I'm surprised by the degree of human involvement in what I thought would be an almost completely automated process.

That's the thing with automated processes. There's way more human involvement than we tend to think
I think sometimes they find factories with more human involvement to make for an interesting show but I’m sure other factories have different processes.

all factory work is hell. doing the same thing on the assembly line every day makes your body break down even faster, plus long hours and low pay.

The rubber bands were satisfying to watch. Thankfully I didn't experience the anxiety that so many of you wrote about because of the one band that remained intact.
However, I have seen several videos of the work it takes to make rubber bands....so watching their hard work being destroyed so easily, made my heart hurt a little for them.
At least by destroying so many of the bands in one fell swoop, the workers have job security. 😂🥰❣️
