You make incredibly helpful videos!! I just remounted my reserve because I didn’t even realize about the Velcro on the side of the harness. I zip tied the reserve lines to the frame🙄. Thank you!!
You really ought to cut those off and use the velcro sheathing. Wouldn't it be unfortunate if your zip ties were to slice your reserve bridle if you have to toss? *shudders*
This was awesome stuff. I was so confused by looking at reserves and all their stuff, and the fact that you apparently cant just buy everything you need all in one tidy package. Its almost like having to buy a glider, and having to go buy risers and put it together with no instructions. It doesnt make a lot of sense.
@@liftedppg4370 I was wondering about some sort of liability... everyone is so quick to sue. They basically can say "we sell reserve chutes. thats it." they leave it up to the pilot to figure out the best installation for their own craft, instead of having to come up with 75 different instruction manuals and setups. "Oh well you need X bridle for the MavMax, the reason you broke your ankles was you were using Y bridle and thats for the Kangook Vikking".
Hey FYI i got my reserve and bridles n this week from Airquest. Found this video again looking at how to install it. I got one size larger than necessary because I was right on the edge of two of them. Thanks for the great video
It was really easy except… I have no idea where the rubber O rings go! Maybe someone could make a video on that? :) Also when you forget and leave your rubber o rings in a field where you’re filming stuff, they’re surprisingly hard to find the next day.
Should you really be packing it in the rain? I thought moisture was bad for these im considering replacing mine as its been sat in a moost garage all winter
Not ideal, I will admit, it’s been cold enough for the snow to not melt, as you can see on the harness, so I just brushed it off before putting it inside. But again, not the best example 😅
So what you are telling me is that Anthony Vella is wrong and I should fly with a reserve? but I fly a Mojo in benign conditions. Do I still need a reserve?
A reserve can actually increase your risk if you do not preflight it or fly recklessly just because you have one. I think, for the responsible mature individual a reserve is a really good idea. 😊
From one instructor to another, you are really good 👍🏻
Thanks man!! I appreciate that a lot 👊🏻❤️
“fit shits the shan” - love it!
Very good content. Thank you. As you said there aren't a lot of videos on this topic, so it is greatly appreciated. Happy new year.
My pleasure, thank you Wayne! Happy New Year 😄

Glad I could help! Zip ties work, but they kinda give me the creeps lol

@@asksteevs I did, I used the Velcro now
Great video. Lots of good info

Totally agree! I think they do this because not every paragliding set up requires rapid links? Not exactly sure on that though.

Awesome! You are very welcome, I hope the install was smooth sailing! 🤙🏻

Excellent video Brother. As you know we covered this briefly in training but this is a great refresher. Happy New Year. God bless you and yours.
Blessings Tom! Thanks for the support ❤️
Can you do another one for trikes and a lap pouch?
120cm V riser are good or too short? I have the same harnes.

Does beg the question why I fly with one then 🤔🥸
