    Definitely do a collaboration with Emilee (Casual Puzzler) and Vicki (Vicki Makes and Builds). I so enjoy following each one of you. I know the time zones might make it challenging, but whatever you all come up with will be amazing.
    Thank you for doing the Q&A. It was lovely to learn more about you. I always look forward to whatever puzzles you share with us and know the commentary will brighten the day. It’s a gift to live in vibrant color and share that with the world. Too many people live in a state of gray.
    Wishing you more puzzles that are vivid, kitschy, and have wonderful quality. I would definitely be ordering a Diet Coke right along with you. Take care and puzzle happy!

      I don't think the number of puzzles you have determines the hoarding level necessarily. It's the number of years of to-do pile on hand and number to be kept permanently. Asuming some of her 600 are done, then Jubie has maybe a 2-year supply of puzzles on hand to do, perfectly reasonable I think given the prior lockdown situation. It's not like hoarding toilet paper where every roll is virtually identical. It's a small stash of quirky puzzles, a small stash of gradient puzzles, a small stash of cat puzzles, etc. If she did have 600 cat puzzles then maybe it would be concerning 😆 🐈

    No Glue- If you don't plan on taking them apart, simply flip the puzzle over & apply strips of 3" wide packing tape to the back. Simple & takes minutes.Painters tape works well if you want to disassemble later. I select puzzles that make cool wall art and rotate them seasonally using the same picture frames over & over. I've mounted smaller ones to artist canvas with just a few dabs of hot glue. Easy to store collection of finished puzzles in a stack under a bed and slide out when ready to switch them up.

    Loved it! Thanks for answering my questions. I enjoyed hearing about your tattoos even if they don’t have a deep meaning. Also, while I’m re-organizing my puzzles I feel inspired to take a count of my collection - and how many I’ve done and kept vs. how many are on the to-do pile. 600! I’m “gooped and gagged” as the queens would say. And I loved your comment about our little band of fellow puzzle RUclipsrs. Now you’ve got me dreaming of what kind of collab we could get up to one of these days.

      Lol, I'm rather gagged at 600 too! 😭😅 I had actually avoided counting them since I did my collection video last year! But I knew it was going to be a ridiculous amount... the piles sitting on the floor in my spare room definitely told me that! 😆 I'm assuming you have a much more reasonable amount of puzzles in your collection?
      I think it would be really fun to do some sort of collab where a few of us could participate. It could be quite an international collaboration actually!

    I feel like we have the same hobbies! I love true crime, puzzling, RUclips (ofc), and if it weren’t so expensive, Dangerfield would totally be my aesthetic. I’m in Sydney as well, you should join the Inner West Jigsaw Puzzles (even if you’re not from around there), it’s a lovely group!

    • @JigsawJubie
      @JigsawJubie  2 года назад

      Wow! Yes we really do like lots of the same things! 😀 Dangerfield is a bit pricey - I try to wait for things to go on sale but sometimes I just can’t help myself! 🙈🥲
      Do you mean the Inner West group on Facebook that swaps puzzles? I’m part of that group! 🙂 I used to swap quite a bit a year or two ago when I had a lot less puzzles. Although sometimes it drove me a bit bananas as I always seemed to end up getting puzzles with lots of missing pieces! 😅 Now I usually just swap/loan/borrow with a puzzle friend in Sydney every couple months.
      Btw keep an eye out because the online puzzle store Mindconnect Australia who are based in Sydney are planning on hosting a puzzle swap event probably in October. They’ll probably promote it both on FB and Instagram. 😀

    I do my puzzles just once. When I'm done, I turn the pieces over and tape e the back with contact paper. Thus, the image is not damaged and the pieces are stuck together.
    I feel bad about taking apart a puzzle that took me hours to assemble. I feel like I wasted my time. I keep them all in a big drawer, in groups of pieces about the size of a 500-piece puzzle.
    Sometimes I like to take them out of the drawer, put the parts together and look at them assembled.
    I even set up a small exhibition for my nieces with all my puzzles assembled.
    (it can be a very time

    • @JigsawJubie
      @JigsawJubie  2 года назад

      That's a good idea to use contact paper to stick the puzzle together.
      I guess for whatever reason I don't feel bad taking puzzles apart again. I do usually take photos though so I can share them on Instagram. It's interesting how everyone is different when it comes to puzzles.
      That's really sweet of you to set up an exhibition for your nieces! What a lovely, fun idea! 😊

    That was so much fun to watch! It’s lovely to know you a little better 😃 you’ve made me want to do a q&a now! I have thought about it in the past, but was worried that I might not get many questions! 😍
    Also thanks for answering my question - Apple cameras are getting so advanced aren’t they? - the quality is brilliant 😍.
    I am 100% with you on how great it is to be part of the RUclips puzzling community - I haven’t met any of them in person, but I really feel like I’ve made new friends through doing the puzzling channel. Also, I would gladly collaborate with you - I’ve often wondered about doing that, but honestly don’t really know how to go about it…Any ideas? (Laughed out loud at the “nudge, nudge, wink, wink” bit 😆)

    • @JigsawJubie

      So glad you enjoyed it! It was a lot of fun answering all the questions and sharing a bit more about myself with everyone! 😀 Yes! You should totally do a Q&A video too! I'm sure people will have lots of questions for you and be interested in knowing more about you. 😊
      I'm always so impressed with how good the cameras are in iPhones these days - it really is amazing. It kinda makes me feel that the only real reason to get another camera for filming is purely for convenience, not for better quality! 😅
      I think a collaboration could be really fun! The Casual Puzzler (Emilee) and I were chatting a bit about this a while ago and she suggested a scavenger hunt where we have to find puzzles with certain things/items in them. Or even some sort of race where we time ourselves doing the same puzzle. I was thinking even some sort of friend tag video could work - where one of us comes up with a bunch of puzzle questions and we can each do our own video answering the same questions... although it might have some Q&A overlap I guess! But would work well with a few of us.
      I guess let me know if you think of anything too. I'm tempted to start a group chat sometime over on Instagram where a few of us RUclips puzzlers could chat about this sort of thing. 🙂

    • @fellowpuzzler
      @fellowpuzzler 2 года назад +3

      @@JigsawJubie If I may suggest a few ideas for a collaboration. Emilee from The Casual Puzzler had a video a while ago about a puzzling bingo card where each square contained a mini puzzling challenge such as doing a round puzzle, doing a puzzle with hot air balloons in it, etc. One idea would be to create one in collaboration with one or more RUclips puzzlers and make videos where you pick one mini challenge, show a few puzzles that match the criteria, choose one puzzle and assemble it. You could then take turns filling the squares until the card is full.
      You could also do something similar with a tic-tac-toe board but that would be limited to 2 players.
      Another idea would be to make a list of puzzling challenges, pick one at random for a collaborator to do. After completing the challenge, it would be their turn to randomly select a new challenge for you to do. This could involve more than two RUclips puzzlers as well.
      It might also be fun to crowd source challenge ideas from your viewers and share the card/list so we can all join in the fun.
      Cheers.

    Lots of interesting questions there. At one time I used to keep jigsaw puzzles but not any more, just don't have the space to hoard them. I keep a few old favourites plus any Wentworth jigsaws that I have otherwise all other jigsaws I do get passed on to my local book & puzzle exchange for others to enjoy. I currently have around 40+ jigsaws awaiting my attention as it is. Just in the middle of doing Gibsons Mr Men and LIttle Misses 1000 piece jigsaw. The next one is a puzzle within a puzzle, a round one inside a square one. I'm trying hard not to buy any more for the moment!! 🧩🧩🧩

    • @JigsawJubie
      @JigsawJubie  2 года назад

      That's fair enough! I'm sure if I had less room there would be no way I could have this many puzzles! I think that's nice that you only hang onto the ones you really love and pass on the rest for other people to enjoy. 😊 I'm trying to buy less puzzles (not going all that great at the moment! 😅) and be a bit more thoughtful/selective about what I do buy. And I'm being a bit more ruthless with what I'm deciding to keep. I've currently got some declutter piles that will be in a video soon then those puzzles will be donated, given away, sold, etc. 🙂
      Oh I haven't seen that Gibsons puzzle before - that sounds super fun though! 😀 And your next puzzle sounds really intriguing too! By the sounds of it you have some very nice puzzles in your collection.

    Hey Jubie! 👋 That was a lot of fun!
    When I saw your video last week, and you mentioned about sending in questions, my thought was, "I'm pretty sure I have questions, but they're not in my brain right now, so where are they?" 🤔 🧠 🤷‍♀️
    I didn't find them (pretty typical for my skull contents 🤷‍♀️), but I was glad to see that others knew what these questions were. 😁
    I was kind of surprised that there wasn't a larger gap between your puzzle count and mine (I'm creepin' 400). Having said that, my number includes a bunch that I want to get rid of but haven't gotten around to doing it, and your number doesn't include your on-the-way-out puzzles, so I think the difference really is more what I expected. Why am I telling you all of this? 🤷‍♀️ Yup, don't know.
    I'm not going to hit all of the interesting topics that just happened, but one other highlight that my brain grabbed was tattoos. Nope, don't have any (um, I don't think the ink left over from surgery counts, but it's there). I just related to your response, because whenever I've thought about getting one (although I hear one is not a thing), the motivation is just art. Skin is just a cool, personal canvas for art. 💪 🎨 🤷‍♀️
    And I do realize that I overuse the shrug emoji as much as I abuse parenthetical comments (🤷‍♀️), but normally I keep the extra shrugs in my head. Couldn't do it this time. Had to let my shrug flag fly.
    Aaaanyway, thanks again for a great video, Jubie! 🙏 👍 📹 Have a good weekend, and I look forward to seeing you next week! 😀

    • @JigsawJubie
      @JigsawJubie  2 года назад

      Yay! So glad you enjoyed it! I was hoping people might enjoy something a little different than what I usually do. 😀
      Ha ha! That's ok! I'm sure I'll have another Q&A eventually plus you're most welcome to always ask me anything anyway! 🙂
      400 is quite the collection too! You know what's scary though... it took less than a year to get from 300 (ish) puzzles (when I counted them for my puzzle collection video last year) to 600+ that I have now! I'm already looking at the next pile of puzzles for my August haul video wondering where they're all going to go! Oh, and how and when I'm going to get to do them all! 😭😅
      Oh - I hope you're doing ok after surgery. 💖
      Yes, I think that's how I see tattoos too, they are art and for me a form of self expression. Interestingly though I rarely (purposefully) show them off. Most of the time I have them covered and go out of my way to wear long sleeves in the sun as I don't want them to fade. Although realistically I'm probably a bit paranoid about that as the amount of time I spend in the sun is minimal and close to vampire levels. 😂
      I say shrug away! I am a constant abuser of parentheses as demonstrated above. Oh and I definitely overuse dashes too... and the word definitely. 😁

      No, I don't end up setting a budget. I usually just have a stern lecture to myself about not needing more puzzles and just hope for the best! As you can tell, it's not going so great! 🥴😂 Although I am trying to be a lot more considerate now with my puzzle purchases, and not just buying every pretty puzzle I see. I do visit second hand stores from time to time but haven't had much luck! Not sure if people just don't donate decent puzzles or if I just time my visits badly. I do however swap and loan/borrow puzzles with other puzzlers locally which is a great way to try lots of puzzles. 😊

      Do you prefer to look at the box when puzzling? Or does it vary depending on what puzzle image you're working on?

      @@JigsawJubie thank you! Yeah been doing html/CSS about 20 years now way too long haha, so now I manage a team of developers too. But still code here and there ☺️
      It has varied with me so far, I am currently trying the Panda puzzle in the Heye dreaming series and even looking at the box finding it so hard 😰 mostly I have been starting off not looking but then look if I need to or if I just have no idea where in the picture a piece goes! I like the idea of challenging myself to not look too, like you say the Wasgji ones would be good for that. (I also have no idea how to say that by the way LOL).

      I guess when it comes to looking or not looking at the box lid while puzzling, my mantra is 'do what you enjoy and makes you happy'... or maybe it should be 'look at the box lid if you're not lazy like me' ha ha! 😆
      I guess it could be fun to try a Wasgij puzzle or something similar. Although I'm not a huge fan of their cartoon style. There's a US brand called Different puzzles (I think) that I'd like to try and they have some fun designs with the end picture being slightly different to what's on the box lid.

    Such a nice video! I'm curious to know, do you have a partner? If so, are they also into puzzling and how do they feel about your 600+ puzzle collection? Mine is not to keen! Best regards a fellow puzzle and drag race lover

      Thank you - glad you enjoyed it! 😀 Yes, I'm married. My husband is not at all into puzzling - only very occasionally will work on a puzzle with me... but I usually just end up getting frustrated at him for 'not puzzling right'! 😂😂 He wasn't (and still isn't) very keen on my puzzle hoard...collection? But now that I'm making RUclips videos about puzzles he seems to be more accepting and also helps me with filming too which is great! He is however very supportive of my puzzle declutters though! 😅
      Ooh glad to find a fellow Drag Race watcher! Are you watching any of the seasons currently?

    Thank you for answering my questions! (jgrogan678) this was a great video to watch. I completely agree with you about Ceaco, I’ll only buy them in 300 pc now after being so disappointed by the quality. Also, I don’t drink coffee either, which is apparently weird, lol.

      So glad you enjoyed it and thank you for sending me your questions too! They were a lot of fun to answer! 😀
      It's such a pity about Ceaco since they really do have a lot of nice images. Must be frustrating for anyone who likes Disney puzzles too since they release so many. I have some of their 2000 piece puzzles in my collection which I got before realising how much I don't enjoy their puzzles... so not sure how that's going to go! 😅
      It's always so awkward when people invite you out for a coffee... I guess I'll have tea? 😆
