I'm so happy to find this content. You're talent is invaluable and your art is healing the world. You make me want to work hard at my own playing in the hope that one day I can channel some of this same energy and inspire others the way you've inspired me
Really moved after reading your words, it makes me feel so good to be able to inspire other people… Continué working with passion and you’ll achieve anything you want… All the best!
@@christiandehugo It's beyond deserved! Thanks for the encouragement really appreciate it. I truly believe what you say. Can you offer any advice as to what I should dedicate my time towards practicing on bongos to improve my soloing style for electronic genres (techno etc) similar to your other video in the warehouse? I really want to be able to accent my roles better and find some good rhythms to work with as a basis
@@danielkamdem897 I would tell you that there are not really special rhythms to play along techno, but a wide fundamental knowledge of general drum rudiments, paradiddles, cascara patterns, afrocuban rhythms like songo, Mozambique..., 6/8 afro cuban rhythms and many other patterns that can give you a solid vocabulary for improvisation. it's not about playing two or three rhythms and getting stuck, it is to think about patterns, subdivisions, accents, dynamics and then using all these sources to improvise and create your own rhythms at the tempos you want... Hope I haven't been to technical...
@@christiandehugo That's super helpful, thankyou for taking the time to reply!
Sounds incredible!
many thanks Payterman!
The best solo I ever heard Thank you
TheQqryq80 thanks a lot!
Absolutely amazing ! I play djembe as well and still have much to learn, but I'm so inspired by your rhythms and technique. It has helped me improve. Thank you for sharing! 👍🙏

+duffel 86 Indeed, a big warehouse is responsible for that! Cheers!

Awesome job, Christian!
+JeterSwisherFan88 Thanks for your words!!
Like i was right there, so awesome!
+madrid angel Thanks a lot mate!!
I love the Djembe and i love listening to others play ! i have played for about 6 years now but sadly i suffer from a slow left hand . watching people like you makes me feel so warm inside because ive always wanted to have precision and timing like that . also thank you for using a camera with a fast update/frame rate so that we can see every little movement your hands make . i really enjoy this video and I'm putting it in my favourite playlist !
Naythan South Africa thanks a lot Naythan, technique comes from practising, there's nothing you can't achieve with the right exercises. For timing issues, exercises with a click in different parts of the beat are very good, but i guess everyone find their own way...
The location is very special. Much love from Germany!
Love! Thanks!!
Amazing play , rhythms are killer ,even the dead can dance 😉🎵🎵🎵🎸🎸🎸
Online Music Sessions thanks a lot! 😊
AWESOME!!!
WHAAAAAAAT?? That is some sick playing. I judge a player based on how much I feel like dancing when I hear them. Very few players here on YT do that to me, but this guy hooked me starting around 00:40 seconds in. I feel like he really found his groove around 1:10. And the finale at the end... it's like android-level speed and precision. Amazing.
Life Is Better When You Relax thanks a lot for you words, I appreciate it!
great ! i like bass .. ;D
Thanks so much to everyone for your comments, i'm so pleased for the warm welcome this video has received. I promise to make a few teaching videos showing my own personal technique which I developed for the past 20 years.
Nicely done, I'm glad you play what your mind body and heart tells you to play verses some pre determined mubo jumbo.
Thanks Steve!
