Listening to Eren's "tatakae" again I realized that it was just him wanting to fight the urge to give up on his plan, but knowing that no matter how difficult it was, it was the only way to keep the entire Paradis island safe.
3:07 Eren opening his eyes when Mikasa shows up is such a bittersweet detail. Just like how Eren opens his eyes, in the whole Rumbling, only when Mikasa was about to behead him.
