He chased away a lot of vehicles. Common sense tells you to leave as quickly as you can. I know from personal experience what a deer can do to a car, and an elk would be just as bad or worse.
Just watched a similar video on a moose. It must’ve been way over six foot. I had no idea they were so big. And, the antlers in this clip. Astonishing.
I saw a different video where someone noticed that same elk apparently was calling for help. He followed it and a cup (?) was stuck in a ditch. But these days you really can't be sure anymore what part of the video is real and what someone edited and narrated and made up.
Well, in the other video a motorist got out of his vehicle and followed the elk to where there were three elk trapped in quicksand (incorrectly called "mud"), one of which dies before our eyes. It would seem difficult to fake that unless the faker just happened to have a video of three elk trapped in quicksand laying around. The elk in both videos is not "attacking" anything; its behavior seems to indicate it is trying to get attention more than anything else.
The amount of people that really believed the elk story is concerning, its not even well made, imagine what people can do with better tools, we’re all doomed
lol I too saw that story, and made a quick to find this video. so the dude stitched many videos together to craft a heartwarming story. the elks stuck in the mud seemed to be found by some humans who stumbled on them. Yet I've seen some uncut videos of animals seemingly asking for help.
@@ZouUuu Elks and deer never ask for help. They are extremely stupid and have no sense of reasoning. They randomly run in front of vehicles, randomly flee from people and so on. More intelligent animals like canines, elephants, birds, felines etc can ask for help. But never deers
There’s actually a longer version of this video where it shows this buck was only trying to get the attention of someone so they could help the herd. Apparently the herd had become stuck in a marsh nearby and the buck actually led several people to them. They roped and dragged them out to safety. It’s one of those rare instances where animals come to humans for help.
The elk saw it as a challenge. The truck picked a bad time to move and when it did was too slow in the wrong direction. It considered the truck about to blind side him.
It wasn’t reckless for the cars to go around. They did it in a safe manner. But it was reckless for this truck to just sit there blocking the road. There is no need to stop when the elk is on the side of the vehicle. They could have kept going and the elk would eventually move off the road.

This is a bull elk, meaning it's male. There are no father deer in nature because males are absent fathers, only caring about impregnating the female and leaving.

Have you noticed how nobody talked about the elk calling for help until after the fake video was posted? And I'm sorry to say but bull elks are not loyal. Their mating ritual literally consists of them fighting other males. If an elk sees another in trouble, it's going to leave and never come back, because that's just how prey animals operate.
