    My go to saw everytime and I have several.Light and more power than I need most times.Mine does crank a bit hard though when it is very hot outside,but all saws will vapor lock a bit in extreme heat.

    Awesome saw!! It is the best saw I have ever had. Easy to start 3 to 5 pulls max, tons of power and super light weight. I would like to try a 550xp mark 2 but the 545 mark 2 is an excellent saw.

    Good saw, I guess this model was a way for husky to sell a pro saw through the big box stores. It’s basically a 550xp with a few changes to the looks.

      545 and 550s are pretty different. Different port timing numbers on 550mk2. The 545 DOESNT have crank stuffers The 550s do
      545s have a limited coil. 550s do not

    You got a good saw, i just don’t know why husky makes a 545 when they already have a 550 for a little more money you get a little more power, I guess they try to nickel and dime you to get the more expensive saw. My suggestion to anybody out there is go with the 550mark2 the first time, i do like the looks of the 545 better.

    I'm considering the 545 or 550. I need a more powerful saw than my little Stihl 170 that I've been using for years. Thanks to the wet weather and storms a lot of bigger trees have come down lately and the 170 just isn't big enough. I love Stihl, and around where I live you can't swing a stick without hitting a Stihl dealer, but I've read so much good stuff about the Husqvarna I'd like to give one a try. Fortunately there's a Husqvarna dealer about 30 miles from where I live so that's not too far away if I need warranty service.

    • @shanesmaineshop
      @shanesmaineshop  Год назад +1

      I’ve heard a lot of good about both Stihl and Husqvarna but I will say I prefer the Husqvarna problem because that’s what I’ve had for so long. Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment I’m sure you will enjoy either one of those that you mentioned as far as the size I should do the trick just fine.

      @@shanesmaineshop The only way you could have improved, is to go with the 550 XP Mark ii, which is your saw with same motor, but ‘souped up’ a bit, to produce about a 1/4 HP More. After that, you’re going UP ^^^ in Price! Put an 18 or even a 16 inch bar, with a good chain, and you'll think its a different saw! Peace

      @@georgedavall9449 I am gonna most likely take your advice and drop the bar size down a bit I feel that it is not as powerful as it should be for this bar size, however it has been an excellent saw and it starts every single time which is fantastic. But he was right, and I failed to mention in my original comment the fact the 460 mainly has cc’s going for it, when the 545/550 are more powerful. Do yourself a favor, get an 18, or even a 16 inch bar, and that 545 will run rings around just about anything!
