I did this job in TX, my landlord's son owned the route. I started merchandising a Walmart and HEB supermarket and 4 Sonics. Then I started driving delivering to 9 schools and the county jail. I absolutely loved working for Bimbo, particularly doing the schools and the jail.
Really depends on the size of the route and area I have a small route with only 3 commercial account and 1 cash stop and make around 90k. Then you have big routes with 10-15 stops making 200k -300k a year.

i think the main difference is a route owner pays for everything from the truck to insurance where working as a company sales driver all of that is supplied for you
Bread guys make anywhere from 60k up to 100k a year my co worker makes 105k a year but he does a lot of work for it. Dont be fooled it sounds easy until you actually do it it’s not hard work but it definitely is a lot of work
Entemans is owned by Bimbo bakeries. So everywhere in the world all the Entemans is supplied by Bimbo and stocked by Independent Business Partners (IBP’s) that are contracted by Bimbo.

I believe majority if not all routes in California are company owned so you can't buy a route there. But can be a bimbo employee.
