Yvonne, all those colors are beautiful, i absolutely love the first green that you mixed. Buthen you pulled out the second, wow im going to order some of and the cast iron as well. I thought it was just another black, boy was i wrong. Everything is beautiful. Love them. God bless😊

Yvonne...I have been watching your GCR channel and The Journey channel and it is so neat to think back a year ago and I have seen your evolution as a crafter and DIYer expand and get better and better. Remember when everything was black or white, literally? And colors were never considered? And now you are doing some beautiful work with different medias in gorgeous colors. Oh my! I thought that green in the first was perfect…then here comes ‘carriage house’!❤ But, boy oh boy, that ‘cast iron’ piece! The Restore surely did make the drawers look brand new! Great restores!❤

Yvonne you just broke my heart. I love wood furnishings and that little chest of drawers with the white porcelain knobs. I may have put a darker stain but you would still see wood , but you painted green. I love the color green but not on that little chest. I love watching you and your make overs but that one hurt. I will still watch you are very talented. It probably has to do with my age (83).. If we had a piece of furniture painted like these pieces were people knew they were second hand and not new or hand me downs. I f the wood was refurbished with a wood finish. one would think it was new or a valuable antique, not some ones old piece of junk.
I know I can’t make everyone happy.. I have to do what I think will sell. (that’s part of how I make my income) I too love wood. But also love painted pieces. I get where your coming from. We have to hutches in our booth.. natural wood.. I guess had.. the one hutch had been in there for almost a year if not more. Real, unpainted wood. We basically had marked it down giving it away. (it just sold this week) and we have a another primitive step back hutch.. it’s gorgeous. But there again, I refuse to paint it.. and there it sits. At least it looks gorgeous in our booth. And it’s in our antique booth.. nothing new in this booth all old stuff. But I I said I understand. But felt I needed to explain.
I love the cast iron color the most of the three pieces! But, I enjoyed your showcasing of “my” swans! I’m so looking forward to having them next week!

The cast iron is amazing
For some reason a comment from another video ended up on your channel but this is the correct one ! These were 3 lovely small pieces and although I thought the two greens you chose were great the cast iron was beautiful and made that pice look so classy you also showed how the preparation and finish really makes all the difference to these plain wood pieces 😊❤

I just ordered some fusion paint n kicking myself why I didn’t order the cast iron. Well I’ve to do it as their having a sale. I’m thrilled you used it as I know exactly what it looks like.

I am soooo glad you mentioned the PAINT BRUSH…I was wondering if you like that? I always say I need to “try on” a paint brush before buying because some really hurt my poor old arthritic hands🥴. What a FABULOUS TIP about wax on the screws !!! THANK YOU CHRIS !
The other two pieces are delicious also… oh the greens I love too! Black and green are mostly what I love on furniture pieces.

I will definitely be doing more Cast Iron pieces. It’s so high end looking. Fits into so many decor styles.
As for the brush. I, myself will be getting a few more. Mind you I’ve had carpal tunnel surgery in both hands. It’s light weight. The size is amazing. The bristles are so soft. (so not as many brush strokes) and that’s saying a lot. Because it $40.. and there isn’t or hasn’t ever been a brush I was willing to spend that on🥰
@@GingerChickRehab Thank you for the good information on that brush. They wouldn’t do the carpal tunnel surgery on my wrist, because my shoulders were so bad! I do these exercises with my wrist the Dr gave me. Probably having the shoulder surgery improved the pain in the wrist, because there is no talk of it now. But boy sometimes it is bad…BUT I’m not doing nearing the work with my wrist anymore like you are. 👍👍 Sitting at a desk doing Data Entering for 9 - 10 hours is over … somedays it hurt to drive home or grab my cup to drink my coffee. Repetitive movement is the worse right ! Yikes.
Can’t wait to see more Cast Iron paint ! I have a sample, but maybe I need to BIG JAR 😁

Did you do these in 1 day?? My house is always a disaster 😬, my husband thinks I need to help him do everything, his couple of days at most is week or two and I feel guilty working on my stuff with the house looking like it does 🫤 To paint 1 of those takes me probably a week, how do you allocate your time to the shop??
Yes.. I did these in a day.. I get that. I don’t want them laying around waiting on me to finish them. So I give myself a whole day for a furniture piece. With the new paints I’ve been using.. it truly has been just a day. Though give or take there may be a little to complete on the next day… but it’s minimal

I love watching your process of furniture flipping. I do like the black wax added to the green paint. The cast iron color is beautiful. I watch a southern lady that does some beautiful work. She used a transfer that made think of you. Old fashioned Christmas with sheep. Her videos are Farm Fresh Designs 59 or something like that. I just can’t remember the company that did the transfer but I’d looked it up and it’s a beautiful set of Christmas sheep transfers. 😊❤
