Wow Topanga, Angela, and Rachel were just flat out cruel to the guys early season 7. I may seem heartless for saying this about Topanga but I really did not like her for what she did to Cory. I understand her for being upset and afraid because of her parents getting divorce but the fact that Cory actually tried to get her parents back together (And did way more before that) and she still tried to leave him. It made her come off more as a petulant child. And how Angela just follows her lead. Think for yourself lady! God gave you a brain and a heart of your own. Use them. She was also as mean as she could be to Shawn until her father straighten her out. As for Rachel she's arguably the worst in my opinion. I mean originally the apartment belonged to Jack and Eric, they let Rachel move in after her boyfriend dumped her, and how does she repay them for their compassion? (Okay they let her move in because she was pretty and they wanted to get with her but it's not like Eric wanted to throw her out when she hooked up with Jack or Jack wanted to throw her out after they broke up) Anyway she repays their kindness by throwing them out when they were the real owners of the apartment. She didn't even consult it with them first. (At least Topanga and Angela had family issues that made their actions understandable) These girls were completely selfish, ungrateful, and none of them considered how Cory, Shawn, Eric, and Jack would feel about their actions. Topanga and Angela didn't think about what Cory and Shawn wanted or how hurt they would feel while Rachel had literally no appreciation for Jack and Eric's kindness. If behavior like this is what is considered a feminist or the independent woman nowadays, then I'd much prefer to live in the dark ages.
Bruhh i thought i was the only one who kept up with this show lol because i was kinda late knew this show... i means especially in the comment section... the way you typed so long about this episode lol... pretty sure they director etc need some drama like this to kept up the show and probably they didn't really think that ppl nowadays would comments about the issues on the show like more deep. Speaking about this show, at the end if i'm not wrong those Topanga, Angela, Lauren changed their minds in the next episodes/clips...you know like people make mistakes and have selfish act sometimes.
This whole season was a dump fire except the wedding , the last episode and maybe a few wedding life episodes. Season 6 and season 7 should have been together considering none of the adults had storylines in 7 like they did in 6. In season 6, Corys parents had another son who almost died could have had a few subplots of having a new baby late in life. Morgan started dating no stories with her nad either Cory or Eric. Feeny found love again with the Dean of Students at college (who are married in real life), could have shown subplots of Feenys getting adjusted to marry life. They brake up Jack and Rachel first episode of season 7.
Topanga, one of the smartest, most rational people in the show "My parents divorced, and I dont want to divorce Cory so Im going to pre-empt this by calling off the wedding and dumping Cory, which is fine you see because its not divorce, its a messy hurtful split between two people who love each other". I know young people make mistakes like this but this feels like a major stretch. Someone like Topanga should be rational enough to understand that sometimes people grow apart, and that not trying to make it work is worse then realizing it wont work any more. Or that nearly all these wedding statistics are about abusive relationships, marriages of pregnancy, or rushed relationships, none of which apply to her and Cory. If youve been basically together for 14 years BEFORE marriage, its highly unlikely to fall apart. In fact, these statistics about the 50% divorce rate also include the fact that the longer a couple waits before sex, and marriage, the less likely they are to split, and that most marriages that fail are ones that happen 2 or so years into a relationship.
Topanga shouldn't have wanted to break off relationship just maybe push wedding back. Topanga was spoiled having two parents in love with each other til that previous summer it was sad she was naive to think parents dont argue
