Thank you Sir. for rhis video. I had been looking for a video like this one for so long. I have been wanting to redo my Cindy Crawford dinning chairs for a while now and didn't know how until now. Thanks to you. I have watched this video many times now. You make it look so simple and encourages me to get it done. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for sharing this informative tutorial. While looking for alternatives to replacing the cane on my chairs. The reupholster approach just might be the best route for me.

Hi Kevin 😉 so...I was wondering if you will have a video of doing the seat of a dining chair? I am recycling 8 dining chairs that a neighbor who was wanting to throw them out..the "bones" are in excellent shape however..the material and padding is in need of a "facelift" ☺️ I took off several staples of of the first chair ..."whew" . Unfortunately under all the previous attempts of previous re~upholstering the seat base is made out of...😮 Particle board 😭 so I've just finished making the seat base out of some sheets of plywood 3/4 inch ...it's just what I had in my grage, which was easier than pulling all of those staples! I used jigsaw..after cutting the bases square..I used a jigsaw to "shape as these chairs have a unique beautiful curvy shape.😁 So it would be lovely to see how you'd do a dining chair.. especially the "base". 😉😉
This is a great video, thank you. Doing my mom's dining chair back has been a challenge until I saw this video that uses webbing instead of reusing the piece of plywood that came with the chair. The only thing I would suggest is that you cut the fabric back a bit larger than the foam, then fold the fabric a bit when stapling over the foam. This avoids having to cut the extra fabric and having to tuck the frayed hem inside the seam, both time intensive steps. Our chair backs turned out beautifully! Thanks again for this video.
You might want to watch the video before this one before commenting on the size of the fabric. I might suggest just saying thank you rather than critique a master upholsterer when he takes his time to make a video too.
Great vid thanks for making it. watching part one oh man I hate fabric that frays easy just reupholstered 2 chairs with fabric like that nightmare but it came out good
How much extra material should I order when doing an upholstery job. I am doing 8 dining room chairs. Antique top and bottom box cushion with piping at top and bottom and back of chair. Just a round about I got 16 1/2 yards plus 4 yard of different fabric for the back of the tops. Chair bottom and top measure about 22 by 22 in fabric.
Question I don't have room to staple my fabric to the chair .i did remove something from back chair I called basket so the places is to narrow should I do pleas
Thank you! I’ve been trying to find a solution to fix my dining chairs. Ou German shepherd bit the upholstery and I have no idea how to fix the back. I was gonna leave it unmatched 🤦♀️
Thank you! Your instructions were clear. It was filmed so we could see everything you were doing.

In part one you mentioned the use of tacks prior to staple guns. What was used for the attaching of piping prior to glue guns?
Elmers glue and 6 oz. tacks

Great tutorial
What kind of staple gun is that you are using? Can I use a battery stapler or does it have to be an air gun?
What size staples are best? Thank you
Well done. How much in general do you think it would cost to do the entire chair?
What kind of glue do you use in your glue gun
What size staples for the fabric
‘No crying in upholstery......’ Need to remember that one.

Where did you get your webbing and how much was it, please?
you can buy it at hobby lobby, joann's or just about any craft store. not more than a dollar a yard
I know you can get solutions for that on woodprix website.
Pure awesomeness
Go to WoodPrix page if you'd like to know how to build it. Great solutions for everyone I think.
I was using woodprix instructions to make it and I did it already :)
You can use woodprix, it has the best handbooks and ready instructions. You can learn much from them and make it yourself.
