Zha jiang mien is a South Korean dish because I ate it before in South korea and all zha jiang mien packets are in korean. I also asked my friend who is from Taiwan and China and they said that they did not know the dish.

This is Beijing style that was the origin of Korean one. Our style is darker and sweeter and stickier. This dish was changed to JJa-jang mien in Inchun by Chinese Korean called 화교. Korean style is more delicious by the way. If you had already Korean style first, You wouldn't feel any taste on this style in Beijing.
