Thank you for showing them side by side. I was disappointed I missed out on the healing waves tarot. After seeing the comparison I much prefer the ocean tarot and I’m glad I backed that one instead. The healing waves tarot is beautiful, but to me it would compete more with the mermaid tarot by dame darcy and I love the dame darcy mermaid tarot.
i love that this deck connected how these sea creatures act in real life with the meanings of the cards! for example, i like that the wands suits were cephalopods since octopi/squids/cuttlefish are very intelligent and creative creatures and can solve puzzles, or i noticed in the flip-through that the 8 of pentacles is a type of japanese puffer fish that makes designs in the sand to attract a female, which connects to the 8 of pentacles meaning of craftsmanship and commitment! the biology nerd in me adores this deck also PS. pinnipeds are just another name for seals, so you were right!
I LOVE this deck and so glad I bought it!!!! I only have one other ocean oracle deck and I love that one also. I like this deck better than the Healing Waves for sure, so not missing out on that. I prefer no people. Mantarays do camouflage themselves, so that part is actually perfect with the animal represented that they are hard to pick out in the card.
Appreciate the side by side comparison Lisa, thank you! I did re-home my Healing Waves Tarot and I pulled out of the Ocean Tarot but still nice to see them. So many interesting creatures - that Spider Crab though 😫
So glad you did this comparison. I was so sad to hear that I missed out on the Healing Waves but I’ve realized I love the Ocean Tarot more. I do love the pearls for the pentacles in the healing waves , but I adore all the sharks as the swords in the ocean tarot. And the coelacanth as the hermit, brilliant!

I’ve been waiting with bated breath for this deck to come out and it’s everything I wanted and more. I’ve been on the hunt for an ocean deck for years and have yet to find the right one. And now I have it! I enjoyed your side by side. The healing waves never clicked for me but it was cool to see the choices they made next to eachother. Taylor did include and you can also buy separately a pdf guidebook that’s beyond the LWB with color pix as well. I’m a water/ocean baby too, Lisa- so I get it. Thanks for sharing, it was so fun to see your ideas about it! 💜
Really like the vibes from this deck although it definitely feels darker and heavier. That aligns with how I feel about the ocean anyway haha. Was cool to see the side by side comparison. I definitely prefer the absence of people.
I was just looking on Amazon at, Raw, The Cosmic Coven Tarot from Avocado Witch pub. It looks interesting and I can't find a review. I wonder if you have seen it yet?
It’s a beautiful deck, but there’s something very morose dark and melancholy about this deck, so I asked a few readers I know, and they also mentioned the very depressing vibes they felt from the deck, it honestly makes me feel a very sad energy emanating from this, I’m not sure if this deck would be good for those suffering depression, but maybe a deck for shadow work ? I just feel a sad energy from this deck. But great walk through video !

I have already moved my Healing Waves on in preference to this little beauty. It is in my opinion a much more emotionally deep deck.
