The JR global mission felt like their concert not a competition. It was powerful and intense. The ending credits was incredibly moving, felt like they were telling a story. Latrice gave a detailed explanation on her Instagram if anyone is curious what they were trying to convey.
The contrast between the two performances is a testament to how versatile they are as dancers and their musicality.
Jam gave 2 totally different performances, they were literally the only ones who nailed exactly what the final mission was about, their stage presence was next level, they showed versatility, they had emotion and a story line and showed exactly why they are the true winners of this show
JR are very in tune with what’s happening on the global stage of dance. Afrobeats and Amapiano are making a huge impact in music and expanding the world of dance. JR is so versatile.
Ruda, I enjoyed your review! I must say I'm glad you liked their performance. However, I think that Korea has a long way to go with expanding its musical and cultural libraries. Some things are not able to be comprehended by Korean society because of how regimented they are. Jam did great this season, but I think the show's structure limited all dancers in a way, and this is what keeps Korean dancers/society from accessing the expansiveness they need to grow. When foreign dancers enter the scene, only a small portion of what's different is able to be processed by Korean society. Dancers like Yoonji and Waxcky and those who have spent time abroad are able to break free of the formulaic dancing that Koreans have grown accustomed to. It's a blind spot many cannot see.
I 100% agree and I see it a lot when watching reactions of jam republic. It’s like they’re first instinct is to point out what they’re not used too and use that as a explanation of why Jam republics choreography is bad or what they call it “foreign”. When really they should just open their minds
@@Ms.tique27 Unfortunately this plays into many things. Everything has a formula and a system and trying something different has to be done in a very A+B=C way. It's the same with their comedy, which is mostly "slapstick", there are changes being made but they are small.
This so much. The funny thing is, it's a lot of hip hop dancing which is fairly free yet the show felt very boxed in its interpretations of hip hop and just a lot of dances. Like critiquing hip hop routines for not having Korean sensibilities was at times even strange.
Agree with your comment 100%! K-pop dance is a throwback from the old Motown line dance structure of the Temptations and other groups back then, but with the modern hiphop style. However, it's very limited in a lot of ways. Yet I was happy to see that Jam Republic gained fans in the Korean audience who could truly appreciate their world style of dance.
For those that don't know about the final mission dance .it's an African song south African amapiano ,song dances too and the moves depicted were a way to connect with the nature or the gods back in the day especially the first part so it's mostly cultural .they brought out every aspect well enough. And it's the hardest to do African moves or dances they can look to be simple until you try them out
가장 새로운걸 많이 했던 팀.
솔직히 더 잘할수도 있었는데 가끔 절제하는 느낌도 들더군요.
그래도 개인적으로는 스우파2에서 가장 제눈을 즐겁게 해준팀임은 변함없는 사실.
커스틴, 라트리스, 엠마, 오드리, 링 이라는 좋은 댄서들도 알게 해줬고.
커스틴은 진짜 어나더 레벨, 라트리스는 왜 부리더 인지 제대로 알게 해줬음.
오드리는 이 팀의 색다른 맛과 같은 존재라고 생각.
일단 이팀은, 정체성인 뉴질랜드의 색깔을 보여주려고 부단 노력 많이 하는게 보였음.
첫 번째 무대는 글로벌 무대 영상 중에 안무 퀄리티가 제일 높았고 모자 인트로 부분에서 시선이 집중되면서 끝났다고 생각해요. 잼리퍼블릭이 내한 무대를 하는 느낌이었어요.
두 번째 무대는 로열패밀리처럼 에너지풀한 무대를 기대한 분들도 있었겠지만,
엔딩 크레딧 미션의 취지에 잘맞게
전통춤을 예술적으로 표현한 부분이어서 의미 자체로 보면 좋았다고 생각합니다.

너무 뭉클한 무대였음..바닥걸레질할때 그동안 닦아온세월을 말하려는듯한... 그동안 영상에서 별로였던 영상이 없었음 제일어린나이의 리더임에도 불구하고 커리어에걸맞는 리더쉽과 자세,언어도 안통하는 먼 나라에 와서 어려운상황에도 잘 헤쳐나가는 모습 정말 멋졌음. 스우파를위해 급하게만들어진 팀이라 생각할수없을정도로 잘 맞음 개인기량이 뛰어난거겠지..😇

와 저도 그렇게 생각 했는데 ㅠㅜ 닦아온 세월 그동안 한것을 말하고 있었고 나는 진짜 잼리가 너무 잘하고 1등해서야한다고 생각해요
모든 댄서들 이 기나긴 세월동안 조용히 한국문화의 새로운 저변 확대를 해오셨는데ᆢ이제야 수면위로 우뚝 오르시게 된거네요. ᆢ 때가 된거지요ᆢ때가 왔으니 방송에서도 다루게 된것이고요! 부디 전세계에 대한민국 K-댄스를 널리 퍼트리시길 바랍니다! 4강에 포함되지 않았지만 ᆢ너무도 훌륭한 팀이 있지요!

엠넷의 결승 무대에서의 점수 방식(문자투표 차등 50점 이면 사실상 100%, 외국 투표 제외)이 공정하지 못한 건 사실이었지만, 한국 투표만으로 2등 했다는 것은 그만큼
잼리라는 팀이 대중들에게도 실력으로 인정받은 거라고 생각하고 정말 잘했다고 생각합니다.👍🏻

80프로나 되는 문자 투표 국내만 가능, 두 달 넘게 투표 시킨 크루곡 투표 20프로 비중, 거기서 이미 잼리의 우승 기대는 내려놓았지만 내 마음 속 일등은 잼리퍼다. 국내 방송인 걸 감안해도 글로벌 스우파2로 홍보한 만큼 해외 투표 막을 거면 국내 문투 50, 글로벌 크루곡 투표 50으로라도 가져가지.. 잼리 인기가 너무 강력해서 이럴 수밖에 없었는지 모르겠지만 그렇다 보니 더더욱 너무 뻔했던 이번 시즌 우승팀. 스우파1, 스맨파 때처럼 시원한 마무리가 아니라 찜찜하고 아쉬운 시즌. 그래도 커스틴을 한국 방송에서 볼 수 있었다는 거, 잼리퍼의 차원이 다른 댄싱 퀄리티, 우리 나라와는 또 다른 형식의 안무 구성 등을 볼 수 있어서 너무 좋았다. 다만 조금 아쉬웠던 것은 로팸에서 많이 봐온 커스틴의 힙합 베이스 댄싱을 보지 못 한 거..!
the thing is royal family is full lot of talented members and each members has there different test and flavour . i think kristen and the 4 members equal jam republic want to sucess and make people feel that in the in a group every single have own different type of talentes . kristen and other 4 members want to show what they got other then hip hop . bc in smoke challenge and kpop mission she already prove that she knows lot of verity of dance

그동안 첫화부터 지켜본 사람으로써 처음에는 잼 팀에 대한 신선함과 인성이 좋은 부분 때문에 칭찬이 많았는데
사람마다 호불호가 갈려서 그럴 수는 있겠지만,
k-pop 미션 이후로부터는 일부 사람들이 한국 팀에 비해 구성도 단순하고 엉덩이만 흔드는데 사대주의여서 올려 치기 해주고 노력도 안한다는 안 좋은 댓글도 많이 봤는데
볼 때마다 마음이 정말 안 좋았어요.
장시간 동안 비행기 타고 한국과 본국을 왔다 갔다 하며 언어 소통도 잘 안되는 이곳에서 매 미션마다 최선을 다해 임해주고,
매 무대마다 새로움과 놀라움을 선물해주는 팀인 것 같아요.
이 방송을 위해 급작스레 만들어진 팀이지만, 앞으로도 계속 볼 수 있었으면 좋겠어요. :)
It was revealed that because of the travel element, many of their missions were put together in very short periods of time compared to the other crews. For the final missions, the other crews had 2-3 weeks to put the global artist and ending credit performances together. Jam Republic were forced to put those two performances together in 2 days.
이거를 얘네는 13시간만에 해냅니다. (사실은 이무대 말고 Move!와 계급미션 무대를 스페셜로 한번 더 했어야 해서 다시 안무 배우고… 결국 얘네는 13시간만에 본인들 파이널무대 2개 (비욘세,젤레) + 계급 스페셜 + Move! 4개를 해낸거에요) 대단하죠 저 퀄리티로 1등도 가능했던 퀄리티인데 저걸 또 13시간만에 한거니… 사실 잼리퍼블릭은 넘사벽이라고 봐야죠.
와 정말 루다님 설명에 고개만 끄덕 끄덕 했네요. 정말 춤알못 시청자들에게 너무 잘 설명해주셔서 감사드립니다.
글로벌아티스트미션은 정규미션 아닌게 너무 아쉬웠던 무대.. 진짜 조명, 각도, 컷편집 제대로 각 잡아서 찍었으면 역대급영상 나왔을것같은데

아니 과정내내 심사위원이 탈락,합격 해놓고 갑자기 파이널은 인기투표??? 이건 문제가 있음. 주변에 다 잼리퍼블릭이 우승이라는데.. 심지어 파이널무대점수도 1등인데 인기투표에서 밀렸네ㅎ 프듀처럼 아예 인기투표로 진행햇으면 이해하겟는데 심사방식이 일정하지 않은건 바보같은거임. 모의고사는 정답개수로 순위매기다가 갑자기 수능에선 빨리 푼 순서대로 순위매기는 꼴임. 춤에 대해 잘 아는 심사위원에 의해 당락이 결정되는 경우엔 춤의 디테일이나 정확성 등이 더 중요시되는데 대중인기는 또 다른 전략이 더 중요함.. 여튼!!! 베베도 자격은 있습니다만 잼이 더 잘했다봅니담. 바다좋아하는 여자애들투표수에 우승이 결정된게 좀 그럼
That is also what we think, here in the Philippines, when it comes of contest from dance to singing, the most basic scoring board is Judge scoring much high percentage than the audience or texting vote percentage, because Judges priority the talent of those who perform, the techniques, skills, executetion formation etc, because giving the 1st winner is not a joke because there is alot of opportunity after the show, and audience/viewer vote is 2nd because we standoff too base on the performance showcase, we know whoes more appropriate base to the judges commenting on their skills and performance. So basically Judge percentage scoring is higher here to evaluate a performance skills in any contest. I just really shocked how korean show evaluate scoring to those performance they always pinpoint more on audience and viewer and the trending app such as tiktok and the judge cant comment much about what technical dance routine or skills that a crew use so people like viewer who are not good on dancing have a idea what they did., ending its always the look, the props, the easy dance routine with same vibe. 🤷♀️🤷♂️ Not the true performance skills and arts.

I love Jam Republic and BEBE and glad they grabbed the top two. I loved that JR represented so many different women of dance. Your title focusing on just Kristen is disappointing. Jam Republic was 5 incredible women that (3) of them received the same phone call requesting their talents. I love Kristen she is amazing, but (4) others helped make them who and what they are.

Ling is a strong center! A lot of people forget that she was side by side with Kirsten in Royal Family and she's an all-rounder. I've yet to see a dance style she hasn't been able to adapt to. It's actually fascinating to me, she brings a natural femininity and softness to choreography but she's clean as hell.
Given that they only have 13 hours to practice the Global Mission and the Ending Credits Mission together, proves that they are naturally good at it.

I can't lie, since I watched all of Jam Republic's performances my standards for watching dances have become high, I've been wanting something different like what they give, and from here I'm sorry to say this but Korean modern dances have become boring for me now😌 especially the dances of idol groups which now only focus more on movements that can be danced for TikTok challenges, Jam Republic really dared to do it and bring something new to this show, I feel like I've learned something new and something refreshing from Jam, I can feel the high quality of a dance from them
I know what you mean, they’re are always outliers but a lot of what I’ve seen out of the industry feels robotic and just doesn’t feel fun to watch.
it's funny when foreigners say they are bored with Korean dance without growing up in Korea lol. you just needed to look in other countries or your own country instead 😂 I think K-dance has a lot to offer and lets not shade the country's dance scene here.

It's crazy how they managed to pull these choreographies off after only 13 hours when the other crews had 2 weeks

That move you are referring to is a South African move called Bacardi not twerking. I see a lot of people confuse moves or dances like Bacardi or whining/wukking up (depends where your from) for twerking
They aren't twerking in the afro dance. They are doing a dance called Bacardi. Yes, their butts move, because they are bouncing their legs, but they are not arching their back and isolating their butt.
That's not a performance it's a concert!

but there's a DIFFERENCE between "twerking" and the part were they slightly shake their butt because what they did was an afro dance - BACARDI to be exact .. but I think most or some people did not know that

Just a correction, it's not twerking. It's bacardi an african dance style and it's the same in the choreography of Water by Tyla.
Just a note, every type of ‘butt movement’ is not twerking. 10:30 these are types of traditional dances found in Africa. Twerking has a more sexual connotation, which these dances do not have. :)

스카프 실수할까봐 걱정한 부분은 오히려 엔딩 크레딧 때였어요. 바닥 닦다가 ‘쏟아지기 전에’ 허리춤에 꽂아야 되는데 역시나 못 꽂는 멤버 없이 다 완벽하게 꽂아넣고 때돼서 또 빼서 사용하더라고요.

뭐랄까 아직까지는 대중들의 댄싱에 대한 이해도와 눈높이가 좀 낮은편이라 그런게 아닐까 싶은.... 물론 그 낮은 눈높이에 저도 포함ㅠ 그나마 이렇게 루다님이나 다른 댄서분들 리뷰 찾아보면서 보면 아!! 그렇구나 하게되지만.... 그냥 티비로 예능으로만 생각하고 보는 사람들 눈에는 높은 레벨의 댄싱과 구성 보다는 그 순간에 딱 눈길을 사로잡는 칼각이나 포인트 하나가 더 중요한것 같아요. 그래서 가면이 포인트가 되었던 베베가 우승을 한느낌.... 그렇다고 그게 잘못이란건 아니고 이건 댄스배틀이기 이전에 방송이고 예능이라 일반대중의 눈을 빼고 갈순 없으니....
