Michael, I relate to you exactly, except I am 38. Have wondered if I was INTJ based on I.Q. alone, but I am just not quite that way; definitely have loads of empathy which I questioned as Fi, but I'm busy trying to get people happy in public, too - and my goals hit the back burner in favor of others often, so seems like Fe. Had the EXACT same thing happen to me at 32 with the "bipolar" diagnosis. Just so you know, that valproic acid is destructive to the nervous system. Don't take it again. You probably have more nervous sensitivity than you even did before. Jesus helps me.
Intuition is really powerful, and can at times be (self-)destructive. So being careful is especially important for the INFJ. If they neglect the outer world (and physical reality), they might get stuck in their head and misinterpret things.
@@basicmbti25 You are so accurate, the hair on my back is standing up. That is exactly what we INFJ's do. And when we get stuck in that TiNi loop, then we shut ourselves off from reality. And we are lost inside our analytical brain, going round and round in circles, sometimes for years, sometimes for decades.
Most people need to train to read body language, a study in, I think its called Kinesics. INFJs instinctively read body language right down to gesture clusters, facial expressions, inflections in speech, etc. Unfortunately ( or fortunately) I knew when my ex husband was cheating and with whom even though he had this narrative about how he couldn't stand the girl in question because..... busted him again "rekindling past memories" with his ex wife...what do you guys think, positive or negative trait???

@@toxendon First of all I would take another test on a different website, because INFJs tend to be mistyped (and you might also be INFP). Second of all, there are a loot of websites and RUclips channels about it, and once you google something like "INFJ traits", you will find a lot of sources. It's a giant community

an infj and an artist here. some infjs i met throughout my short 20-something life seems to have difficulty meeting deadlines. i think this stems from our need of perfectionism which also linked to our creativity side. from what i learned of myself, i found where i'm good at and bad at. for example i am good at designing a character while i am bad at drawing scenic backgrounds. so for daily need/work need, i focused more on character designs than backgrounds. i got a lot of work done and build quite good portfolios. it's more important to know your limit and honed it. just to get it done. it is better to have something imperfect but finished rather than perfection that's never completed. infjs who are creators will understand what i mean when i say; there's this unexplainable pleasure to see our creations laid up. to see how much we have made. to see ppl appreciated them. while at it you can still work on the things you bad at on your free time. which i do. there's no rush. we got all the time in the world.
It's admirable to get things actually done. And it's so great to hear that you are accomplishing work. The main reason for not meeting deadlines is perfectionism in this case, yeah, and the INFJ has really high standards in general. Which is both good and bad. Wishing you best of success!

Sometimes you are very surprised that things are so easy for you to see and other's can't see the same things....like this virus, and the outcome of it, if people do not wear masks, or keep their distance. and another thing no matter how old you get, your feelings seem to become stronger and stronger than ever before, and dealing with Love feelings when you get into spirit, can be so strong. Here is a thought, 2 infjs stuck in stress patterns for years one choosing the quiet forgiveness route (which enables behavior that needed forgiveness) the other is overt about it (to try to prevent those previous issues). Non-stop stress patterns introduced, intentionally to cultivate the response one or the other to an outcome. As i said, i would not want to be someone's project. As they would not. No one likes being manipulated. Then using your own conversations against you. Thanks for the reminder. That "social media"(social manipulation) is what i was expressing it was.

I think it’s pattern analysis (as Loki said), seeing the big picture, able to pick up trends and incorporating that information accurately, as well as intuition, all combined together. This future predicting ability can be a difficult burden to bear for the INFJ though, and is often wrong when s/he has a personal stake in the matter, and becomes undisciplined and gets it wrong due to fear or involuntary bias.
It is like living with 'Casandra syndrome' I feel a deep sadness when I can 'see' where things will go, and I know it's pointless to say anything ; so many people just have no clue and they refuse to hear .
Acc to me intuition is a curse and a boon at the same time...it's a curse cause sometimes you get to know something in which u get stuck with...and it's also a boon cause u get to know someone's feelings so easily and accordingly u get to know how to react at that exact moment

Future vision is helpful but yes it always makes me stress, sometimes I don't know what to do just to stop what gonna happen. But it helps me too to think early if what gonna be the solution just to stop what gonna happen (this is everytime I predict bad future)
In all of my life, nothing has ever given me more problems and trouble than my misunderstood sense of humor. I've lost friends, I've lost jobs and I've even had the police called on me, when my intentions were to laugh and have fun and do things I thought people would enjoy. As far as writing, yeah, I'm a writer. I wrote a purely innocent letter to the 11 year old girl next door to me, because I love and understand children and want to be friends with them. The mother had me arrested on charges of felony stalking and I spent a week in the county jail. I never touched the girl. I don't have a record or anything. Writing letters, oh boy, I can tell you about all the problems and trouble I've had with that, too. My brother and sister have alienated me, because of my writing them letters. Writing comes naturally to me

Omg ive literally been thinking about changing jobs to a more humanitarian one. Right now i write for a company but it's not creative and it isn't a humanitarian job either so it's kind of unfulfilling and just for money right now. Now Im trying to find time to focus on my creative goals but im also thinking of working somewhere where i can help people.
Since you are a writer, you could start a blog? I was writing for companies too. Writing is just a tool, and what if you could pick a topic that will help other people - so your writing would have a humanitarian purpose.

Using my psychic INFJ powers I'll say most MBTI channels that chose to go the route of robot voices and stock video/images is mainly because the channel creator is an Introvert...change my mind! Also, just my opinion but I think it's better to have a real voice narration because text-to-speech voices seem very impersonal and it will lump you into the other MBTI channels that use robot voices so it's harder to distinguish as unique brand

@J K That will depend on the context, and the kind of manipulation, and the intentions of the manipulator. We generally agree with you that nobody likes being manipulated, however we need to be more specific here

I think it’s pattern analysis (as Loki said), seeing the big picture, able to pick up trends and incorporating that information accurately, as well as intuition, all combined together. This future predicting ability can be a difficult burden to bear for the INFJ though, and is often wrong when s/he has a personal stake in the matter, and becomes undisciplined and gets it wrong due to fear or involuntary bias.

Reading people is an INFJ skill, but not what they are thinking. It’s more a case of perceiving what the person is about in a broader sense.

Future vision is helpful but yes it always makes me stress, sometimes I don't know what to do just to stop what gonna happen. But it helps me too to think early if what gonna be the solution just to stop what gonna happen (this is everytime I predict bad future)
In all of my life, nothing has ever given me more problems and trouble than my misunderstood sense of humor. I've lost friends, I've lost jobs and I've even had the police called on me, when my intentions were to laugh and have fun and do things I thought people would enjoy. As far as writing, yeah, I'm a writer. I wrote a purely innocent letter to the 11 year old girl next door to me, because I love and understand children and want to be friends with them. The mother had me arrested on charges of felony stalking and I spent a week in the county jail. I never touched the girl. I don't have a record or anything. Writing letters, oh boy, I can tell you about all the problems and trouble I've had with that, too. My brother and sister have alienated me, because of my writing them letters. Writing comes naturally to me

Omg ive literally been thinking about changing jobs to a more humanitarian one. Right now i write for a company but it's not creative and it isn't a humanitarian job either so it's kind of unfulfilling and just for money right now. Now Im trying to find time to focus on my creative goals but im also thinking of working somewhere where i can help people.
Since you are a writer, you could start a blog? I was writing for companies too. Writing is just a tool, and what if you could pick a topic that will help other people - so your writing would have a humanitarian purpose.
And PS, writing comes in handy in very different ways. I write the scripts for my videos for example. So... Bottom line, focus on the topics you love.

Yeah. That's why we switched to a real voice in the recent videos. And will never come back to tex-to-speech again (unless it's for special effects)
Using my psychic INFJ powers I'll say most MBTI channels that chose to go the route of robot voices and stock video/images is mainly because the channel creator is an Introvert...change my mind! Also, just my opinion but I think it's better to have a real voice narration because text-to-speech voices seem very impersonal and it will lump you into the other MBTI channels that use robot voices so it's harder to distinguish as unique brand
