I'm not sure about that technique I simply use an eraserable marker and trace the Mold. Then I'm not having to Worry about keeping tension on the Mold.
My man, you have got to order a different system. Yours is way too thick. They typically are way too thick and density at the front hairline and you need someone to professionally cut yours. No disrespects just an honest opinion.

If you use 4 thumbtacks to secure the template in place it will free your hand to pull the system taut and make it easier to cut accurately.
