ছোট কাটারা শায়েস্তা খানের আমলে তৈরি ঢাকায় একটি ইমারত। আনুমানিক ১৬৬৩ - ১৬৬৪ সালের দিকে এ ইমারতটির নির্মাণ কাজ শুরু হয় এবং তা ১৬৭১ সালে শেষ হয়েছিল। এটির অবস্থান ছিল বড় কাটারার পূর্বদিকে হাকিম হাবিবুর রহমান লেনে বুড়িগঙ্গা নদীর তীরে।[১] ইমারতটি দেখতে অনেকটা বড় কাটারার মত হলেও এটি আকৃতিতে বড় কাটারার চেয়ে ছোট এবং এ কারণেই হয়তো এর নাম হয়েছিল ছোট কাটারা। তবে ইংরেজ আমলে এতে বেশ কিছু সংযোজন করা হয়েছিল।[২] ১৮১৬ সালে খ্রিস্টান ধর্মপ্রচারক লিওনার্দ এখানে ঢাকার প্রথম ইংরেজি স্কুল খুলেছিলেন।

বর্তমানে ছোট কাটারা বলতে কিছুই বাকি নেই শুধু একটি ভাঙা ইমারত ছাড়া। যা শুধু বিশাল তোরণ মতন সরু গলির উপর দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। চারদিকে অসংখ্য দোকান এমন ভাবে ঘিরে ধরেছে যে দেখে বোঝার উপায় নেই যে এখানে মুঘল আমলের এমন একটি স্থাপত্য ছিল।
