I can hardly wait to buy my new Wright Standers! Just a few more weeks, then I'll have a 36" & a 52". I wish Wright would make a mowing video every week, because when I'm not mowing, I love watching mowing videos, especially when there is a Wright Stander in the video!
+David Birkett David, Glad you are following us and enjoy what we are doing. If you have any video ideas let us know. We do plan to produce a verity of videos throughout this Fall and Winter so stay in touch.
Wright Commercial Mowers - I demoed a hustler Stand on. Here are my thoughts of why I didn't buy it: 1. I don't like how the deck was the kill/safety switch; bouncing on a yard constantly made the machine kill on the up of a bounce and then start on the down. 2. sometimes we get stuck (say in the mud, next to a fence, etc), having the Killswitch on the deck means we can't get off to push and makes it heavier if you have a guy pulling. 3. I didn't feel safe, instantly. I wouldn't want to train a new guy on one, only a highly experienced guy. 4. I didn't like having to hang on. I would prefer a steering type more like the zero turns, or like the Hustler walk behind (like motorcycle handlebars). However, I'm sure this is a true design challenge. * My thought immediately was to have the Killswitch on the handlebars, again like the hustler walk behind. 5. Although the mower was shorter than the zero turns, it was actually bulkier on the trailer and I had to back it up to get it on the trailer. 6. It is so heavy we could not rely on this mower getting into some yards which requires us to jump a curb or sidewalk. When we have those types of yards the walk behind can get over them and they are light enough in the front we can lift the front end. I hope my 2 cents helps with a design. I truly would like to use a stand on as my back is getting worse and now needing injections. The sitting makes my back worse. Thanks for the videos. keep 'em coming!
I want the old days back when I could get off my mower and it kept running. I want the old days back when I was treated as an adult who had a clue rather than a brain dead idiot. Too many "safety" features these days. Heck, gas cans now have safety features! Rant over ... for now.
I had convinced myself that I was getting a rider no matter what. With plantar issues in the feet, I just figured that's the way to go. But now I'm seriously considering standers. Thank you.
We've used the Toro Grandstand since they've come out. I will take a stand on over a ride on any day of the week. Not as fatigued at the end of the day, less weed whacking because I can get under low hanging trees with no problem, can mow steeper hills (yea not advised in the owners manual), we don't get stuck as much as we did with the ride on and when we do they're easier to pull out. Also we can fit 4 grandstands in the same space that two ride ons take up. And to those asking how your legs feel after mowing 5 plus hours at a time (I've done it) it's nowhere close to what you think. You;re not stiff, sore, etc. Another cool feature is if you become good enough, you can weed whack and blow from the platform of the stand on which decreases the amount of time spent on the job.
I recently just purchased 61in wright zk. It's an excellent product. Cuts awesome and is very comfortable to use. Awesome on hills and very productive. I will be replacing my two turf tigers with these machines in time.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the wright stander mowers. They brought me a stander x to demo and man it’s just exactly what anyone needs if they’re mowing hills and slopes. I want one SOOOO bad but payday and boss lady at home says nope. I have worked on a few of these and used them and I can’t really say anything bad about these mowers except it’s a little tough to get to a dealership. My nearest dealership is about 1hr. and 45min. away but they’re super friendly and super helpful. The mower seriously holds the ground really well as to be expected by design. All I can say is take the time to demo a model that you are interested in and see what you think about it.
I Love my Stand On Mower. Everything Mr Wright said, I know now to be true. I’ve lost weight, I feel healthier, and my mowing is more detail oriented because of the change I believe.
In the northeast ALL the landscapers have switched to these. 2 foreigners banging out 1/2 acre lots in 20 minutes. Very fast & efficient IMO. So much for the weekend Joe trying to compete for some extra dough with a box store machine.
if mowing a lot of acres you're standing up for hours then have to stand up to trim. give me a break!!! Yeah step off mower and into the pond it goes. most used mowers are walkbehinds and riders as a combination. there's nothing young and get done. Standups PLEASE DO NOT take on hills or around ponds...there goes $10k down the toilet.
Thank you for this. Seems like standing is the way to go in just about every situation. Some guys just need to sit, because. Sheeeit, im sittin n mowin. lol. The jarring on the back and getting up out of the seat all day i never ever thought about.
Great Video, only one problem, try standing for eight or nine hours mowing, your dead, I do this every day, I will take my sit down, zero turn, Mow on the golf course for five hours and then on my customers in the pm. and at the end of the day, I am dead. Lord Bless
Standing the entire day is the norm for most physical/labor jobs, so it makes sense as an employer to use! As you say, you're dead after 9 hours while I am able to do 12-16hours on my feet? 🤔 I'm an Ontario based company and we crank her all day
Wright Commercial Mowers I work at a country club with two courses and I can tell you it’s every bit as bumpy as a small yard, if not more so. That’s a really bad argument. Also we use gravel maintenance paths to move around the course, if u were on a stander it’d fling you right off. Standing mowers are the absolute worst there’s no way to justify them
For mowing flat, open areas with little to no bumps, I could see a standing mower being the more practical option. However, I've been mowing grass at a cemetery for over 6 years now and these mowers just wouldn't be practical. The land is too bumpy and it's easier to detect dips and high spots in the ground when you're sitting lower to it, which is especially important for mowing over headstones in the ground that are sometimes a bit too high. Also I have a feeling the standing mower decks are a pain to work on when a belt pops off or something, being the engine is right on top of them. But I do agree with most of the other benefits of the standing mowers.
Brandon, We actually do quite well in the cemetery business--easy to navigate tight areas and good visibility on all sides, including the back. Since the engine floats with the deck--belts don't angle and pop off--most can be replaced in 5 min w/no tools. Like many mowers, the hydro belt is a little more involved. -Ed
Nice. Personally I'll take the seat. Being on your feet and stepping on & off many times eventually overuses those body parts associated with those movements. Kind of like a stand-up forklift for 8 hours.
Stand on mowers are terrible on hill sides , and when I used one I hurt my back because it tosses you around more. I've mowed 15 accounts for 13 years and the only reason other mowing service's use stand on mowers is they can put more of them on a trailer.
now i just wanna see your excavator with hydraulic mower attachment doing an acre upload a vid for me :) hulkhuggett said it best so far safety switches and too many of them are a dangerous hazard to my saftey and the well being of my equipment ; also #SitDownsRule
Mark Frowning unfortunately my excavation company does not do mowing.I do see your point though, however I don't see the purpose of pointing this out. I did not say I was mowing. - In best regards,Eric
Two points: (1) My back doesn't hurt after mowing in the seat for an hour or more. In fact, after age 40, it feels much better! (2) I'm not jumping on and off the mower to pick up trash. I've already walked the property and cleared it. (3) You talk a good game, but I've noticed that you never start and demonstrate your mowers in your videos, despite having obviously better design and materials built into them! That said, I do enjoy the stand-on mowers because they're just fun! Wright kicks ass!
The only thing bad about a stand up mower like this is that this is all it will ever be. You cannot pull a lawn cart around with it. You cannot pull a lawn sweeper with it. You can with a ZTR.
There is definitely pros and cons to both of them. For instance the ability to add a clamshell bagger you can't do that on a stand on. Or if you want a diesel engine stand on mowers don't offer that. And indeed some guys prefer to sit versus standing. If you can get used to standing though I think you would have a great mower, less trailer space and can get into tighter spots then a regular zero turn.
Does it make you feel like Ben Hur? As the saying goes, "Different strokes for different folks." I just can't see an ad on TV, like the one for gutter guards, where I'm not given a hint as to what they cost. One could at least tell us the cost as it compares to something that we know the general price of.
What ever you do, don't buy a wright stander. It is almost impossible to find the parts you need and the dealers are the worst. They are quick to sell you a mower but slow to assist you at all in getting OEM replacement parts. I'm two steps away from never buying another Wright Stander.
Sorry to hear of your bad dealer experience. If you would, go to our webpage and send us a message including who your dealer is. It hurts us, as well as all the other brands in the store, when the service is not good and timely. -Ed
I've reached out and I believe I spoke to someone on your team in customer. The support was great and my faith in the Wright brand have been restored. I've tried several brands so far and Wright is still one of my top experiences. I'll be trying a 36" stander next purchase to compare and against the Ferris SRS, fingers crossed..
if you ever have problems getting parts, go to a john deere dealer, their standers are made by the wright company i believe and they carry all the parts for them (but at JD prices tho...).
A-Veteran Lawn Care the only problem I have with my local wright dealer is they’re about an hour and fourth five minutes away. But they make up for being so far away by being extra friendly and super helpful. I’ve had them wait 45 minuets after closing to get me parts I needed. I don’t own one of these mowers (but I would if my paycheck would permit it) I have done some repairs on them. I love everything about these mowers except the earlier models that offered the intek Briggs. Wright quickly caught on that intek Briggs was a junky engine and dropped em. I think the only Briggs they offer now is the vanguard Briggs and it’s not even built by Briggs. I believe it’s built by Daihatsu. If I’m wrong someone can correct me but I believe I saw a Daihatsu label on the few I’ve worked on but can’t remember for sure.
This would make sense, if people actually used a siting mower how you're supposed to. But nobody buckles in on a mower lol. So getting up to pick something up (if you don't do that before mowing like you're supposed to) isn't any more timely than the standing mower. And "You have to CLIMB up into the machine", ok come on now, it's one step. No climbing involved. And to the main point, how is standing better (in a physical standpoint) than sitting? I have to mow a huge field and never have any stiffness in my back, I actually feel very loose and in a way numb, I guess from all the intense vibrating from my mower. But yeah, I don't feel stiff at all. I guess that depends on the seat itself, and the way you sit in it.
well standing is great in all but if a lawn guy is doing his job right he will remove all obstacles BEFORE mowing and wont have to get off the machine while cutting and would you rather sit in a corner for 2 hours or stand?
We just bought a Wright velke today and love it so far. Ive been looking into the standers but have one concern. A lot of our properties aren't flat or have holes/low spots in the yard. My concern is the stander scalping these areas since there is no way to lift the deck while riding. Do you have any advice you can give since most of these customers do not want to fill these in or top dress.
Hey Ed got a question i have a 36 wright with a fixed deck its been extreamly reliable is it normal that ive had to change my caster bushings like every six months and i apply greese twice a week but they still wear out no big deal for me just wondering if its normal i put around 900 to 1000 hours a year on this mower its still under warranty cause its only a year old i wouldn't change it for nothing i like simple machines im old school the less moving parts the better and im really certain this machine will give me over 6000 hours of life span and more thank you ed.
600hrs is not unusual--especially if there is sand involved. I've heard of some folks who will take them out and rotate them 90deg to evenly wear them. When we made the Intensity we switched to the bearing setup which can last nearly forever if it's inspected and adjusted one a year. -Ed
Sitting has turned me into a really lazy landscaper lol. Running the trash over has just become easier. I was looking at the 32 today at lowthers in nj does any variation come with a floating deck?
Here are the part numbers. Your Wright dealer parts department can get them. Part numbers for the Trash Collection Accessory: 95490014 - Stander X and large frame fixed deck Stander 95490015 - Stander I and small frame Stander 95490016 - Newest Velke (non-pistol grip) 95490017 - Newest ZK
I have an exmark x series. no problem. comfortable and gets 20 acres done in no time. there's no way standing on that Wright for 20 acres is more comfortable than sitting down riding. you must be on drugs!! All my buddies that have Wright's says that's hog wash so tell the people the truth. You all say anything to get a sale
There is a time and place for both machines , just saying. I would love to have a Lazer Z ! I like the Wright a lot too ! Man can't have to many toys , uh I mean tools ! 8 )
Where I live I mow acreage size plots with large amounts of weeds a stand on mower is not ideal for that it is great for small yards but large amounts of mowing is not a good idea with these things.
There is no way you can get me to give up my Exmark 60 zero turn for a stand on machine. I have a comfortable suspension seat I get on and off just fine and I can mow faster and get right under trees.
Ethan, That's why we do make Z's. In fact we paid the price of even updated to offering the GRAMMER seat on the MMZ which is one of the best seats out there. -Ed
Stand-ups is for young men. Older men wants to sit down. It is a difference between them. Younger men stand up to be seen. Older men just don't care. Get the job done and get it over with.
I have. The thing is rarely do you cut 6 hours nonstop and the movement is actually better for you. I've found sitting in a seat I feel like my organs are getting jostled without the muscle tone of standing and the ability to soften big bumps with your legs.
captainslogstarshipenterprise Damm dude you guys are lazy as hell dude ive been mowing lawns for over 35 years and trust me sitting on your ass all day on a zero turn rider distroys your bach you will gain wait like crazy and you become so lazy when you get off that zero turn ive seen all these retired landscapers that used riders all there lifes with messed up bach and can't even walk my pops is one of them.
I'll stick to sitting while mowing. Just carry a folding hand tool that reaches small objects on the ground that you don't want to hit. $10.00 or less each. What back problems from sitting? Spinal stenosis is worse when standing.
Typically you're not standing for 10 hours you mow along you get off you put it on the trailer you get in the truck and Driver the next location and you do this several times for several accounts so you're not standing for 10 hours a day you have plenty of other times were sitting driving to the next location
Wright Commercial Mowers ok cool thanks for responding. I don't even know who great Dane is lol. First time I ever seen a stand on personally was from a grandstand. Just based on visuals as I've never operated a wright mower, your company would be the only company I'd ever consider other then Toro. I can tell by the quality of that deck that you have a sturdy mower, because I am rough on mine that's the most important thing for me
Knees and ankles don't like this. A stand up fork lift works because warehouse floors are smooth concrete but even then its not uncommon to see a pallet picker with a knee brace or have had knee surgery. I agree a WB or stander can be beneficial in specific applications but a quality mower equipped with a high end suspension seat really can't be beat for acreage. I like my Grasshopper diesel front mount but a simple walk behind, even a gear drive needs to be in my fleet for backup and for hills my 1,300# diesel mower won't climb.
I like all these points except the getting on and off, before mowing you should examine your area before you mow that is just how ive been taught it seems to make more sense then stopping the flow of work to move stuff out of your way
Yes, you absolutely need to survey the site for any hazards. I'm thinking more of the amount of times you need to get on/off the mower when you need to unload a trailer or open a gate. You may even use the mower for transportation to the back of a property to move something in the way. -Ed
So you'll spend two or three minutes walking around an acre of a yard to check for stuff that shouldn't be there and if there is you'll walk the whole way to the end of the property to pick it up and move it and then walk back why not just get off your standon as you get close to it, sounds to me like you'll use less time with a stand-on than you do pre walking the property
I don't have to duck on a sit-down mower as well...haha. Just kidding. Neat concept, but with my knees being an issue with Mr. Author Ities , I need a sit-down. Maybe I can buy the other one someday.
they compared two machines that they actually make. seems pretty unbiased. why would a company that also makes sit down ztr mowers do this unless its unbiased. and look at all the companys copying them.
Maybe I’m wrong here but in this video you seem to be kind of promoting the stand on mower more than the z don’t you want customers to still purchase the z mower of yours because it costs more
We do like to make money, but in the long term we know we have to provide value to be sustainable. We know most people will be safer and make more money on a Stander. -Ed
my brother bought a walker mower and i bought a wright stander 36in and i had my brother run my wright for a week and he loved it. he wanted to trade me mower. the wright stander is a great mower too of my friends bought wright mowers because they saw my wright.
+Wright Commercial Mowers, My brother was a Major in the Marine Corps. He is a Major something for sure....but when he saw my Wright he said, "You know, I've never gotten anything done sitting on my ass."
Mike, That would be a sweet combo. Chute blockers and mulch kits are usually offered as dealer installed options. EFI prices are coming down and probably will be low enough in the next couple years that they make more sense for smaller deck mowers. One thing about 32" and 36" mowers is they tend to be used more on smaller yards or as a trim mower and so don't accumulate as many hours as quickly, and so EFI takes longer to pay off compared to larger 72" and 61" mowers that use 1.5-2 gallons per hour in heavy use. Thanks, Ed
i call it a grab stick, & they definitely do work well for trash while using a rider, but for larger obstacles it's still easier to get on & off of a stander.
Standing straight is not natural, these mowers give you knee problems. A friend of mine had to get two knee operations because of these things. Pushing is more natural because you are walking. But these you are standing straight and our spines are curved. In my opinion it's better to get a rider.
OHHH so intimidating you told me to keep my mouth shut OHHH I'm so scared, come on man I put my opinion out here you can disagree with me in a better manner than that, when all I said is that our spines aren't meant for that, our knees aren't either that's why my friend had to get two operations on his knees, please look it up before you tell me to shut my mouth. Have a nice day
Stand on mowers beat the hell out of you I don’t care what they say they’re selling them I’m using them I’d rather have a sitdown mower any day put those idiots that design those and have them mower 20 to 50 acres and see how they like it in the hot 🔥☀️
Hi Kenny, are you talking about the Shortcut 1500? If I recall they came out in 1998-1999, which was a couple years after we had built our first stand on.
1. Don't know till you try. 2. Yeah, true, but check out some of our other videos. 3. Sometimes we wounder too :) there are lots of situations that need unique mowers and some folks really love riders. -Ed
Outdoors, They actually do quite well since the weight is low and near the center. We did get some bad rapp back in the day when we started because we had a 36" mower with real thin tires. Now all our 36" mowers have 8.5" wide rear tires!
Wright Commercial Mowers they still don't do well. There is a lawn care company near me that only uses them in dry grass and walkbehinds/ZTs in the wet grass.
I can hardly wait to buy my new Wright Standers! Just a few more weeks, then I'll have a 36" & a 52". I wish Wright would make a mowing video every week, because when I'm not mowing, I love watching mowing videos, especially when there is a Wright Stander in the video!

lay down mowers coming in 2019!! you can mow like super man or take a nap!
Talk about a bumpy ride! -Ed
Experimental Fun 😂😂😂
I had convinced myself that I was getting a rider no matter what. With plantar issues in the feet, I just figured that's the way to go. But now I'm seriously considering standers. Thank you.

2 0 why would they? I’m a Scag V-Ride II owner.
about 10 years ago my buddy had a Wright stander 32 or 36 inch. it was an absolutely awesome machine! sorry no dealers sell em around here.
Well that's not good! Where are you?
I agree 100 percent and mostly the back issues is what made me love standing so much more
In the northeast ALL the landscapers have switched to these. 2 foreigners banging out 1/2 acre lots in 20 minutes. Very fast & efficient IMO. So much for the weekend Joe trying to compete for some extra dough with a box store machine.

Paul Covill Standing for 8 hours isn't even that bad? And yes I work for a lawn care company. Mowing a cemetery for 12 hours.

Makes more sense than me watching it. I work in an office in a city. My lawn is small enough that I cut it with hand shears.
Wright commercial, Please can you send me a 36 inch mower so i can start my part time lawn cutting business?
good points, than your choose may depend on your health and body type or amount of land you need to cover
True!

There is definitely pros and cons to both of them. For instance the ability to add a clamshell bagger you can't do that on a stand on. Or if you want a diesel engine stand on mowers don't offer that. And indeed some guys prefer to sit versus standing. If you can get used to standing though I think you would have a great mower, less trailer space and can get into tighter spots then a regular zero turn.
i cant wait to get my first wright mower
Another great thing about a stand mover it's less painful to operate If you got hemroids.
That would be true, good point. -Ed
Does it make you feel like Ben Hur? As the saying goes, "Different strokes for different folks." I just can't see an ad on TV, like the one for gutter guards, where I'm not given a hint as to what they cost. One could at least tell us the cost as it compares to something that we know the general price of.
Fully agree
Thanks for watching!
But wouldn't the muffler be right on front blowing carbon monoxide to the face while moving forward??
Because it's low and to the sides it blows around the sides.
Can you elaborate on the part about how stand-on has "fewer moving parts, more efficient, and lighter" ?
True
Dude I use a sit down gravely 5 to 6 hours a day. It's a sit down and I'm glad it is. You probably never mowed a day in your life
I've mowed a lot... but I'm sure you have a few more hours under your belt than I do. -Ed
I love the saving green wright big green. Ninja mower!!!!!!!!!
can you show a video of loading that on a trailer
That's the most fun part lol.
DO BETTER AT SELLS PITCHING.!
I guess that depends on the seat itself, and the way you sit in it.
well standing is great in all but if a lawn guy is doing his job right he will remove all obstacles BEFORE mowing and wont have to get off the machine while cutting and would you rather sit in a corner for 2 hours or stand?
would you rather sit or stand on a surf board?
We just bought a Wright velke today and love it so far. Ive been looking into the standers but have one concern. A lot of our properties aren't flat or have holes/low spots in the yard. My concern is the stander scalping these areas since there is no way to lift the deck while riding. Do you have any advice you can give since most of these customers do not want to fill these in or top dress.
Sitting is much easier if you have lots of low things to mow under.
I’m thinking of starting a landscaping business I would love for this to be the first mower I get where do I get one of these?
-Ed
Wright Commercial Mowers Ok Thank you Ed
Sitting has turned me into a really lazy landscaper lol. Running the trash over has just become easier. I was looking at the 32 today at lowthers in nj does any variation come with a floating deck?
"you can just step off the mower and let it go" and watch $10,000 worth of equipment fall into a lake!
Sure beats going while strapped to it...
That's why you have to be smarter than the manufacturer & disconnect the stupid safety switch
@@lesterhochstedler *OSHA wants to know your location*
I agree with everything but it being cheaper. But would like to get one one day.
Where i can Buy the left transmission for 48” wright zto mower
Stop by any of our listed dealers.
Xmark is the bests we have a stand on John Deere and after 2 hrs my knee feet and back are killing me
where can I get that bucket holder?? can't seem to find it online anywhere
Here are the part numbers. Your Wright dealer parts department can get them.
Part numbers for the Trash Collection Accessory:
95490014 - Stander X and large frame fixed deck Stander
95490015 - Stander I and small frame Stander
95490016 - Newest Velke (non-pistol grip)
95490017 - Newest ZK
Okay, this guy is selling it
Yup, sure am. I believe in it and sell it. -Ed
My drug of choice is coffee :)
Why?
There is no way you can get me to give up my Exmark 60 zero turn for a stand on machine. I have a comfortable suspension seat I get on and off just fine and I can mow faster and get right under trees.
Ethan, That's why we do make Z's. In fact we paid the price of even updated to offering the GRAMMER seat on the MMZ which is one of the best seats out there. -Ed
sweet works good!
Thanks
Stand-ups is for young men. Older men wants to sit down. It is a difference between them. Younger men stand up to be seen. Older men just don't care. Get the job done and get it over with.
Have you ever stood up for 6 hours mowing?? I guarantee you your back is going to hurt more standing for 6 hours than sitting for 6 hours
I do not think I would like to stand up for ten hours mowing, I will stay with my zero turn, Thanks for the info, Great looking machine Lord Bless
You don't know till you try. -Ed
Typically you're not standing for 10 hours you mow along you get off you put it on the trailer you get in the truck and Driver the next location and you do this several times for several accounts so you're not standing for 10 hours a day you have plenty of other times were sitting driving to the next location
Do these have a floating deck
Yes, sure do. -Ed
Did wright really create the first stand on?
We created the first concept machine. Great Dane started production before us based on the sketches in the patent application. -Ed
Wright Commercial Mowers ok cool thanks for responding. I don't even know who great Dane is lol. First time I ever seen a stand on personally was from a grandstand. Just based on visuals as I've never operated a wright mower, your company would be the only company I'd ever consider other then Toro. I can tell by the quality of that deck that you have a sturdy mower, because I am rough on mine that's the most important thing for me
I think truckers need to start standing up while driving......
Good idea! There are some activities best done in a seat, like sitting in church. -Ed
ekujj13 LMFAO
does the mower come with the guy
Sorry, no. -Ed
I tried a standing mower and chose a sitting mower.
Thanks for giving it a go. That's why we make riders too...
Toro's got new suspension seats just sayin
Unfortunately I hear they are in a lawsuit with SCAG and have orders to cease-and-desist...bummer -Ed
I don't have to duck on a sit-down mower as well...haha. Just kidding. Neat concept, but with my knees being an issue with Mr. Author Ities , I need a sit-down. Maybe I can buy the other one someday.
depends what you are mowing but i prefer sitting.
Watch this!!? ruclips.net/video/jOJLx4Du3vU/видео.html
I prefer standing it's easier to get my wallet out when I pay the lawn guy.
Your lawns guys house is bigger than yours. :D
You're missing out on one Heck of a good time.
Can we have an unbiased comparison next time?
Nope. We love to stand. -Ed
And that's why nobody trusts commercials. If I mow acres & acres of lawn everyday, a stander isn't gonna work for me.
they compared two machines that they actually make. seems pretty unbiased. why would a company that also makes sit down ztr mowers do this unless its unbiased. and look at all the companys copying them.
cantbuyrespect I can tell you I wouldn't stand for massive properties on that thing
What about for general consumers, not pros
Maybe I’m wrong here but in this video you seem to be kind of promoting the stand on mower more than the z don’t you want customers to still purchase the z mower of yours because it costs more
We do like to make money, but in the long term we know we have to provide value to be sustainable. We know most people will be safer and make more money on a Stander. -Ed
And that's why nobody trusts these biased commercials. If I mow acres & acres of lawn everyday, a stander isn't gonna work for me.
Hay man! Two back-to-back negative comments? Is this a biased comment? -Ed
Wright Commercial Mowers No this is coming from someone who used almost every brand out there.
what ever trips your trigger. i can hardly walk after after ridding a zero turn for couple of hours a stander makes more sense to me
That can hurt your knees because i Hava a kobota stand on
I thought this was all a bunch of bullshit too until I got a Scag V-Ride 52 inch last week. It's awesome.
Yeah, a lot of folks don't understand until they try standing for a week or so. -Ed
No, I should sit... on a Walker
To each his own! Next time you are in the market, demo one. -Ed
my brother bought a walker mower and i bought a wright stander 36in and i had my brother run my wright for a week and he loved it. he wanted to trade me mower. the wright stander is a great mower too of my friends bought wright mowers because they saw my wright.
If you move one of those 5 gallon buckets beside the driver, they wouldn't have to take bathroom breaks either...
Good idea!
around office building etc maybe but ride on is waaaay better overall , and safer !
To each his own... :(
Wright Commercial Mowers just keeping it real and honest .
KCImages man up and stand home boy and stop crying about it shit i wish they had these mowers back in the days when we worked our asses off.
Cant bag though
You can get an aftermarket grass catcher
then why do you make a sit down mower
We ask ourselves that sometimes...
Hellz yeah! I have a ZK.
+outknumbered Awesome! I'm sure you are getting a lot done with it.
+Wright Commercial Mowers, My brother was a Major in the Marine Corps. He is a Major something for sure....but when he saw my Wright he said, "You know, I've never gotten anything done sitting on my ass."
+outknumbered That's a great way to put it!
36 " stand up efi with a mulching deck or at least a chute blocker , I asked scag fb page the same question ..got no answer
Thanks, Ed
Get one of those old lady things that clamp the stuff so they don't have to move for a rider to pick up stuff it works
i call it a grab stick, & they definitely do work well for trash while using a rider, but for larger obstacles it's still easier to get on & off of a stander.
Dude stop it if u dont like getting off a ryder here and there then ur just lazey lol
that's reality
Sitting is the new smoking...
Yup
I get tired just watching you stand on that mower, have a seat!
the z is tbe way to go there is a reason the pros use them
More and more pros are standing!
We have sit down mowers too...
Can you invent one that you ride... like a horse?? I am an old cowboy.
Um, first stand on? Nope. Excel, Hustler. But that's ok.
Hi Kenny, are you talking about the Shortcut 1500? If I recall they came out in 1998-1999, which was a couple years after we had built our first stand on.
I prefer sitting
We got sit down mowers for you. -Ed
So do women when they pee
1. That would kill my back to mow my three acres standing.
2. Lots of words with out actually demonstrating it.
3. You still build a sit down, why?
1. Don't know till you try. 2. Yeah, true, but check out some of our other videos. 3. Sometimes we wounder too :) there are lots of situations that need unique mowers and some folks really love riders. -Ed
The best way to do it, is let someone else do it!
ya for sure because i love standing for 15 hours a day
You must also like making 25% more money at the end of the day too :)
Buy dixie chopper
No thanks... -Ed
Wright Commercial Mowers I bet a push mower is faster than any of your mowers
Another salesman BS that doesn't know the job 8 HRS standing bouncing up and down very hard on your back spine hips knees.
Sitting in general is over-rated.
Not if your knees are bad
hate stand up mowers they always make my sides hurt badly when i use them
It's actually something you experience when you first use them. After a few days your abs become toned and then no problem.
-Ed
Wright Commercial Mowers ive used it for 2 years
Sadly these things are horrendous in wet grass
Outdoors, They actually do quite well since the weight is low and near the center. We did get some bad rapp back in the day when we started because we had a 36" mower with real thin tires. Now all our 36" mowers have 8.5" wide rear tires!
Wright Commercial Mowers they still don't do well. There is a lawn care company near me that only uses them in dry grass and walkbehinds/ZTs in the wet grass.
BUNCH of BULL!!!!! HIGH CENTER OF GRAVITY! GREATER CHANCE OF ROLLOVER!!
CG is about 2-3" lower. Measured it myself. -Ed
What about the man's head that up higher?
