- Join Maggie Robertson (voice of Alcina Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village) for a look back at the iconic horror game series ahead of Resident Evil: Requiem's launch on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on February 27, 2026. The latest Resident Evil: Requiem trailer gives a deep dive into the origin of the series from Resident Evil 1 through Resident Evil: Village, its story revolving around the t-Virus and the 1998 Raccoon City Incident, Umbrella Corporation, and its characters, including Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and more.
The trailer also unveils Resident Evil 7 Biohazard: Gold Edition and Resident Evil: Village Gold Edition are coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026, with extra game modes and post-story scenarios. Resident Evil: Village will also feature a third-person gameplay option. We also get another look at Resident Evil: Requiem, including details of the standard edition and deluxe edition of the horror game. Additionally, see details of the Resident Evil Special Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller coming on February 27, 2026. Resident Evil: Requiem's Grace Ashcroft is getting the amiibo treatment, and a Resident Evil: Requiem x Fortnite collaboration is coming.

Yes she is Alcinas voice actor and she absolutly killed it in Village. If i remember corectly, she did had a lot of fun with the character and she has a lot of respect for her fanbase. I really hope that she will voice some other characters in future games as well

I think it's funny that Maggie Robertson is practically the face of Resident Evil now lol. She's been in almost every resident evil trailer or promo at this point. Her character was just that iconic from RE8 that they have to include her in the marketing lol

Real af. RE dabbled with first person a ton before 7. There's the games everyone mentioned before me, Survivor, Survivor 2, Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles. Dead Aim had a hybrid system, 3rd person exploration with 1st person combat (Gaiden technically had the same thing, but it was 2d 😅). CVX had the battle mode, which was first person. Deadly Silence added first person combat segments to the Rebirth mode and had a mini game that was all those segments together.
4 games completely in first person. 2 games with first person combat (tho if you wanna exclude Gaiden, i understand, lol). 2 side modes with first person. At least 7-8 RE games with first person before 7, lmao.
Maggie is the ambassador of RE franchise now. I love it!

I am really waiting for Resident Evil. I do not think I have felt this kind of excitement and happiness for many other games. Resident Evil is a masterpiece, a nostalgia, and a strange and beautiful world that many games have tried to reach or imitate but never could. I truly congratulate the developers and feel happy for all the fans who will experience this masterpiece. The sound design and music are amazing, and the visuals are absolutely stunning. I am sure we are facing something extraordinary. I cannot wait for this game to be released. My special respect goes to all the creators and to all the fans who love this legendary series.
