I'm actually kind of annoyed, not at Joel or Sean but at the company concealing their product as a FAN mail item in the hope of free promotion. They couldn't reshoot the video, maybe an edit "that last package you saw was promotional material" but I bet there wasn't another piece of fan mail around to take it's place. I like seeing stuff from other hobbiests like me.
These toys are all over Amazon under easily a dozen different seller's names.
DUDE. I honestly feel duped. We were filming, and didn't have anything left. Cutting it out would have meant two things. I'm just, dang it, I'm sorry. I may have to start pre-opening packages if this is what it's coming down to. I mean, it was packaged well, and it looked like a gift. What are your thoughts on pre-opening?
@@3DPrintingNerd open them from the bottom of the box b4 filming to "make sure its good for the segment" then lite retape and open the box like normal during streaming or recording

On pre-opening. . . I like to see the surprise in your eyes when you see something new, neat and interesting. We're both kids at heart. If it happens again maybe Sean or your wife could check them leaving the element of surprise for you?

The flynova had nothing to do with 3D printing, they kinda forced you to shill for them.. I thought you were gonna say the company released print files for the fan cage or something related.
I'm happy for your success, and don't mean to discourage you from promoting products, it's just odd.
Compared to a letter from a fan, flynova really doesn't care about your channel. They just want you to promote this copycat product.
That's not discouraging at all, it's very odd. It was wrapped as a gift as well. WTF.
That worthless toy cost 87 bucks. I don't think so. If it had a 360 degree camera, and flew a few miles sending high def images, then I might be interested. Plus it would have to be auto home. Don't want another $100 plus bucks flying off into the desert, never to be seen again...

Made me thinking of how a frisbee and a ball could be combined, and how it would act when designed, balanced thrown correctly. "Frisball" could be also pretty funky as dog toy if suitable filament would be used!

It’s Atomic filaments. I think cherry red PLA? I have the spool at the office can check when I go back - however I know it’s Atomic.
I'm not even mad that we'll be seeing balls flying everywhere soon, the Flynova drone is awesome; it'll help me with my blindfolded light saber training.

That’s the Daedalus from Project R3D. Bought it and got it out of the box on a stream on Wednesday. Find the stream and fast forward to the end to see the Benchy it printed. It’s GOOD.
