    To find high grade Epithermal Gold deposits you must look for the right geological settings and in this video we give you some great examples of the specific geology to look for when out hunting for this type of gold. This is 1 out of 12 well-characterized Gold deposit types. Paleo placer, Orogenic (Mesothermal), Porphyry, Epithermal (Bonanza Type), Carlin, Placer, Reduced Intrusion related, Greenstone Hosted, Volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS), Skarn, Carbonate replacement, and Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCG). For more vids on using Geology to find Gold watch this video ruclips.net/video/7624DutE42o/видео.html and smash that like button...SMAS it HARD !

    Just wanted to say, Uncle Jeff, you got me into gold prospecting! I’m not in a known gold bearing district, but about 40 miles from one. Using geologic maps, I found a creek near me that looked like it had a slight chance of having placer gold. I test panned like you taught me and eventually found a pay streak in a gravel bar! Gold has never been documented in this county before, which makes it doubly cool!

    Jeff, you showed a map of Australia! Also, I think it'd help if you could compare how this works to smelting. I saw you in the Katherine mine, I think below granitoids, I mean id probably look for that. Quarts is like a type of flux, I'd where nuggets form though, or what the properties of these ores you look for are generally.

    • @Askjeffwilliams
      @Askjeffwilliams  Месяц назад +1

      yep it was an example so we would not have a Gold Rush to that area ...so much Gold there ....

    • @apertureonline9566
      @apertureonline9566 Месяц назад

      @Askjeffwilliams don't want Ole slim coming down? I'm thinking black sands are essentially the natural flux, and quarts and pyrite are like more durable versions that run in veins. Idk if iron is brittle, but a lot of metals, especially the amorphous kinds, are more brittle. I guess it is mostly in quartz, but im still trying to learn how I can figure that out via Google maps. It looked more like it can happen around diorites as well as sedimentary rocks, idk if one is more prone to forming nuggets or not. I went to Auburn, but that stuff is extremely difficult to smelt and refine, can't pan it out.

    • @apertureonline9566
      @apertureonline9566 Месяц назад

      @Askjeffwilliams so I figured out it is found in mainly slate and sedimentary rock layers. You were looking for quartz and volcanic rocks I think. the transitional ares of both I think are primarily where gold is located. Slate has fine gold though.

    Jeff, I have what I'm convinced is a Algoma BIF grab samples (Two milk crates) and one side is cooked on a few pieces from hot rocks covering it. That said, I have lots of these vug's with crustiform around them in those and what I thought was Silica stockworks are actually Calcium based. (they bubble with HCL.) Anyway, How long does it take for these to form ? I ask because some of the big vug's are filled already and the little one's right next to them on the same rock are not yet filled. Very puzzling. But not as puzzling as my black and white banded Calcite sample not having any Calcium at all in it. I'm in a part of New England where long ago Volcanic arc Islands got squished into our coast.

      I hope to connect this formation with what they are calling Taconite over the pond in Morocco. Same stuff I believe. But mine has Calcite stock works through it.
