can you help when i go to effects there is no selection part how can i find outline selection pls help...
tip: color selecting is quite hard so you can just make diagonal gradient and pick pixels from there little adjusts in darkness and you're got a nice colors

@@tzeikh5363 sword blades are typically 5-6x times the length of the hilt, minecraft by default has very short bladed swords, and pvp ones are jsut impractically unrealistic. I do get that its for screen occlusion reasons tho

@@andrewguerrero4239 go to Minecraft directory then Versions>select version> then right click the .jar file and click open with Winrar> then copy the assets folder to your project folder.
@Bauz Press the Windows Key and the R key at the same time, type "%appdata%" without the quotes in the text box, in that %appdata% folder, find a folder named .minecraft after that, find the versions folder, find the version you want to take the assets folder from, open the folder, right click the .jar file and open it with winrar, when opened, find and drag the assets folder to your desktop.

Well i actually thought it was less like this. I just took the defautl texture pack and did shit to it
you don't have to follow this particular set of steps, Finlay's just showing you _his_ style of making packs. the best pack creators usually have an artstyle that is distinct from one another.

yay i have a soft whear to make swords that look like blobs
the outline bit doesnt work for me it does an outline to the whole canvas

you hold alt and click outside of the sword, then click the gradient tool
i changed a vindicator into a lumberjack. turned out sick

make sure your tolerance isn't too high, e.g make it 50 or 25

for me when i do ctrl a and then backspace it turns it to what ever color I have selected why?
If you are still confused it’s the delete button not backspace, and if you don’t have a delete button go to your keyboard software and change one of the keys to delete

nice tutorials and textures, but the sword is horribly disproportionate to reality. the blades are usually at least 4-5x the lenght of the handle, and this one is **maybe** 1.2x.
this is minecraft not a 15th century warzone

anyone having the problem with when you export the image and safe it as png put it in the pack folder as the item name, when you load it in the game it looks a little blurry in the hotbar
i need help. i really like my sword but at 6:24 you cut and didn't show how you merged the layers. when i save it it is only the first original layer. please someone help me this is very confusing it is the same for all my other layers they don't merge and also when i go to open it it gives me an error.
