Not sure what's my favorite. I always played Pokerstars (in Germany) because that's what had the most traffic; then I moved to Belgium and that was the only site that was legal here. Now GG poker is also offering games in Belgium, and I am contemplating whether to move sites. I use a lot of info from my HUD, though, and GG doesn't allow external HUDs, so that's the only threshold I have for moving at the moment.
I think you missed the main reason they lost their monopoly. Once amaya took over they treated the site like a cash cow and increased rake and ran the site into the ground for short term gain.
I’ve just left poker stars this week after years of playing there, grinding microstakes, putting in around 150k a year but so sick of the support staff treating players like shit, had to chase them for not paying out bonus and denying I had qualified when I had all the proof I had, the last straw was literally only over around 6 bucks but it’s became a principal thing. Never look back, I’m off to gg. Good luck all.
Gg poker is dodgy af some of the hands I've seen are 100% cheating. I've also had the slow peel shoe me the wrong card to the board twice. New accounts have god mode. Rake is around 20 tines higher than anywhere else for cash. I have no idea how that platform is no1. Rake is x20
@@maybe-xh8il the rake is not x 20 and are you saying the site is cheating you? I have heard this many times from many players playing on many sites and every one of the players has actually just been a losing player. I opened my account maybe two years ago and mover over full time maybe three weeks ago. Was in profit before I moved over full time and have made more profit since…..so I can’t say I feel cheated in any way by any poker site, had a 10-20 bb win rate on stars before I left playing micros. Is your net deposits positive or negative. Do you play anywhere else? If you feel cheated by any poker site maybe you should consider moving to another poker site…..especially if you think the take is 95% less elsewhere….seems like the logical move to make to me…. Good luck in the future.
i still play on pokerstars, i m starting at 1,2 cent, and still tryin to win consistently, it very hard to avoid bad beats, watching your video is helping, so thanks for that,
I don't play alot but I found out early that I'm not good at cash. I'm a winning player if I only play mtts and I started playing 1 euro now I usually play the 50 euro. Like I say I don't play much but if you are just trying to get started I would play only mtts. annfetamine ipoker, thumbitin ipoker and bradcity4 stars are my sharkscopes if you have access to ipoker I suggest you play there the fields are weaker than gg and the bad beats on gg will drive you insane.
I live in one of the segregated US states and play on Stars. The biggest sit and goes that run regularly are $20, with maybe some $50 that go off occasionally. They only offer 6 max (which I like) because 9 handed games would take forever to fill outside of peak times. There is a small group of winning players (maybe 5-10 including me) in the games, and I very rarely run into an opponent with 0 hands against me. The player pool is very small and reg-heavy. Good thing there are more bad 38/8/2 regs than winning regs. I play there (and not WSOP) mostly because I played on Stars pre-Black Friday and because I can use my HUD.
A year back in India Spartan poker was so big so many player and so many big turnament were happening but now not even 10 people in cash games and tournament are getting cancelled because players are not available
@@LivePokerGuide Someone told me that in india theres a 28% tax on all deposits, and 30% tax on all withdrawals, if true that can't of helped the decline.
Collusion is still a big problem on live games, too. Unless you're playing a tournament where they move players every twenty minutes, you'll always find people signaling to each other at casino cash games, even more in poker rooms.
In Belgium, we have PS and GG...PS is full of regs for cash game but is the only room where trackers are allowed. There is less people so it's better for tournaments too. But in my country, due to the legislation, there are no rakeback, no freerolls, no promotions. That killed a little bit online poker in Belgium. And for live poker, we only have one good casino...2 or 3 tables for cash games, always the same players every night :/ Charlie Carell showed a graph where PS was losing players years after years since 2012. The golden age of online poker was between 2008 and 2013...almost no legislation, rakeback, promotions and poker only. Now, poker rooms think it's great to throw virtual snowballs on the table 🙄 and want to make poker a casino game (spin&go, extra turbo tournaments, Mystery Battle, ...)
Yep nearly same by your east neighbours and yeah they sponsered bullying with such bs Moves you can deactivate that but that you can make that Shows me that they act Like normal "social" aka asocial Networks !!! And yeah rakeback etc. it gives nearly no we're maybe by GG at begin or longer i dont know. I prefer PP. And yeah in my near West Germany Dortmund etc. you can only Play Poker in Casinos vs the Dealer !!! Normaly it means longrun you cant beat/win vs them !!!
Thanks for writing my comment for me and so well. Those glory years were a lot of fun. I liked poker stars for lots of reasons including graphics and just pure poker. Others had the casino nonsense. I lost some of the love when they sped the games up. I liked the pace before but it became bet bet bet fast. I was probably an outlier. I logged in a couple of months back after a gap of a few years and couldn't believe how much it had changed. All the nonsense other betting and throwing stuff. Eh. I wanted to play some mindless 180 - 1 dollar stuff while working but the site was so dead that they no longer can offer it. Oh well the world moves on but boy did I love it. Harrington books etc etc.
In Germany the 1000€ deposit limit is per month. And we can only play up to 1$/2$ blinds. We can´t even see tables higher than 1$/2$. The rake makes the games borderline unwinnable. Imagine paying 5% more rake every single time. That amounts to 5bb/100. German regulations are one of the worst in the world. They have no idea what they are doing.

@LivePokerGuide in Sydney, there are self dealt rake free 1/1 games at bars and "RSL Clubs" that are fun and juicy with consistent player pools. Casino poker has nosedived. Rake and wait times have gone up a lot, and the game no longer runs 24/7.
I share the same opinion. And also far more honest than GGpoker. Doesn't matter how much equity you have, ppl are never draw on the turn. They always find a card to give the oponent more equity on the turn!!
Legislation changes to be fair affect every site not just PS. What happened in Ontario, what has been a major poker hotbed for long time, is that now all online poker games can only be played with other Ontario based players exclusively. So basically we are cut off from 97% of online poker player pool. The effect is the games have dried up to point where the game selections for so many players are cut off. Government, in their quest to tax the games somehow, have outright killed it. When I go to another country and see al the games they can chose to play at any time its frustrating. We dont live in a free society anymore.
Thanks. Yeah that is happening in more and more jurisdictions. But actually I think that your player pool is softer than the international one, even though game selection is much smaller.
Thanks for this. I wanted to make the same point about Ontario. There used to be tons of options, but the tiny player pool has made the site boring. I haven't played in 2 years now.
@@geoffreyedwards3425 exactly. none of my preferred game of choice runs regularly on the Ontario sites. So I just stopped. Regular single and double table sit and goes at my buy-in rate. Nice vid, I play on Stars and one of the tournaments I loved a 3max zoom went from a 30k guarantee in 2018 to a 4k guarantee as of today. It's crazy because that tournament used to hit 40k some days, now if it gets 8k you think "wow a lot of players today!" Lmao
I remember playing back in the day and I poker had two daily 20k mitts for $15 and below kicking off before noon uk time, ps had a daily 50k $1, massive guaretees everywhere
Anyone exp. on PS getting virtually the same hand on 2 different tables simultaneously? I’ll play and get 86o in 2 games together with different suits, or an Ace with a mid kicker, a red king and a black 8… i have so many examples it’s scary.
I just think online poker is losing its appeal in general. If you have access to GG, then play there. Otherwise, PS might still be the best option. But I wouldn't really play cash games online anywhere because the games are just becoming tougher and tougher.
@@MajorCanada Just constant action, RNG is like no other, join GG poker and play for a week and you’ll probably see a royal flush on a table you’re on. I played first for a while on here this month, won over 20bi at 25nl in a few k hands, but trust it can easily go the other way on here, site feels like it does everything to generate action to get us raking
@MajorCanada bad for who is starting and good for some pro poker players who can afford and deal with big variances as when they win, the prizes are incredible. However, GG has "house bots" playing between the players to fight supposed bots created by players. The bad thing about that is that we are not able to know if these bots are taking money from real ppl and giving it to gg
Only just come back to try Pokerstars and now Struggle to get players even in sit and go. The biggest problem I have with them however is how much they take when they Convert usd to gbp. It's Shocking
I have never had the worst run that in the last week. I used to be able to make 50 dollars last months playing zoom, building it up taking a shot at higher levels. Then this time i busted 120 dollars in about 2 days playing 5c zoom. Ive final tabled live tournaments. Not sure if its just too hard now.

@@chefmikeankh6434 They don't unless they scan running processes on your system. But there is stuff they can do in advance to make it much harder for RTA software. Things like how they design the hand history mechanism for example or what gets printed in the chat. There is probably more that you could do when designing your software with prevention of RTA in mind.
I switched to play just live (2/5 and 5/10) 4 years ago. Before I was playing live and online. Reasons were: cheating (in various forms, from RTA to collusion as you said) and too thought opposition, at least at the stakes I played online (from 1/2 to 5/10). Both (RTA and collusion) are not just suppositions, but they were proved more than one time. Live for sure opposition is softer (also a lot of recs stopped playing online and went live) but cheating is present, and a lot more than what you think. And I am speaking about casinos, non private games.
In my casino cards were found marked 2 times. Also collusion is present for sure, even if not often. The main problem with playing just live, in my opinion, is finding a game high enough to make an income and near enough at where you live. It's really difficult. I don't know in how many locations you find at least a 2/5 game running every day (and not full of pro). You can go to live in Vegas, Macao, or something like that, but it's not so easy to have a family and do that.
Thanks! Interesting about the cheating. I personally have never encountered that (maybe I'm just too dumb to notice it though lol). And you are totally right about the issue of finding big enough games. As I've said before, I even struggle with that in London. During the daytime, there is only one 2/5 game and that one is full of pros. Rozvadov has 2/4 games running regularly, but it's not exactly a convenient location for most. And then there are a handful of other locations worldwide, where you can play 2/5 in the evening (apart from Vegas and Macau obviously).
@@LivePokerGuide Marked cards were founded from the casino staff and the players that marked the cards were banned. Could you suggest some locations where is possible to play 2/5-+ games everyday (besides Macao/Vegas)? Even during the evening would be ok.
@@criostasi I'll answer that in more detail in my Ask Me Anything live stream on 15th July, but in short: Wiesbaden (2/4), Rozvadov, (2/4) Philadelphia (Parx), Los Angeles, London. Wiesbaden and Philadelphia would be my top choices out of these. Florida might also have 2/5 running all the time, but not sure. Those games tend to be very soft.
Honestly, if I lived in Florida, I would not play on any site. Instead I would it those live cardrooms hard. You have the best live games on the planet, apart from maybe Texas, so make the most of that! If you do want to play online, then you'll have to check your options. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with what sites are allowed in Florida, but I believe that it's only ACR and Bovada as well as some clubs.
Interested to review what Amaya generated through Pokerstars close after purchase to that just before. $4.9 billion recoup effort possibly. Regarding Germany, taxes should be the players responsibility, not a added cost incurred by the player pool, with profit-loss statements for German players sent by Amaya to the German government after every fiscal year.
Played live cash and tournaments for about 15years, long ago, along with Full Tilt (remember them?) and PS too. Got scammed for around $4100, once the feds stepped in. Continued to play live for awhile. Now I just do the freeroll sit n goes on PS. Its still goofy fun and great practice.
We are ring fenced in ON canada. I started strong with Party because they had so much overlay on their satties, but that has died off and the game selection is crap. So i moved to Stars for their decent selection of Sunday games, but they recently changed the lineup of MTTs and it is not what it uses to be. In the last 6 months I have been enjoying GG/WSOP and I'm thinking of moving most of my bankroll there.
That's interesting. I actually have an account with Winamax, but I can't play there because they are not licensed in the UK, so this is interesting to know.
@@Natureboy31681 What's not clear? I say winamax software is much better, but the zoom format is only populated by ultra tight regs, and we also see miracle rivers.
Pokerstars kicks out their own players. The micro stack players are so screwed - that they have nowhere to play anymore (even if they want to). In SnG, you are now limited to playing exactly 1-2 tournaments, and some nice satellites from $0.05 to $0.20 - from where you can enter a $2.20 or even a $3.30 tournament are no longer there. There are also no free tournaments like $50 or $100 gtd. From the free satellites it is impossible to break through, and the rake is already totally cut. I remember there were several thousand people every night playing some free tournaments/satellites and even SnGs from 0.01 to 0.25 - now they have removed all of those. But I don't agree that in a game where making money should be the priority - you should expect people having fun. Even in the lower divisions of the football championships - the fun is kept to a minimum. The less rec players, it means you have to put in more effort and boost. Don't just expect weak players... It won't make you successful/rich/very good. In life you have to accept circumstances as they are, and as Napoleon said, "Circumstances? So much the worse for them, not for me." (or something like that) P.S. From the $0.55 and $1.10 tournaments, you have exactly 2-3 quality tournaments for the whole day. Not to mention that already fund has been reduced drastically compared to the past. There were tournaments with $2000/3000gtd each, only for $1.10 entry. Now there is a maximum of $1000gtd and most are up to $500gtd. How are you expected to make money and keep the players?
Imagine being a french regular player of 5€ spin&go flash, being capped to 25% rakeback due to some legislations in France, and playing a field full of spanish regulars players, having a maximum of 65% rakeback... I'm going to change rooms soon.
I still grind pokerstars (international site), I multi table micro tournaments at the moment. The player pools are still ok, but sucks losing players through country legislation changes, hopefully my country doesn't change
I always played on PS. Almost daily. Not a winning player but I had fun playing low stakes mtt's and won occasionally to keep it fun. But the Netherlands shut down PS in my country and I was forced to play on GG. I won more money there because the level of play was significantly lower to such a degree that even I turned into a slightly winning player. But after the recent reports of online bots, rta's and colluding I stopped playing online all together. I miss it, but with that knowledge I don't think I could ever trust any site because they all seem unable to stop bot usage and colluding.
Started on Poker Stars playing the free games. Then I did a heck of a lot of reading educating myself and trying to improve my poker skills. The intent was just to become a better recreational player. I played cash games and then got into tourneys, and finally 9 player Sit'N'Gos SNGs. I won a lot of those becoming a SNG specialist. But the competition became difficult and the pool of players reduced. It was no longer any fun. I think I left some money in my account but haven't bothered to check. Just don't care. GG poker sounds like Party Poker in the early days. Might give it a look.
Poker scene in general is dog shit rn. Succesful pros are getting in the best private games. Sweaty online grind is tough, pool is tougher than ever. Solvers easily accesible and free youtube analytics. Most countries have tightened the screws on their legislatio, making it more difficult as discussed in the video. The economy in general is in the shitter with busted inflation, cash rates, cpi goods and cost of housing expensive a f. Peoples businesses are busting. Not much spare cash around to feed the poker economy
Thanks, yes you are right with a lot of what you're saying. The screws for online poker have bee tightened for years. And still, live poker is doing amazingly well, just look at participant numbers at the WSOP. Still lots of money up for grabs at the live felt.
Many years ago I became a victim of collision on poker stars. I am only a small stakes player. Reported them. Poker stars agreed gave me my win but they didn't ban them. I queried and they said better to educate them in the wrongness of their ways. I suppose they could have just reregistered anyway and very easily especially back then. But I realised then that online higher stakes poker unless head to head was a dangerous world. Keep it low and play for fun and accept the cheating. I only played tourneys btw.
Interesting video , Coincidentally I play recreationall in low buy in Multi's and Sit n Go's. Last month I withdrew my roll from GG Poker and returned to PS. The Graphics on GG are so bad. Setting up on stars , removing all avators and having a clean table theme is so much better .
Don't know who to trust anymore. Used to play on line poker for real money all the time. Then when the USA banned it for most Americans, I started going to local live poker rooms but found a lot of shady play. I think the dealers were in on cheating people and I think there were a lot of locals who were teaming up against out of town people. I stopped playing poker for money. No trust in anyone.
It’s always the fish who don’t trust the environments. Online poker is as safe as it gets, there’s countless of us making a good living there. But people who lose end up making up excuses for it instead of improving their game.
I do still miss playing poker after all these years of not playing. Got myself banned for calling the game a rig and asked them to delete my account. Online poker is designed for multi - tabling. I find you don't do so well playing on 1 table if you get what I'm trying to say.

Besides other poker providers Pokerstars feels like home. I dont know why. The table and design structures are so comfy.. rakes etc are on a other side.. hope they will get better for cash gamers
all gambling is rigged to some extent, and the easier it is to rig a system, the more rigged it will be. besides the online rigging, casinos rig their games too.

PokerStars died especially when the rakeback program changed. And when American players and russians were banned from the site the traffic crashed massively. And for us germans, who have to pay 5,3% taxes from our winnings, only allowed to play 4 tables max simutaniously and not allowed getting any rakeback its not profitable at all anymore. Those are the main reasons summed up.

Black Friday killed it. There were more ten million people online at once ten years ago. After Black Friday something changed and all of a sudden you couldn’t make money anymore. I’d sit down for a session and be up and then I’d lose it all and end up exactly where I was down to the cent and this happened over and over. There was an influx of Eastern Europe players who would play like total morons and somehow hit their Miracle every time as they’d hacked the software. Thing is I never lost my bankroll, it just kept getting cut back down to a certain amount with coolers. It’s a shame because it was awesome in it’s day. I can’t even log onto it because I don’t have I.d. And my old account apparently doesn’t exist.
Yeah that's true, black Friday was a big blow for poker. But even though it's not the same as back then, live poker is actually really striving in most parts of the world.

Apparently they want to take more of an active role in the US market. If they can get Pennsylvania on board with New Jersey and Michigan, it'd be a pretty strong player pool in the U.S. As for Pokerstars, I'd play if I lived in one of the states where it's legal. Of course, it's not the same as it once was, but it'd be regulated and above board. As it is, I play on ACR. I play $.01/.02 and have no real intention of withdrawing my money. It's too small of an amount, and I just use it to sharpen my player reading abilities, since GTO means absolutely nothing at these stakes.
To me it appears that the elites wanted PS to be out of the game, it’s in the name. WSOP, DNeg… such a takeover doesn’t simply happen out of fair competition in today’s world. The question would only become: *Why* did they want it to happen?

I'd rather play an aggressive Reg who's willing to bet it all somtimes without the nuts, as sopose to beating a nit with thin value so annoying AF.
Thanks man, appreciated! I've been following your channel for a while as well. I really liked the vid about polarization mistakes, one of my favourite topics ;-) Re collab, yeah sure, I'm always open for a collab as long as we can come up with something good. What were you thinking?
I am also getting disappointed by pokerstars. I feel better and safer on smaller rooms, i think that big rooms attract the cheaters and software users.... Poker got to stay a game and not a job, for the majority of the players.
I haven't played on there for many years. It does seem ok from what I see though. Maybe worth checking out. Easty222 is the expert on that as he is sponsored by them and plays there on his streams. He might be the best to ask (or just watch his streams to see what the level is like).
I play on PokerStars, Unibet and Svenska Spel. Mostly on PokerStars. But I don't play to win, I play online to get practice and kill some time sometimes. Then when I play live, I'm usually much better than everyone else at the table. I can beat up to $0.05/$0.10 Texas and PLO on PokerStars. PokerStars is tougher than Unibet and SvenskaSpel, because there are so many grinders, cheaters and bots on PokerStars.
Thanks, that's great! I do the same. I think that Pokerstars is great for training purposes, but I would not play cash games there to win money. Live poker is the way to go. That's why this channel is mainly about live poker.
What are you talking about? Come to NL50 NL100 full ring and u will see recreational players and maniac. And by the way after your video even those who left will go to GG
GGpoker doesnt want to introduce mixed games. In the day they do, PS will be totally dead..Black friday and the exclusion fo the russians was what killed the most the site. Also low stakes MTT rake in PS is much higher than in GG.
I left GG Poker because of the stupid features like all the taunting with emoticons and the card peel. I always theorized the reason why they have the card peel is to delay my milliseconds the servers ability to decide if you are going to dig into your wallet again for another deposit. It just seemed like the shortstack would always get punted with a bad beat. They know you are going to rebuy or you are going to play another one right after this one. I also always thought that sure...these sights have "random number generators" that make them "provably fair". So why are they located on the same island where billionaires have "offshore bank accounts" that are shielded from tax collectors. Hmmm. Random...but I am guessing that there is a bit of fudging the "randomness"...otherwise how could they possibly make the billions they do. Surely not buy "luck".
Also, I believe today AI software is working live during sessions. There very easy to create software with tracking live hands and show best decision and I believe it already exist.
What’s your favourite poker site? Let me know!
GG poker of course
I live in FL, USA, can't play on these sites but play on global poker n it's soft AF
I miss playing 72 tournaments
What do you think of PartyPoker?
Not sure what's my favorite. I always played Pokerstars (in Germany) because that's what had the most traffic; then I moved to Belgium and that was the only site that was legal here. Now GG poker is also offering games in Belgium, and I am contemplating whether to move sites. I use a lot of info from my HUD, though, and GG doesn't allow external HUDs, so that's the only threshold I have for moving at the moment.
I think you missed the main reason they lost their monopoly. Once amaya took over they treated the site like a cash cow and increased rake and ran the site into the ground for short term gain.
Thanks! Yeah that is also true. I didn't want to get into the politics of it, but that is certainly also a reason.
@@LivePokerGuide It is the mainreason m8
Pokerstars died with the end of Super Nova Elite and focus on gambling and cassino games.
Yep this is the real reason why it went downhill. They got greedy and srewed over their loyal customers. And they are still paying the price for it.
Yeah, when they put blackjack table button on the screen when I was playing poker, I left hte site for 8 years.
Yes!!
They won on short Time..
While they lose on thé long run..

Thanks! Good luck at GG! That is the place to be for online poker.
GGpoker steal money from players. I do not think they a little bit more transparent than pokerstars.
The main reason I stopped gambling at pokerstars is the shity support. They threat you like shit
How about, because you can't make non discression deposits because everything is blocked or declined no matter what type of card or transfer you use
i still play on pokerstars, i m starting at 1,2 cent, and still tryin to win consistently, it very hard to avoid bad beats, watching your video is helping, so thanks for that,
Thank you! Glad you find the content helpful. Good luck at the tables!
Yeah the HUD thing is an important consideration. But for the health of the poker economy, I still think it would be better to ban huds.
So you use a hud? Huds should be banned it is pretty much cheating, they give too much information about your opponent.
A year back in India Spartan poker was so big so many player and so many big turnament were happening but now not even 10 people in cash games and tournament are getting cancelled because players are not available
Wow, that is crazy! Any idea what caused that massive change in numbers?
@@LivePokerGuide Someone told me that in india theres a 28% tax on all deposits, and 30% tax on all withdrawals, if true that can't of helped the decline.
Collusion is still a big problem on live games, too. Unless you're playing a tournament where they move players every twenty minutes, you'll always find people signaling to each other at casino cash games, even more in poker rooms.
Maybe I am too oblivious, but I never notice any collusion, although I'm sure that it does happen. I still don't think that it will happen a lot.
And for live poker, we only have one good casino...2 or 3 tables for cash games, always the same players every night :/
Charlie Carell showed a graph where PS was losing players years after years since 2012.

What casino do you go for live play in Belgium?
@@AardvarkPokerChannel Casino Resort Namur

I have a stars account but it's pretty dire. Bankroll slowly dwindles because it's all nits. Incredibly boring to play there.
Yep, this is what's happening these days.
No online poker in Australia since 2016. Miss firing up 4-6 deep plo10 tables on a weekend night whilst watching sports and having some beers
Yeah, sadly Australia is not the best place for poker these days.
@LivePokerGuide in Sydney, there are self dealt rake free 1/1 games at bars and "RSL Clubs" that are fun and juicy with consistent player pools. Casino poker has nosedived. Rake and wait times have gone up a lot, and the game no longer runs 24/7.
The RNG seems far more honest than the one on Party Poker I have never seen so many monotone boards
I share the same opinion. And also far more honest than GGpoker. Doesn't matter how much equity you have, ppl are never draw on the turn. They always find a card to give the oponent more equity on the turn!!
I am pretty sure those RNGs are close enough to real rng that you wouldn't notice anything. Every longterm deviation would be noticed
@@LivePokerGuidecompletely disagree! When we had access to the world, I won way more regularly, than when I can only now play fellow Ontarians…

Anyone exp. on PS getting virtually the same hand on 2 different tables simultaneously? I’ll play and get 86o in 2 games together with different suits, or an Ace with a mid kicker, a red king and a black 8… i have so many examples it’s scary.
Bollocks
and despite this and many other things I think Pokerstars has best RNG in the world of poker.
Is there a site you can recommend for canada? I play on ps mostly so im curious.

I just think online poker is losing its appeal in general. If you have access to GG, then play there. Otherwise, PS might still be the best option. But I wouldn't really play cash games online anywhere because the games are just becoming tougher and tougher.

its criminal.. scam site full of house players for the site

That sounds first of all like variance. But online games have definitely got much tougher, there is no denying.
Pokerstars takes no measures against RTA to keep the grinders in the pool. That's why it's not very appealing for me as a recreational player.
Lool pokerstars is the safest poker site dude. Acr , ggpoker, ipoker all are full of bots
@@qwaszx2 It's always been like that really.
Thanks. I wouldn't go that far to say that they protect the grinders; in fact PS would love it if they had more recreationals, but I can understand your scepticism.
How do they know? Ppl are using or not using RTA?
@@LivePokerGuide
Marked cards were founded from the casino staff and the players that marked the cards were banned.
Gave myself a lifetime ban… had enough of being 1 OUTERED for big pots … always big pots I would be 98% and still lose.. not any more
If u like me and live in Florida, what is best trusted site I should play on?
Honestly, if I lived in Florida, I would not play on any site. Instead I would it those live cardrooms hard. You have the best live games on the planet, apart from maybe Texas, so make the most of that!
If you do want to play online, then you'll have to check your options. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with what sites are allowed in Florida, but I believe that it's only ACR and Bovada as well as some clubs.

What's the best and safest poker site for European players?
I will attempt to answer this question in my next Ask Me Anything Live stream on August 12th.
you are only 9 years late
So much the worse for them, not for me." (or something like that)
Urgh, that sounds horrible. And live poker in France is also pretty horrible with the uncapped rake. I do not envy you.
I still grind pokerstars (international site), I multi table micro tournaments at the moment. The player pools are still ok, but sucks losing players through country legislation changes, hopefully my country doesn't change
Playing the micros is still just about okay. But even this might change one day. Good luck though!
Gg is just a nit fest full of weak regs too, fishes just don’t like cash games anymore they play Mtts or spin .
I totally understand that. I only play online for training purposes. Can you play live poker anywhere in the Netherlands? Or maybe Dortmund?
Started on Poker Stars playing the free games. Then I did a heck of a lot of reading educating myself and trying to improve my poker skills. The intent was just to become a better recreational player. I played cash games and then got into tourneys, and finally 9 player Sit'N'Gos SNGs. I won a lot of those becoming a SNG specialist. But the competition became difficult and the pool of players reduced. It was no longer any fun. I think I left some money in my account but haven't bothered to check. Just don't care. GG poker sounds like Party Poker in the early days. Might give it a look.
I used to love playing SNGs as well, but gave up about 8 years ago because they are just no fun anymore. Everyone plays the same style these days.
I only do play money on there, and even there the game selection is far less.

I agree that online you should just play for fun or as training for live poker. Thanks!
Interesting video , Coincidentally I play recreationall in low buy in Multi's and Sit n Go's. Last month I withdrew my roll from GG Poker and returned to PS. The Graphics on GG are so bad. Setting up on stars , removing all avators and having a clean table theme is so much better .
I agree that the graphics are so much better on Pokerstars. That's probably the only reason I still play there.
Similar sentiments here. Love the game but I don't like a lot of the people who play it.

Thanks! I also use Pokerstars as a training ground for live poker. And it's great for that!
Re your request: I'll answer the question in more detail in my next Ask Me Anything live stream on 15th July.
In the meantime, you might want to check out this video. Some of these card rooms are in Europe. It's all from a rake perspective, but still useful. ruclips.net/video/sP3MkBBa-_k/видео.html
And in the live stream, I will talk about other aspects too.
Besides other poker providers Pokerstars feels like home. I dont know why. The table and design structures are so comfy.. rakes etc are on a other side.. hope they will get better for cash gamers
Nicely said! To me it also feels like home.
all gambling is rigged to some extent, and the easier it is to rig a system, the more rigged it will be. besides the online rigging, casinos rig their games too.
They dont even have license in richests parts of Europe anymore for serveral years now. In The Netherlands for example.
Yeah that is true. It's getting harder and harder for them.
@@LivePokerGuide Problem is not it gets 'harder'. They did not even bother getting the licence. I guess GGPoker paid them off because thats the only site with full in those countries haha.
Nice video, mate 👍
Thanks mate, appreciated!
I only play micro tournees the odd Low tourneee when I win @ Pokerstars.
No args w ur points. Just to add to them: 1. the corp take over of stars and the instant penny pinching was off putting. Seemed the corp types just see players a money marks 2. Stars used to me innovative - see pt one. 3. politics and gaming don't mix. Ban a country and shot yourself in the pocket. If it wasn't for Brazilians on the site, well...
Thanks, yeah, you're right. Way too many companies see their customers as cash cows these days.
Used to play ps 12 years ago White watching patrick antonius and one year llater arjel kill the game with only playing against localq
Thanks! Yeah, definitely not great times for German poker players. Live poker is really the only way to go if you live near a casino that doesn't charge crazy rake.
@@LivePokerGuide The rake here in germany is to high to play profitable longterm. Best casino nearby is King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. But it's to far away from me unfortunately.
Yep, amount of times I was 95%+ favourite to win a hand and lost is what drove me away. Too often to be random.
Yeah that's true, black Friday was a big blow for poker. But even though it's not the same as back then, live poker is actually really striving in most parts of the world.
what is the black friday poker? what happened?
@@simaopacheco4529 American politicians decided to make it illegal to play online poker. It happened on a Friday, and so this is commonly thought to have been the worst day in history of poker.
If the casino games are rigged who can vouch for their code of ethics.
Yes I play poker stars and love it, I would also play GG if my location aloud it 🎉
you can do that with an agent i do
That s why I have 30bb/100 on Pokerstars at micro! Even at zoom I have over 20bb/100
I bet you are NL5$ losing player
If that really is your true win rate or close to it, you should move up (assuming you have the bankroll for it).
@@Mary-xc1ev I bet I don t care what u think! How can a 30bb/100 player at nl2 to be a losing nl 5 player :))
Over what sample size? 100 hands?
Pitty PS did leave Holland, I liked te play there, GG is ok.. but no Lex Veldhuis.
I like playing on pokerstars because I improve because of the tougher players.
Me too but I also play against recs every day and have hundreds marked. And on nl2 there are no good players cause they dont stay there for long at all.
Just my optimistic view. But obvously there are two sides to the coin. The higher limits seem to definitely be dissapearing.
Yeah, I use online poker as a training ground. You definitely improve much quicker playing online than live.
Yeah, I use online poker as a training ground. You definitely improve much quicker playing online than live.
Full Tilt was the best
Yes from Italy we can't play GG without been outlaw
Imagine the US opening up fully to GGpoker, what a boom, the opposite to black Friday...I can dream
That would be very interesting to see. It could indeed have such an effect.
I gave up on online poker because of the cheating / rigged collusion. I only play live nowadays and I am not considering giving online another chance.
Live poker is the way to go. That's why this channel focuses on live poker.
To me it appears that the elites wanted PS to be out of the game, it’s in the name. WSOP, DNeg… such a takeover doesn’t simply happen out of fair competition in today’s world. The question would only become: *Why* did they want it to happen?
The main mistake was a ban of Russian players, thanks God we have redstar
PS tournament provision is still good. I dont play cash games or if I do its for mixed games. Online cash, like online sngs are long since dead.
GG lobby is a complete mess and unavigatable and the site has a full tilt before its demise feel to it what with the big pros and shady money by still allowing Russian players etc.
Thanks! Yeah, tourney provision is what keeps the site running. And you are right, online cash is pretty dead. That's why this channel is about live poker ;-)
Still allowing russian players, what u mean with this?
@@BeAGoD2009 cause of the war i guess.
"shady money by still allowing Russian players" that's pretty disrespectful for the Russians and their right to play in spite of all the Putler's shenigans.
Stars got great hu mtt format
And the surface is very nice
The HU MTTs are the main reason I’ve stayed on PS, and the smooth surface. I find GG too cluttered with bs and the slow river peel is annoying af.
Thanks! Yeah I love the surface as well. Haven't played heads up mtts for a long time but I do remember, they were great.
Thanks! I fully agree with you regarding the cluttered GG surface and slow river peel. And I think that a lot of good players would say that. But I think that these are exactly the kind of things that appeal to recreational players. They love this stuff, and that's why they play at GG.
@@indubioprokokolores6502do you play HU regularly? bist auch deutsch wa?
Thanks for this Video..
Germans are also Not allowed to Play more than 4 Tables at the the time and only one Client IS allowed.
Yeah, German poker players are really not in a great position.
Need leaderboard & badbeat jackpot for cash games
I think they have leaderboards, just the wrong kind. You have to play a million table for 30 hours a day, then you will get a prize.
@@LivePokerGuide the leaderboard at ggpoker is a big reason people play there also ggpoker still let the players from Russia play that’s like 25 % off the playerspool you are missing at pokerstars 😄
But you are right pokerstars cash games are slowly dying there giving 100% deposit bonus to all players now old and new so there trying something
The leaderboard at ggpoker is a big reason people play there same for the bad beat jackpot and ggcare.
Ggpoker still let players from Russia play that’s like 25% from the players pool you are missing at pokerstars.
Pokerstars now giving 100% deposit bonus for all players old and new but not sure it will halo once you lose players it’s hard getting them back.
@@LivePokerGuide many people play for the leaderboard on ggpoker.
You are “ missing “ the players from Russia there now al playing on ggpoker that’s like 25 % off the pokerstars players pool
Poker stars is a big scam. I live in PA and can play online , problem is there are friends who are at one person's house and all 3 get on poker stars on there smartphones and work together to win every single hand, only way they don't win is if you get very lucky and get a straight or something they can't beat even though there are 3 of them . Wsop is the same way. Even if the three friends are not at one house and at there own homes they just get on there lap top computers and all three are on a 3 way call on there cell phones on same table telling each other what they have so it's nearly impossible to win if there are 4 people at the table and three are friends working as a team. Only way there is no real cheating at Texas Holdem is going to a live casino
To be fair, they lost the ability to operate in many countries.
Yeah, that's the thing. They were forced to either leave some jurisdictions or to change things radically.
Short answer: "More rake is better".
Canadian govt, provincial govt has ruined it for me and all canadians. So sad😮
Pokerstars made me to throw out my pc out of balcony ,i stil remember my last hand on online poker ,i flop the quads ,and on turn and river the oponent made straight flush ,runner runner !!! In that hand i loose 700$,it happen 10 years ago !! On this micro tables shity
Pokerstars died when Amaya bought them. Rakeback turned shit, rake increased, gambling added, and full of shitty decisions. Having that said GGPoker coming years surely will get massive hit as well. So many corners they cutt legally. They keep raising the rake as well and they don't protect their players enough.
Yeah that's it. Sadly, online poker is just going downhill everywhere.
I still play on pokerstars
You nailed the 3rd reason man! That's why I almost stopped playing online, especially Pokerstars and that's why I never put some big amounts in this site. Because somehow it looks rigged. And of course they can always avoid such allegations, calling it just VARIATIONS. But for me personally, its kind of obvious and logical. So I prefer life game and no matter what happen life, I know for sure its because of the variations.
Yeah it gives such days also by PP were 4 some Time Things dont happen like by PS loose everyy time on 1 day, loose and win is normal but loose everytime not only when youre really Bad and im not otherwise i dont get in Moneyrangs.
But also i see by live Tourneys same crazy things happens as online. Yeah it gives crazy days theire i quit after 1,2 h theire is Varianz so high and bs all ins nearly win every Time but also normal days were you win and loose also with AJo vs 55 He gets 3 5 after Flop and you get with 1 spades a flush so sometimes Varianz is with you sometimes vs you what normal is.
@@andyrusellthunderbrook4651 I know I play both online and life for like 20 yrs now, but somehow I think online this bullshits are too many. And as I said, its logical to be rigged, coz thats how the sites can make max profit. And nobody can prove it.
Thanks, yeah, unfortunately I hear that more and more. People will at some point stop trusting online poker completely.
Thanks. Live poker is the way to go. That's why this channel is mainly about live poker.
@@LivePokerGuide yeah depends also on the Players i get top 20-30 from 160,180 often but Varianz 1 Bad card or Long Time Not good cards dont bring me to FT its Like Trading Most loose theire by Poker Tourneys also 4 example by 160,180 Tourney 30 come itm so 130,160 not, by 180 thats ca. 15 %
Also depends on the Site i Play 4 some Months by Pstars and Partyp and by PS i lost 10 Showdowns ridiculous and crazy by PP i won and loose what normal is this and the awful non German by Satellites allowed rule Takes me to PP im o.k with them win, loose , 1 ,2 days go nothing then i quit after 1,2 h but Most days are o.k but by Satellites 4 example i often need 2 buy ins to get a Ticket 🤔😉
Poker stars died because they obviously have some sort of action forcing engine. I've never seen so many bad beats in my life. The other sites don't play out like that.
lol GG?
@@New-ye2fl nah GG is just a scam in the sense that their are obvious house players for the site and you get setup like crazy.. for example some guy is going full rtard shoving king 8 off suit.. then you get ace king and he shoves you call and he magically has aces.. I dont find the boards rigged on GG it just feels like you are playing robots or something... the player pool is super fishy yet you get setup with bad setups so often
"More rake is good" 😂
I'm a rec and play spin n go .25c, very few times / week, maybe ten entries per week . Just use free spin win du$t, don't load my acc.
Have noticed being on both sides of bad beats the amount of times
yeah pokerstars had it coming and their downfall is well deserved, tbh i think the starting point was black friday and the full tilt scandal, stars lost its biggest competitior, also party still was kind of big back then, at least in MTTs. Amaya milked it and we should be happy GG poker came around. I guess its just how things go.
I'll tell you what went wrong, Rake back grinders is what went wrong. I bet you all those rec players got tired of loosing that they decided to turn into a rake back Nit, and now sites are infested with these players. I'd rather play an aggressive Reg who's willing to bet it all somtimes without the nuts, as sopose to beating a nit with thin value so annoying AF.
Thanks, yeah you definitely have a point there.
Hey man your content is great. If you ever want to do a collab or something hmu
Thanks man, appreciated! I've been following your channel for a while as well. I really liked the vid about polarization mistakes, one of my favourite topics ;-)
Re collab, yeah sure, I'm always open for a collab as long as we can come up with something good. What were you thinking?
I am also getting disappointed by pokerstars. I feel better and safer on smaller rooms, i think that big rooms attract the cheaters and software users.... Poker got to stay a game and not a job, for the majority of the players.
That's a great comment! Than you! I agree. Most people forget that poker is meant to be a game, not a job.
its very much the opposite my friend, trust me
What about 888? I heard is nice and full of fishes
We can't play on Pokerstars anymore. I say this on behalf of 17 million Dutch people.
Yeah, that's sad. I read about it. Hope you have other good options. Is GG Poker legal in the Netherlands?
@@LivePokerGuide Yes, it is, but Pokerstars is a lot better for the true grinder. We can also play on iPoker (Holland Casino Poker).
What are you talking about? Come to NL50 NL100 full ring and u will see recreational players and maniac. And by the way after your video even those who left will go to GG
Great. I will check it out. When I played those games (admittedly in the morning), they were full of nit-regs.
GGpoker doesnt want to introduce mixed games. In the day they do, PS will be totally dead..Black friday and the exclusion fo the russians was what killed the most the site. Also low stakes MTT rake in PS is much higher than in GG.
These online games can be rigged. Using bots etc.
Online poker has been rigged for so long now, i realised this around 15 years ago.
Greed and corruption, rigged games and constant bad beats.
Also, I believe today AI software is working live during sessions. There very easy to create software with tracking live hands and show best decision and I believe it already exist.
Absolutely!
