I wish I didn't give up on learning Korean 3 years ago oof :/ I picked it up again during quaratine and oh boy am I in love with this language! Please don't give up, it gets better with time
It's a lot at once, right?? If I may, I suggest looking at this sentence as if it were an ornate, multi-layered necklace...(or whatever object interests you 😂). And as you look at it, you can examine each part of the necklace at your own pace. Please don't feel pressure, only a sense of wonder. You can more closely examine one or just a few parts of the necklace at a time. Eventually, you may feel you understand how the *whole* necklace was made, and how each part fits together. And THEN, still with no pressure, you might decide to try and make your own variety of this necklace -- with small adjustments. Like this analogy, over time, you can start to build your own Korean sentences. Just remember not to feel pressure. No one is watching and judging you. This can be like your own, personal project: one that brings you a sense of wonder and curiosity.
I hope this makes sense! I hope you have fun exploring! 💗💗💗
I like the idea of combining many points into one easily-memorized sentence, but this was very easy. I'd love to see some more challenging ones in the future!

People who are here for the first time and don't understand anything: don't give up! Go and study a bit more and later come back to this video to see of you understand more. Keep doing that until you understand everything and then use it to help you with your studies. I watched this 4 months ago and didn't understand a thing and now when I watched it again I understand everything, so don't feel disappointed that you don't understand it now. You can't understand everything at once, take it easy and progress gradually, don't plunge in the deep end from the beginning because I will overwhelm you. Good luck studying!!!
Despite the fact that I did understand, I am still thankful people that are like you exist. *THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION*
I was able to understand the whole sentence without looking at the translation, finally ㅠㅠ if you're a beginner, don't give up! it may seem incredibly difficult at first, but the more you get used to the language, the more comfortable you're going to feel! 힘내세요 💜
Can I ask how you have been practising? Are you self taught, or taking classes?
True! I saw this video a month ago and was very intimidated, but now coming back it's not scary at all! I've been using the Refold method from Matt vs Japan.
This is so encouraging for me, a Korean Language student!
Its not difficult we just need to panic first its process of learning koreon
Thank you so much for the encouragement
I LOVE the breakdowns like this, re-solidifying points I kind of know when reading but also am unsure of when forming my own sentence and also my tongue has to get used to making the sounds so practicing sentences helps. Omg the drama moment, I love it. Poor Yeji.
When i create new phrases i usually use a translator where i put my sentences and see if it means smthg or not. For korean u better use Papago. It is the best for that.
@@kunokoaeri3505 I do use Papago a lot to check. I think of something in Korean and try to write what I am thinking first then see if the translation back into English is similar to what I meant to say! Papago is miles better than Google translate with more complex sentences.
Omg, I couldn't have said it better hahaha
@@shinytomoon YESS! Papago is so good for grammar, honorifics, and just writing and reading in general! ANDD SLANG AND how people talk nowadays!

I just realised I mis-spelt our fav language talent’s name, although I have listened up to TTMIK level 7. That’s unforgivable 😅 죄송합니다... 현우 씨.
My brain is about to retire. I’ve been loosely self studying Korean for about 2-3 years and have recently (with the help of TTMIK) been studying with a more defined schedule and putting more into each time I take to learn korean. This simple video literally sums up years of questions and confusions I’ve had in the past and even now. Thank you TTMIK once again for you effort, it really does help people internationally like myself who are trying to learn more about the beautiful language of South Korea. 감사합니다 🙇🏽♀️ and 사랑합니다 🙆🏽♀️
I've been studying korean for about 2 months and a half and I feel like I'm doing pretty well, actually. At the moment I'm able to make relatively decent sentences and read much more things than when I was starting :D I also recently installed the korean keyboard for windows in my computer and I'm learning the correct position of 한글 characters on the keyboard keys :)
when Korean is actually under the same language family tree with your mother tongue, which should make the learning process easier, but ironically becomes much harder as you’re used to thinking in English rather than your native language so everything just becomes more confusing than it should be🤯
The Altaic language theory has been disproven. Turkish and Korean have some similarities but they are largely coincidental, and are not in the same language family.
@@alpaktuna I didn't know that but will definitely look into it. Thank you!!
I'm an intermediate Korean language speaker and find this lesson useful in understanding grammatical structure. There's so much to unpack in this single sentence! It's a good exercise to take ample time understanding each explanation given in this lesson. Let's be patient with ourselves as we learn. Much respect to those learning a new language! :D
I covered the English translation when the sentence came up, and I was SO PROUD of myself when I understood the whole thing. And to be honest even 11/12 grammar points I got! Wowowow stuff like this really shows me how much I know.
Good for you Marlena. How many languages do you enjoy ?

Awesome video! I’ve been learning Korean for about a year and this was super informative. I liked how it packed so much into such little time and gave us a way to remember it. It was also interesting seeing so many points combined because it can be confusing combining grammar points learned separately as a native english speaker. Thank you for all of the lessons!

★How to learn Korean fast!★
1. Listen to the pronunciation of Koreans and read the sentences aloud several times.
(It's better to read quickly.)
2. Read the 100 Korean words a day. Don't try to memorize them. Just read along. Just refer to the examples. It's important to do 100 each a day.
3. After watching your favorite Korean video (drama), don't look at the screen and just listen to the sound several times.
4. After studying Korean on RUclips, write comments in Korean. (You have to talk a lot in Korean to improve your Korean language quickly. ^^)
*Ask me whenever you need Korean practice!!😀
Thanks ^^✨

How to learn Korean fast? By trying NOT to learn. By trying to soak it up by osmosis through throwing yourself in the Korean culture. I speak 24 languages and never learned them in classes, no books, no notes just exposing myself to the languag and culture. To learn Korean I fell in love with Kpop T-ara group in partcular The erotic drive is the most powerful drive to learn the cutlure. You start to love the K pop girls Korean gets absorbed without having to learn so How to learn Korean (or any other language) fast ? Try NOT to learn it just watch the videoclips in that language or better yet TV. The biggest mistake is to TRY to learn a language. There are talks here on how to assimilate or acquire languages instead of learning. Watching a single videoclip like this gives an illusion of learning but a couple of days later there is near zero retention. The trick is to give it 4-5 year time just as the learning of the native language. Korean is my 24th language and I am stopping here. No time to fit in any more in the week. I might be blamed for being cocky but I am a neuroscientist with neurolingustic studies. so I can say that my style is the BEST but it wont work for passing exams etc.
