    *I guess after reading a couple “he’s fat” comments, I need to lighten up on beer and good food. I blame it on the camera adding a few extra pounds, all the fat I have has nothing to do with it. Lol

      Max is all over the road. The Ducati rider was in his lane at all times. I owned a 600RR and a R6 and those bikes are no where close to the performance of the 959 as Max stated. 959 is way faster and better in the corners. Took Max 8.5min to pass him on his 1000RR. Good thing for Max that the Ducati rider was not on a V4 or 1199, would have left him in the dust. Max needs some track time to learn cornering speed as he only knows how to go fast in a straight line...point proving in this video

      @slashbl 3 года назад +5

      the myth of the power... A lot of people think that hp is the main factor when riding on narrow roads. 959 (& similar mid-range bike) has less power, but less weight and more agility. Where I live (in the alps) all the fastest time are made with supermotard, 600cc or small twin cyclinder

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn 3 года назад +1

      @@slashbl I think you're right, in the main. But I've ridden the Alps, the Pyrenees, raced 600's, owned 200+hp machines, and rode this road (the Dragon) only this week; plus dozens of times before. And when you have 318 curves in just 11 miles, on this road, it's the rider that makes the real difference. But a big-bore engine producing plenty of accessible torque certainly doesn't harm when it comes to safer over-takes and punching hard out of the curves. This road would be a lot of fun on a Ducati Supermotard SP 😀

    • @DroneStrike1776
      @DroneStrike1776 3 года назад +1

      @@slashbl Big liter bikes are made to fill little men's ego. Majority of them can't even ride the damn thing. Max hit a top 124, could've done that on a 600. He could've rode the entire trail just as fast on a modified MT-07 or SV650 with some Penske or Ohlin suspension, brake pads, and good tires. The same stuff spec racers use on the weekends.

      He’s a club racer.. meaning he participates in a track league. A “pro” means “professional” ie they get payed to race. Dude is a club racer, who’s clearly many steps above wristy. Wristy doesn’t do much track days for two reasons. A) half of his views are haters, and by doing dumb shit on the streets he gains more views from that. And B) a season track day enthusiast will our ride him consistently on bikes making half the power - which doesn’t make for good “content”.

    Ducati rider: 120-130 HP, smooth and safe riding, confident, fluid, almost cruising.
    Max: 200 HP, edgy riding, committed, always in low gear, trying hard to stay close.
    A lesson to all the noobs who only look at HP as their religion. Cheers.

    • @action4255
      @action4255 3 года назад

      the Ducati 959, 150hp enables you to go fluently with high speed and the V2 helps to come out the corners with enough punch. All in a effortless way.
      The BMW is overpowered for such roads.
      Max stays in 2nd gear, no time to use other gears, as the BMW pulls his attention.
      The same experience we had: one rider at Tuono1100Fac., the other at a Duc Panigale V2.
      The V2 managed the corners effortlessly, has easy to handle power (155hp), the Tuono with +20hp neede more body work and lean angle (wider tyre at rear)
      Ride safe!

    The Ducati Pro knows the road, all the lines along with imperfections on the road, but most importantly he is one with that machine. The Ducati is well maintained so factor in his confidence and skill makes this a beautiful thing to watch. I wonder if the Pro Rider has plans to do the Isle of Man, or if he has in the past. He is on that type of level and was taking it easy. He knows even with his experience these type of winding roads can get the best of anyone at any moment. The BMW was on one bar of fuel with the light on. I am gonna guess the Ducati was almost full of fuel.

    • @mattsmith7897
      @mattsmith7897 Год назад

      I appreciate the compliment, but I am WAY below the level of rider it takes to compete at Isle of Man. I looked into going and trying to qualify, even though I know I wouldn’t, just for the experience of it. But it’s stupid expensive, and the amount of licenses you have to possess and be current as a top rider, is unreal. So I had to settle for just going as a spectator.

    The Ducati stayed in SECOND gear the entire time, and was almost never in the upper power band where it makes mongo power. He wasn't approaching the bikes G-limit in turns, and you could see that at corner exits he was much smoother and stronger than MaxWrist. The only place Max could keep up was in straights, but in multiple S turns the Ducati just walked away. This guy could have easily turned it up a notch or two and just completely destroyed MaxWrist. I ride the Panoigale 1199. On group rides I do the same to the other riders. This was a "Mere" 959, about equivalent to a hot GSXR750. The Panigale, 1199/899 or 1299/959, or even the V2, is just a corner slicing weapon. MaxWrist's bike was a lumbering cow, and Max was a fumbling amateur going up against a good rider. The second he got a straightaway he took off in high rpm's, but he couldn't "Race" worth a darn. Max should be very embarassed claiming superiority with such a power mismatch.
