    Using the scale on the end of the rope like that has limitations. if you later need to use an in-line pulley to make use a lot easier, (with a heavier bow) then your measurements are all wrong because the pulley reduces the load at the end of the rope! Also you are at present measuring bow weight and the stretch in the paracord (quite significant). Most folks seem to go for a scale that fits into the train below the string and rides with the bow movement. e.g. bowstring, carabiner, scale, pulley, rope to base pulley and back to you. Hope this helps. :-)

    IMO.
    Beware of the common mistake which is supporting the bow centrally and drawing it centrally.
    In use it is generally supported just below centre and the string pulled from just above centre, this can make a big difference on short bows.
