@@georgem2456 5 months after your question and not the guy you asked, but I love my C3, had it for 2 years, no tech issues, confortable crusiing on highways, cant complain about it and I still love looking at it! I have the 81 hp version. If you dont like confort oriented suspension you will probably be more happy in a fiesta but in 3rd gear this little car pulls and is fun for me to drive, drove in inthe mountains as well, no high speed cornering because the soft suspension makes you feel like in a boat but I geniunely had fun driving it! its not a fast car, or a cornering oriented car, but a confortable car, but in 3rd gear you get torque that lets you overtake stuff and I regularly cruised on highways and overtook whatever I needed to, benefits of its little weight
this is the greatest car review I have seen in my life, and I have watched thousands. Clear complete and the charm of a woman who knows what she is talking about. congratulations
Yet...I've just been out for a lengthy drive in a heavily used demo car (the Flair trim) with the 1.2 turbo 110ps 3 cylinder engine with the EAT6 auto transmission and it was fantastic! Incredibly smooth and very powerful with 205nm of torque at 1500rpm. It beats my Mk3 Skoda Fabia 1.2TSI 110ps, 175nm of torque at 1400rpm, with 7spd DSG auto, for smooth ride. But the two are quite closely competing. I like the look of the C3 too. It's not as boring as my Fabia. Suspension is on the soft side but my wife and I are liking that as it will make a change from my Skoda Fabia setup. After some careful research, reliability seems good with no intrinsic problems. Citroen have really raised their game over the last 6-7 years or so. So much so that we already have an appointment with the Citroen garage to do a deal on a new Flair.
As a driver of a Peugeot 208 I must say: Very good video, very nice car with character. With the cons you mentioned I can live very well. I have done that with my 208 for almost three years now. I enjoy driving it very much every day. And the C3 will be even more comfortable! And look so great from the inside and the outside! We in Germany are going to have this car in january or february. Can't wait to see it in reality. Thank you Citroën!
When I was younger, I loved German cars, I had a couple of Mercedes, one VW Passat and lately two Volvo V70s. Somehow I feel especially the Citroëns appealing nowadays. Somehow they have character and personality...
While it may be true that French cars had great designs for decades, it was never actually done by the French themselves, but by Italian design studios like Pininfarina. The new-wave of French car design started with the Peugeot 206 and Citroen Xsara Picasso, but ever since then they seem to be in a deep identity crisis. Contemporary Citroens have an eye-catching branding style but the core design of their cars isn't any unique.

Low 40s mpg when claimed 60 is not 'really very good'. I got that out of my 180bhp polo gti. If you have to have a slow clunky 3 cylinder then there should at least be an advantage to it
Qualtiy and build are great on these new C3's. I've never seen one with misaligned doors, bonnet or boot lid. Everything is good fit and finish. I'm just about to buy one and have looked at and driven several new ones. Go and check them out for yourself.
all of the touch screen based systems are climate control, and yet reviewers constantly point this out as if its a flaw. you don't need dedicated controls for things you don't need to change often
thinking the same, and have to add another nonsense reviewers often using, the position of Citroen gear selector for automatic gearbox. How often you have to use it? Twice a time in a trip?
Really nice car . I'v just done cofigurations on UK website and compare to Polish one . So , New C3 PureTech 82 petrol (SHINE version) cost 15,200 pound in UK , in Poland you can get one for 10,700 the only difference is that in Uk you get extra features like connected cam plus navi and alloy wheels where cost more less like 1200 pound ... still over 3k less . But the new C3 looks great . Regards .
After owning a Vauxhall, a Seat and a Renault as well as running various family cars, I can safely say my current Citroen is easily the best car I've owned. Economical beyond anything I've ever driven, more comfortable, better equipped and discounted to a ridiculous price for the size. I'll continue to think myself lucky I have turned away from the badge obsession so many people have.
Seems to be a common build quality problem, . The side air bumper thingies don't line up on the drivers and rear door. Same thing with another car review that was posted yesterday..
Having such an uncomfortable car atm makes me jealous of this. however I wish Peugeot had a sharper looking version of this car cause it's just too bubbly for me and legit those door bubbly things make me feel so uncomfortable.
The first thing I noticed was that the airbumps on the door are not aligned with the air bump panel on the rear wing. It's the same on both sides of the car and on all of these models. Bad panel fit already, bad quality assurance and probably another quirky not very well made, thank God for the warranty Citreon. Discuss.
Kevin Harris Yes I agree. If you pause the video at the 39 - 40 second mark, you can clearly see the rear airbump, where Ginny's hand is, does not align with the airbump on the door. If you look at similar videos for this car you'll see the same. If it doesn't bother some people or they can't see what I'm talking about; great! But personally it would bother me if I was to own one of these cars.
That car does have a slight misalignment of the airbumps, but not the panels. I'm just buying a brand new C3 with airbumps and all the cars I've looked at are perfect in this regard. So it's not something to worry about. Even if you did get one that did not align you can have it refitted under warranty. On the point about quality of the C3, I'm a car tech and I've been all over these new C3's. Qualtiy is better than any previous Citroen in my opinion. Citroen have really raised their game now on build, fit and finish. And my colleagues (techs) who work on them are very pleased with the way the cars are performing and are trouble free.
I have a used C3 that I've been loaned while I wait for my brand new C3. it's one year old with 14,000 miles on the clock. It's had a hard life but as yet no rattles or creaks. Yet my wifes Skoda Fabia is rattley and creaks constantly and it's the same age with just 6,000 miles on the clock. Not really what you'd expect from Skoda VAG car.
Quote : "...... Citroen claim 61mpg...., we're getting in the low 40's.... which is really pretty good.... " Er..., what ?? Low 40's may be the more truthful version of what this , and other, manufacturers get from a 1.6, but really it's not that great. Car overall, must say, very nice. Though, I'd probably go for a DS3.
I want this vehicle with a CVT transmission and a small-size steering wheel from the new Peugeots. Oh, and a proper door handle please. It's a shame PSA can design such a good engine as the 1.2 unit but then butchers it with a horrible lineup of gearboxes.
You want this with a CVT? Those are one of the worst transmission ever made. Constant failure rates and massive unreliability. Not to mention how if it breaks (or should i say when) it's needs to be replaced entirely which costs thousands. Horrible invention. You're way better off with a standard transmission or a manual.
Well my friend, you haven't driven a Subaru lately I assume, because their Lineartronic gearbox is a dream. I don't mind it breaking if they improve ride comfort - and they definitely do, it's a whole different level of automobilism.
@@profemeritus534 As an ex-tech I can tell you CVT is not a good choice in most vehicles. They tend to have short lives compared to many other types of auto boxes. The Subaru you speak of is nice to drive but hugely expensive when the CVT goes south. I've replaced one for a customer and he needed to remortgage his house to pay for it. And I'm not joking. That original box lasted just 85,000 miles. Torque converter auto boxes are making a big comeback because they outlast most dual clutch and CVT transmissions. They are also smaller and lighter and very much mimick DSG driving smoothness. My C3 with the EAT6 auto box is pretty darn good especially with cruise control engaged. She drives herself really economically and smoothly.

First of all it is extremely rarely you have to adjust the temperature. Second you should also bith about looking at the SatNav or changing radio station.
It is effectively continually recording a 30 second clip but will save it when an accident occurs, hope this makes sense. High end cameras have been doing this for a while..
Ahh yes, the same is true with the current gaming consoles, they record constantly and only save when prompted. Its just the way it was described by ginny that threw me off.
Building a car that is focused on comfortable seats and soft suspension isn’t really something associated with today’s driving. More like the 70s or 80s cars. Ford Fiesta much more fun to drive
It's definitely associated with driving in 2024. Where can you drive these days where you aren't stuck behind someone going 10 mph under the speed limit. Comfort is where it's at.
Worst...."car"....eeeever!! my parents bought one new, full option, changed it after 8500km. Despicable front seats, awful driving position, I'm 1,82m , mediocre inside quality at best, and above all that the engine stopped one morning at -13°C after they drove 5-6 km away from home...which I found very peculiar...they had to be towed and at the dealer they have been told that there is nothing wrong with the car, it just needs to stay in a warm place for a while...
JB how come? 6 speed automatic named EAT6 (a proper one, not that robotized ETG "contraption") is on price list in my country and as I understood, it will ship when sales start early next year...
character and charm ... *LOL* ... With THESE "arguments" marketing tries talking every ugly thing pretty for years. As usual good review, Ginny - but shame on you ... poor Batch left alone in the woods ;-))

Yes, I use Android Auto and it's fantastic. I can voice command a range of things aside from navigation. Really useful!
Please do BMW x6
Has Batch got a beard now?
30 seconds before an accident? so the car is psychic?
It is effectively continually recording a 30 second clip but will save it when an accident occurs, hope this makes sense. High end cameras have been doing this for a while..
Ahh yes, the same is true with the current gaming consoles, they record constantly and only save when prompted. Its just the way it was described by ginny that threw me off.
claimed 61 real world low 40 forties still thinks it good
Xenon Games depends on how and where it is driven. Being a new car also contributes to higher consumption.
Building a car that is focused on comfortable seats and soft suspension isn’t really something associated with today’s driving. More like the 70s or 80s cars. Ford Fiesta much more fun to drive
But with the C3 you don't have to worry about your fillings.
It's definitely associated with driving in 2024.
Where can you drive these days where you aren't stuck behind someone going 10 mph under the speed limit.
Comfort is where it's at.
good car
well low 40 consumption is not 'pretty good'
Worst...."car"....eeeever!! my parents bought one new, full option, changed it after 8500km.
Despicable front seats, awful driving position, I'm 1,82m , mediocre inside quality at best,
and above all that the engine stopped one morning at -13°C after they drove 5-6 km away from home...which I found very peculiar...they had to be towed and at the dealer they have been told that there is nothing wrong with the car, it just needs to stay in a warm place for a while...
A mixed bag really. The rims are horrible and the air bumps to small. Good they fixed the seats, the look comfy. Does come with an automatic gear box?
JB how come? 6 speed automatic named EAT6 (a proper one, not that robotized ETG "contraption") is on price list in my country and as I understood, it will ship when sales start early next year...
She called it "cute", great way to turn it into a girl's car!!
Cute car lovely Driver.
i like it but its too big
This is not Rebecca.
complimenti per il perizoma!! 😁
Look at the airbumps Alignment? Take a close look. Shockingly not even level. Quality build 😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤
character and charm ... *LOL* ... With THESE "arguments" marketing tries talking every ugly thing pretty for years.
As usual good review, Ginny - but shame on you ... poor Batch left alone in the woods ;-))
the doors sound cheap.

Exotic...
It's a Citroen, not a "Citron." Thanks.
Nice 😍👌
