    sounds like a conversation I've had with myself lately... RUclips has throttled down views for everyone apart from the bigger channels. Paul, just keep doing what you're doing... Everyone needs to click the 'thumbs up' button!

      yeah I don't really know what is happening and prefer blame myself than the algorithm as I just find it too easy the later...People habit change, get bored and want to see different things, there are a lot of reason I forgot to mention in the video...And the thing is like i said I don't mind to do less view, is just the fact that is doen't stop to go down that make the whole things a bit scary...

      @@audioreakt You are doing nothing wrong. RUclips prefers 10 min video stuff. RUclips does not like recommending livestreams too. I nearly quit RUclips a couple of days ago too.

    Paul!!!! You are literally the best ableton/production channel. The way you even use ableton and your workflow is unique on the platform.
    Maybe I am wrong, but I would kill for more techno from scratch videos as there you can see the thought process and workflow the best, not to mention little ableton tricks, etc.
    I would be making nothing withou you, please never stop.
    And im sure many others will agree with me, love uuuu

    Sending you good vibes man, and a small note that I'm experiencing similar feelings, the RUclips analytics are set up to make you feel like you're constantly in decline, push you to maximise these numbers that feel like you're competing with every other entertainment channel out there. It's a lot of existential dread and feeling 'unsafe' as you describe it (very good description IMO) when your livelihood depends on it.

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  5 дней назад +1

      Thanks Oscar, yeah to be honest I got off of analytics since a while now as it was driving me crazy and making me overthink the whole stuff…That’s why I didn’t really care number going down for a while as for me this numbers were already crazy high for me so didn’t mind to get less views. It’s more the continuous going down things which is scary but as soon as it stabilise will be good… because even without talking money wise, when you put so much effort into something, to see it die slowly is scary, but I have hope it will stabilise and it feel safer… thanks for your input anyway , I really appreciated it ! Cheers

    Hey Paul! I’ve been studying content creation a lot lately as I plan on diving into creating content myself and one thing I noticed is that people connect easier with more personal content.
    For example, this video has just over 600 views at the time of writing this but already has over 100 comments compared to your last video that has over 4000 views but only 15 comments. People can relate to this video more because it’s more personal than what you usually post.
    Another thing to keep in mind is that since you mostly make tutorial videos, people are only going to watch when they need to watch it. For example, I’m currently taking a bit of a break from producing music so I don’t feel the need to watch any music production tutorials at this time - whereas as soon as I seen the title of this video, I clicked and watched it because just from the title alone, it right away felt like something I could personally relate to.
    So maybe try to sprinkle in some more content like this! It doesn’t have to be entertaining, just relatable. Maybe tell some stories about how you got into content creation as a music producer, or stories about some of your big moments as a music producer or what it was like to work with any big name artists if you have worked with any.
    There’s so many ways to make content still related to music that isn’t strictly tutorials. Hope you find your way and thanks for all the hard work you’ve put in over the years!

    • @audioreakt
      @audioreakt  8 дней назад +1

      first thank a lot for your input, it's very valuable and resonate with me a lot.
      lately I've been watching a lot of vlog (I used to don't like vlog), not the usual vlog, but chill people doing vlog in a cinemtic way and based a lot on story telling and I lenjoy them a lot strangely and i learn a lot of interesting things, I've been thinking a lot about how to do similar things with my channel but haven't found a way yet, I have some video sketch essays here and there but nothing concrete yet.. but def something i am looking into...
      And making things more personal is a good idea, I already thought about doing vlog couple year ago but it is something way harder than it look, it is hard to bring your personal touch, especially when you do tutorial...
      anyway thanks again, i am pretty sure you will succeed in your content creator journey as you seems to understand how it works, I just followed you so I can watch you grow too haha.
      cheers,

    Hey man, been watching your channel a long time throught my 4 years deep into this music and just wanted to say thank you, genuinely. Nowadays I don't watch tutorials and whatever much but sometimes still pop into a new video of yours because it feels like coming back to a friends place to jam y'know. It is always a pleasure to see you working since it's all very real and it shows that you're not making stuff up for views etc. So godspeed in whatever way you decide to take the channel in, take care of yourself first always, no amount of social media relevance can replace your health and family.

    Hey Paul, thanks for posting this! Been going through similar thoughts lately with content creation and have to admit that staying true to yourself despite the decline in views is quite a challenge ( but always worth it). RUclips tends to make us creators go down this route of "hype, trend following, audience retention" etc. etc. Yeah it might give us some results for some time but it never really lasts long in my experience because doing something we don't feel aligned with is simply energy draining. Taking a break and focusing on the music, trying out different workflows is what helped me best. With this approach the ideas for RUclips actually started to flow again. If it's something you're questioning: How about trying a mixture of both long form and short form content? Whatever choice you make, you have my support. Thank you for being authentic!

    • @audioreakt

      thanks mate, yeah I have been through this type of phase but never really express myself because then things was going better eventually but lately it has been very scary and you start to doubt a lot about yourself, probably there is no need but still it is like that... Yeah I took end of august/begining of september to brainstorm and came to a similar conclusion, trying to balance things, do both type of content...thanks for your support anyway !

    If you keep on making the hardgroove and industrial tutorials from scratch, you will 100% get the viewers back up. These are the videos that got me into your channel and are also the videos that I absolutely enjoy the most from you.
    The view count on these videos also prove my point: these are your highest viewed videos. Hardgroove and Industrial is what is popular right now and what people like to learn a lot about!
    I learn so much from them and they are really nice put togheter and informative. Best on RUclips by far. Please don’t stop brother, you changing life’s of others for giving them a chance to become something. You are the best man!

      I know what is working and what is not but if you go that road, you enter in a dark spiral where you just make content that work and you will become crazy... I know for exemple bass tutorial works, low end mixing are great too, some topic are more popular than other but if you really care about teaching and make sure people get to learn the whole things, you gonna have to talk about topic that are less popular... I get you point don't worry, but if I feel I cannot bring nothing new I don't do a video about it and honestly in hardgroove and industrial techno it is hard to find things that haven't been said before...hence why I do less often... maybe i am overthinking and should do more anyway it is possible too, I will try and see haha. thanks for the input anyway !

      @@audioreakt You could look at it from the same way you started making music. Do what you love not what you think people want. You are still teaching people, and if that is your goal, you are succeeding. I notice every time there is a trend/algorithm shift, yeah numbers go down and you might have to rebuild to some extent. But at least you will have the audience that likes your content for what it is. Don't become a slave to the algorithm, it's quite clear that creators that do that end up with a negative mental state.

I go back to certain videos to redo the sound design techniques that you show us, and I am always launched into a great sound design moment. I did not realize the amount of time that it took to make your videos, but now that I know, I am humbled and grateful. I purchased one of your Techno Kick packs and have made some of my best techno tracks ever in using your kicks and rumbles. I would continue doing what you love and feels right for you. But honestly I would look at it from a more optimistic point of view; as far as is I’m concerned the Techno scene is growing with it’s many sub-genres and in the future there will be many more people that want to create this beautiful form of music.
    Just like me and many others that dream of making music that resonates with others; we need a teacher! And you are an captain of the industry because you bring a gigantic value to the current and upcoming scene with having such an wide array of Techno sub-genre specific teaching material to choice from.

I recently deleted my youtube history and you where back in my feed. Yotube nade ne forget about you, because RUclips has made it more important to turn on notifications, because the algo does no longer give you every video that your favourite creators upload and if you mis one or two, your favourite creators will no longer show on your feed.

      yeah but i found easy to just blame the algo itself...especially you cannot do nothing about the algo, where maybe adapting yourself a bit to the situation, questioning yourself on how to do things, how to involve can maybe change things, even if it doens't work at least you will improve yourself anyway...

    I think in this day and age, this style of content is everywhere and it is hard to stand out. I think you definitely do (Heck even Tom Hades talks about you in one of his masterclasses, in case you didn't know!), and your presets and sample packs stand out in a saturated market where it seems everyone is doing a sample pack or preset pack these days (which, to me, at this point is becoming a bit of a meme)....
