That's interesting! I found I focused on the triggers that weren't pink, since they stood out more compared to the pink gloves! It's cool that our reasons for focusing on various things both applied to the glove color!
Oooo!!! Congrats!!! My advice would be… hmm… say yes to opportunities to meet folks and see new things! Ask a lot of questions, soak up all the culture… and try to put yourself in other people’s shoes as much as possible! Perspectives are so different in each country, so maybe something that you find weird they’d be totally cool with, and/or vice versa. Also as a rule of thumb (even when traveling I do this) but I remind myself I’m a guest and I need to be extra courteous! It’s a lot of responsibility, but learning how to assimilate in another culture is something most western folks don’t tend to do (let’s face it, most would say that the world needs to accomodate *them*) so showing that you’re up for the challenge of trying new things and trying to learn the language and customs/traditions is really really nice!! 🤍🤍🤍 Best of luck to you!!!!
From personal experience, try your best to use spanish as much as you can! Even if you only know three words of spanish, are worried you might be misspronouncing things, excettera! the locals will really appreciate the effort and will be far more open towards you x
