It's almost scary it's been 8 years since she released this in 07 and it feels like just yesterday It's kinda sad that music isn't anywhere near as good as it was back then. Music was still good back then. The sad part is, I can't find that many good ones like The songs we had back in the 90's - mid-2000's Music has really gone down hill.
+Dylan Roberts You know whats really funny.. This music is the same as it is now. Music is still good now. Its just not good to you like it use to. Music hasnt changed. You have/
+TheNonMakeupGuru This sounds like any pop song you hear on the radio in 2015 from tove lo or selena gomez or rihanna, beyonce, most music from 2005+ sound similar
Loseni Kroma There is actually plenty of stuff.. I work in an office so i literally listen to the radio every day.. There are plenty of good music if you actually listen
TheNonMakeupGuru I like this song, i have nothing against pop music, it's simple and catchy and serves its purpose, i don't need a serious song about social commentary all the time, there are many indie artists out there making "deep original." music. People thinking hating pop music makes them smarter, that's pretentious.
If Disney or Hollywood Records would've supported her most now she'd be the new Britney Spears. I mean, she dances awesome, she sings awesome, she's got that sweet/sexy look. She'd be a perfect worldwide star.
Yes and no. I think the industry and record labels actually grew tired of try to replicate the Britney formula. They failed with Jessica Simpson (who has one of the hardest songs to sing) and a few others in the early 2000s. Ashley also wasn’t a main Disney girl, not until HSM. She was on screen for a good 3 years, including HSM1-3 and suite life. Off screen, she did voice acting for Phineas and Ferb. Ashley sort of had luck when it came to how raunchy her music was for also having a Disney image. This was 2007, and she didn’t really receive much backlash in the public eye. Oddly enough Hilary Duff was receiving backlash for her music being “raunchy.” When you compare Ashley with others, she didn’t have the “America’s sweetheart” image that was forced upon her like Britney Spears, Hilary duff, Selena, Miley, etc. So in other words, she could easily get away with it, especially being signed to Warner. I also feel like when you’re under Disney contract at a certain age like 15-17, it’s harder for Disney to have a say in what you do, especially if you’re not their main source of income. But in this case after HSM1 and 2, Ashley is the top 3 main people from HSM. Making her a disney it-girl from the first movie alone. That was 2006. I also think disney wanted to capitalize on Vanessa because she was suppose to be the MAIN girl from HSM. I don’t think they knew what they had when they had Ashley. Ashley could get away with anything really at that point. She kind of snuck behind any public backlash.
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 because she wasn’t a main Disney girl until high school musical. Disney didn’t push her like they would Miley and everyone else. Literally right after high school musical premiered, 6 months later Warner bros nabbed her up. From my understanding, I don’t think Disney gave her the opportunity for a solo singing career. They also wouldn’t push her career like they would others, because she was signed to Warner. Which is what a lot of outlets said at the time. They would promote the shit out of her songs “he said she said” and “good to Me” on Disney channel. They edited the music videos to cater to younger audiences. I found it interesting, because now looking back, they promoted someone who wasn’t even on their record label. It wasn’t heavy promotion or anything. But that’s the only promo they did do for her. I can’t tell why or how unless she struck a deal when doing HSM2 or 3, to promote her music on Disney. But that’s just a theory as to why they would promote someone who wasn’t on their label. But they were also playing her music on radio Disney. I think Disney missed an opportunity. Considering some outlets were comparing Ashley to Hilary duff who was a MAJOR success for Disney music career wise. I think it’s good that she was signed to Warner. Her music has sort of tested time and has aged pretty well. What Disney were putting out for Vanessa Hudgens was……songs like ‘snicker night.’ Only good song they produced for Vanessa was ‘say okay.’
@@Loveisfun123 also the "America's sweetheart" bit, well that is funny, because her character Sharpay was "bitchy", so I guess it wouldn't make sense for her to have a "America's sweetheart" sort of image...
15 years later, and still the best. not only her video dominate the TRL Countdown @ #1 4 times, but also Ashley got some great legs. She's sweet, funny, sexy, and leggy when she dances with her heart & soul. even the Marc Ecko Red shoe commercial with the same song. I love her as either a blonde or brunette, but I love her smile & sense of humor every time.😇🥰😍🤩😘
This song deserves way more credit especially now that all her fans are grown. I’m surprised it hasn’t been a lipsynch song on rupauls drag race. It’s perfect for it
This song just played while my music was on a random, I don’t have it downloaded so I thought it was odd that it came on, not what I currently listen to but it holds up. Listening to it tonight I’m shook at how sexual this song is. Like the heavy breathing is A LOT since this first aired on Disney
im glad she released this higher quality one
OhYeahItsJake same
Yes
If she release this song again, will be a hit!!! Loved that song and still loving it 😱❤️
Sergio Llorca totally agree, still addicted to this song
To be honest Ashley looks amazing in this video, even though this song was released years ago I have had it in my head every now and then.

I used to sing this song when I was like 13. Can't believe the lyrics are this dirty lol
Allison Dixon same haha
There was a Disney censored version which was the one we heard XD
Her songs on mental health are quite exceptional.
This is a timeless bop. 🙇🏽
I remember, when I was little, thinking this was the most dirtiest song on Disney xD

Indeed. While this has no real meaning to it, it had the catchy lyrics, music video and the beat - not many artists can claim for their work nowadays.
