this song saved my life. i remember when i was really sad and depressed. then i listened to this song and when i heard the lyric, "we are a lighthouse burning on" my heart was filled with such happiness that i mowed my neighbors lawn at 2 o clock in the morning because i wanted to share my happiness. thank you telle. i fucking love you.
Why would anyone hate a song with such a beautiful meaning? A song that helps people feel they’re going to be okay when they’re not doing okay. This band has helped me through so much pain in my life for years. I can’t begin to say how much I owe them.

it's insane how the feeling really hit us when we listen to this after a long time. I feel like I'm 15 again. I really miss those days
Im not a fan of heavy music in the slightest but this song has just grown on me. I cant understand how people don't see how the song and video relate. She doesn't just drown in the sea i see it as she is committing suicide and the poor lad who is madly in love with her saves her life. The song is saying you dont have to choose that option as there is always something good to look forward to in life and to just keep going on. As the meaning 'lighthouse' saves peoples lives by shining a light in the ocean it relates to the saying 'there is always a light at the end of the tunnel' also as my close friend who is a massive fan for the word alive this type of 'slow' song was the type of songs they brought out when they first ever started as a band.
All I have to say is goosebumps and chills. Meeting Tyler at warped tour this year was definitely a defining moment in my life! He's such an inspiration for me!

Saw these guys live, and they sounded just as awesome if not even better on stage! I loved that this was one of the songs they did, one of my favorites.
Sure this is softer than most of their tunes, but damn if this song doesn't kick ass live. Singing this with the crowd was magical.

Too many critics with zero credentials bitching in the comments. These boys are mega talented and I have nothing but respect and support for a band that likes to evolve and grow.
I think it's incredibly important and admirable that they put out a song like this. Not only because it has a really good meaning, but because it's important they can show that they can make music that doesn't sound like their usual. They tried something different, and it worked. This song is good.

One of the greatest out there! i remember watching Luke holland befor he was ever with The word alive, and then i found out he of all people! I was like hell yea what are the chances!!! But to everyone talking shit. So much for being a fan. But listen up they have to make music for all the different types of fans out there, not just the one. Its because of all the fans they are where they are now. Just because they dont make every single song on the album sound exactly the same doesnt mean a damn thing. Where is ur music video's?! Where is ur bands and fans?! Didnt think so. So pay respect when its due. And be happy someone has made it..... Why is everyone calling this band pop punk just cause of this one song? listen to the whole album, not much pop punk. And also people say they are super generic now, but all deceiver was, was heavy breakdowns. (which was super common at the time) I'm super happy with what they've evolved into.
