  • How to Crochet a Corner to Corner Dishcloth for Beginners. If you are a beginner, this is the perfect tutorial for you. The Corner to Corner (C2C) Dishcloth is a great project for beginners because it's easy and quick.
    CORNER TO CORNER DISHCLOTH/DISHRAG
    You will need:
    -Scissors
    -Size 5.0 MM Crochet Hook
    -Tapestry Needle
-1 Skein (Painted Desert) of Sugar 'n Cream 100% Cotton Yarn
Row 1: ch 6, dc in 4th chain from hook, dc in next two chains (1st block = 1st row)
    (Rows 1-9 are Increase Rows)
Row 2: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, sl st into ch3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space (2 blocks)
Row 3: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat once from * (3 blocks)
Row 4: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat twice from * (4 blocks)
Row 5: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat thrice from * (5 blocks)
Row 6: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat 4 times from * (6 blocks)
Row 7: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat 5 times from * (7 blocks)
Row 8: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat 6 times from * (8 blocks)
Row 9: ch 6, dc in 3rd chain up, dc in next two chains, *sl st into ch 3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat 7 times from * (9 blocks)
Row 10: ch 1, turn work, sl st into 3 dc just made in previous block, sl st in ch3 space, ch 3, 3 dc into same space, repeat from * across the row (8 blocks)
At this point, you will be decreasing (aka maintaining) on both edges so repeat the instructions for Row 10 at each edge until you've completed your final block.
Once you've completed your final block, sl st your way back to the corner of the dishcloth and place a border of single crochet (sc) stitches around the dishcloth. If you have remaining yarn, add a second row of single crochet stitches, this time only working in the back loops (see video). Slip stitch to join, ch 1, cut your yarn, and fasten off. Weave in tails and enjoy your new C2C dishcloth!

Even though the Atreyu Crochet channel is for beginners, I think it's not only a good idea but necessary to build upon the basics. The great thing about crocheting is that even the most complicated of patterns can still be broken down to the very basics of crocheting.
Don't ever approach a crochet pattern with doubt. Simply break down the pattern and approach it one stitch at a time. If a stitch is foreign to you, then find a RUclips tutorial on it, learn the stitch, and resume with the pattern. Although our starting point is that of a beginner, it is also true that that is not our destination.
    Happy Crocheting! :)

You are a great teacher! I would never be able to figure this out with a pattern. I haven’t seen a corner to corner yet but will check out your other videos. Thanks for the humor too! Love that dishcloth! 🙏

Thank you so much! I just like to explain in ways that I would understand if I were watching. And yes, I can be quite silly sometimes 😂 That’s cool that it showed 🙂 Thanks again, Dawn!
