Coevorden is a city in the province of Drenthe, the Netherlands. Coevorden received city rights in 1408. The city was then reconstructed in the 17th century to a city design, which was similar to Palmanova. Coevorden has polygonal fortifications. The city has a population of 35,000.
Coevorden may have given its name to the Canadian city of Vancouver (van Coevorden).

Yes I was surprised. I didn't like Emmen but this was a nice place. Although quit cold and wet now in The Netherlands.
