    Great video, examples and explanation! Also, I like your last groove, as definitely every funk bass line should have a fat root note on the one. Until it doesn't and sounds even better without.
    : D
    Seriously, I love bass grooves with no note on the one. But it really depends on the song, of course. There is not rule without lots of exceptions in music or arts, imho.

    Amazing stuff, absolutely love it ! Thanks a lot !!!! Very minor thing -
    4:47 incorrect 3rd note from the end of the bar, B should be corrected to Bflat. You play and say B flat. Also not sure 100%, but it seem that very last rest is not what you play.
    Thanks for sharing such cool tabs!!!!

    • @academyofbass
      @academyofbass 2 года назад

      Thanks Dennis, glad you enjoyed this. I’ve checked the clip and as per the on screen notation and my dialogue, the last two notes are Eb and E natural. You might be able to see it clearly as I don’t move my finger a lot when I play, but I’m rolling my fingers across to the D string to play those notes at the first and second frets (unless of course I completely miss interpreting what you’ve highlighted)👍
