastern Mediterranean sea is generally has very oligothropic waters and is more clear then western, including Amalfi and Capri :)

I have been holidaying on the island of Paxos ever since I was nine months old, and I thoroughly recommend a visit to this hidden gem. Due to the relatively small size of the island, there is no airport actually located on Paxos, but this helps preserve its charm and its unspoiled beauty. The locals are extremely friendly, and the food is delicious, and, as highlighted in this video, the water is crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling. It is a truly beautiful place, and any holiday here is really worth the visit.

Trivia: Did you know that the ancient Greeks had no concept of the colour blue. They didn't even have a word for it. They descibed the sea as wine coloured so it would have been red to them...

In ancient greek the blue is Κυανό ,kyano and glafko but after Homer . You have right , ancient Greeks had only 4-5 colors to describe

Probably you have to visit also Chrisi island 🌴 in the south side of Crete . I was there yesterday 7/10/20 , warm water , white sand , the same clean water like on your video and temperature was 36 Celsius. Amazing 😉!!!!!
