    I have been learning to texture in a blender for 3 months, I watched a dozen videos on this topic, and I just learned from this video that there are different cool Strokes in the blender heh heh heh, I suffered so much with these lines...

    If your brush is tiled change it to View Plane from the Mapping section which is in under the texture section.

    Cool video! As image editors go, are you familiar with Krita? It's free and has some great image editing tools

    Is there any way to rig the suspension of the tank to conform to the terrain without using physics? I would love a tutorial on this!

    Hey brother love your tutorials but I don't see any way to combine the two methods from the videos you speak of. This one and the procedural wear method

  • @dassatisfan
    @dassatisfan 3 года назад +1

    I would just load that in Substance Painter and paint it there, metalness and roughness maps would be assigned from applied materials

    • @ArijanRace
      @ArijanRace  2 года назад +1

      I agree that this would be more efficient, but substance painter is not free. The point here is that you can do it in blender as well, although it is more difficult.

    hey my brush doesnt work like you did and also how does your material view look so good

    I'm working on a photo Realism Scene with a spaceship and i have no idea what would make the best Texture for the Hull, I tried Navy Ships but they ended up looking more like cement, I'm thinking an American tank would be the closest Possible Surface to base it on

    • @ArijanRace
      @ArijanRace  2 года назад +1

      It will look less like concrete if you apply metallic, roughness and normal maps. The texture itself is the least important, as long as it's not wood or something.

  • @AntiNoobDefence

    Does it make sense to use this method if you have an interior modelled as well? Because the inside of the Abrams is usually whiteish/grey with some wear

    • @ArijanRace
      @ArijanRace  2 года назад +1

      Yes, you would just assign a different material to that part of the mesh.

    Hi mate... you may know the answer.
    How would I roll up a tank track like it was a spare set.... you are into armour obviously so you may have seen them stacked up in the factories.
    Would an array modify and bones rig work.. or would I get a better result with a different method.
    I am doing panther track so I have the hollow guide horns too avoid too... it's driving me crazy.
    Thanks in advance

    • @ArijanRace
      @ArijanRace  3 года назад

      It depends on whether you want them to move or not. If they're fixed in place, just array them and wrap around a curve. Otherwise a bone rig would definitely work better but it could be quite a bit of work

      @@ArijanRace Thank for the quick reply bro
      i want to create static versions for 3d printing mate. i have printed out single links for movable parts i just use brass wire for the pins my mate made a video here of some i sent him. ruclips.net/video/IKmNL_BEuTA/видео.html&ab_channel=GregReilly1%2F35ScaleModels they are at 13 mins in.
      i was just hoping to have a mesh i could go back and edit. so i can print at different angles and positions. but thanks mate i will have a bash again. see what happens

      @@ArijanRace yeah i tried i don't know what i am doing wrong but.... cannot do it , any chance of a quick tutorial , maybe using primitives as a make shift track link? must be something simple like a rotation. off set or something

      Armour isn't matte... the army wish they can keep that effect... but it always turns satin after it's had a good rub with the environment
