Wow! Thanks for such a wonderful compliment. I always tell folks that I try to be the teacher that I wish I had had when I started to learn how to make jewelry. Thanks for watching! 😀
The bracelet measurement info is very helpful because I've been wanting to make a cuff bracelet for myself and although, surprisingly, there's very little space between the ends of my cuff bracelet measurements, I'm sure it's MUCH BETTER to start with a little extra wire than to not have enough. A small amount of leftovers can go into the scrap pile for another project or meltdown. Thanks for sharing! 👍😊
Accurate measurements can eventually help you to estimate the cost of materials. This will make you feel more confident when providing a quote for a commission. Thanks for watching. 😀

What's the best way to convert the ring measurement ( ex 8) to a mm measurement say for when sawing the material, keeping in mind thickness of the metal. Thanks
Just Google "ring size by mm" and you'll discover a number of websites that provide charts with equivalents for ring sizes. Just add two or three times the thickness of the metal to the length you need and you'll be fine. Thanks for your support! : )
This couldn't be more timely. I got my first commission today! One for a wide ring and one for a 3mm wide band, but I only had a zipable plastic ring sizer with me to measure her for the narrow ring. What to do! 🤔
If you can't measure your client's finger with a wide ring gauge, my best advice would be to make the wide ring band at least a quarter size larger than the 3mm wide band. Good luck with your commission. And, congratulations! Thanks for your support! : )
Yeh! and if it is a lady and she becomes pregnant 4 weeks later she returns and out comes the ring cutter ( this actually happened to me last year) for some reason I am have a hard time replacing my wide ring sizers, all I can find are numbered, being down here (Australia) I want the letter variety
It's lucky that you had a ring cutter. Otherwise, that woman might have lost her finger. I haven't come across the type of ring sizer that you mentioned in your comment. If I see one, I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for your support! : )
Making grills is out of my wheelhouse. I recommend that you do some more research and find someone in your area who can assist you. You don't want to make a grill incorrectly. It could literally bust someones teeth. Good luck.
