This is a shed. He obvious is talented just like his father. Keep in mind this is a vocal shed/freestyle session so there are parts of the performance that will seem rough and need polishing because they have not worked through them in frequent rehearsals. Usually in a freestyle session a vocalist’s weaknesses and strengths are more visible because they need to rely on their improvisational skills. Singers usually have to plan and prepare how they will sing a song to know how they will place their breath, approach difficult notes, pace themselves, and sing in the right key. They don’t get to prep for these Taco Tuesday sessions so you’ll see all their weaknesses.

One thing about us millennial and gen z singers is we know how to do our runs and hit our big high notes. But honey we fall so flat when it comes to conviction. You can tell most of us just sing the words, but have no understanding or connection to what's coming out of our mouths. This man packed all of his vocal abilities into one song and ended up sounding like confusion. And I mean no harm by saying this. But after so long the runs, riffs, belts, falsetto, and whistle notes gets BORING!! We, new generations of singers, have got to get some soul and a better understanding of what music really is. Cause it's abundantly clear that we're just up here singing notes and that isn't enough.

Yea it was too much, for the vibe of the song. It also takes practice and performance experience to figure out how to make a song your own in a different style without it sounding like karaoke or making people wish for the original while your performing. Nonetheless, talented talented guy!!!!
