  • In todays video I wanted to show you how I generate my reference images for my art!
It's a step by step process, just so I could make it as easier as possible for you to follow up and understand how the process works with AI websites :)
Here you can find links to Midjourney and Nightcafe- both websites that I mentioned in the video:
    Midjourney: www.midjourney...
    Nightcafe: nightcafe.stud...
There are of course, many more AI websites that you can use to generate your own AI reference images so you could use them as your inspiration, but I just thought to show you Midjourney and Nightcafe as I really love the reference images I am getting from these two AI platforms. :)

The type of art that is under existential threat from AI tends to be high-skill, modest-scale, low-materiality, and cliche-imagery. So any "beautiful woman with pouty lips + surrealist element" handmade art has been made obsolete. Artists need to get physical with their materials and strange with their forms to defend against AI encroachment.

I agree that artists need to get physical with their art materials but there is nothing wrong in pulling inspiration from AI and getting some reference photos to make our lives a bit easier. We were getting into issues such as copyrights infrigements, we were forced to follow trends and do everything we could possibly do to be noticed on social media-making us all the same, so if we can make our lives easier- at least to get some reference photos that we want- I don't see the reason why not use it.

@@MimasArtwork Actually, I totally agree. I'm a painter and use AI to generate sources. I don't think that fearing or judging new technology accomplishes anything.
My point is that AI is a great "averager" so for artists to stand out in the upcoming tsunami of perfect-looking AI images, they have to make their imagery comparatively strange lest they disappear in the flood.

How can I downvote a video more than once?

    AI is theft

you have no idea what you are talking about. explain how is that theft? i am willing to bet your explanation will show how you have no idea how generative ai works

@@-Belshazzar- So do you think AI "art" is being trained ethically without being fed artwork from artists without their permission? If it is, then that's fine and I take my comment back

@@TBContent24 there are so many ai models and companies, some indeed did train their models without artists permission, but some didn’t. but i will ask you this, let’s assume i am a human artist, who watched many art pieces by many artists all my life, at a certain age i start my own art career, do you think i as a human is not influenced by the artists i have seen? don’t you think the greatest artists of all time were inspired by and learned from other great artists? many times without their knowledge? how is that different? the ai doesn’t create a copy of the artists it learned from, it is merely “inspired” by (for a lack of a better word) i am not saying that companies who trained their models without the artists consent are ok, but you coming here generalizing AI art as theft is complete bolocks

No, it actually isn't. Don't spread misinformation.

Idiot, all artists are thieves then since they all take inspiration from someone else even in the slightest
