Really solid double kick. I feel like so many gospel drummers learned how to do awesome fast kick stuff with single pedals, but this cat has his feet so dang even, you can tell it's something he has practiced. The final take is SOLID. Great episode.

I get the vibe they were going for with the the basic straight-ahead drum parts, but Jonathan's part was a lot more fun, and it would kill in a live show. I can see the War Pigs similarity. They both have those big pauses to create tension. War Pigs would be a great song to drop on a drummer, btw.

“You really did metal” is a wild statement to hear for me, the youth group band he was in was a bunch of scene kids. Thats all they played after service ended 😂 he was in a killswitch engaged cover band a long time ago. Most of my memories of him playing were metal songs.
I've watched all of these. I think my only suggestion would be that there's a description giving a link to the drummers that are featured. To be fair, I might just be blind and not seeing it, but just making it easier for the viewers to click a link to their pages would be way more convenient for us. Killing it with the channel, though. I love this.

The time signatures of their songs are not for a weak. It would be very very impressive to see what a gospel drummer would rock on that.
