It looks like a nice area Captain…as long as working class people live there usually try to keep the neighborhood as good as possible…Your dog is precious…Mary
All the Way club's newest member! BTW, Frankford Creek is the dividing line between Notheast Philly and North Philly and is also the dividing line between Frankford and Juniata. I grew up at Kensington and Adams Ave. and Deal St. is the bottom of the Northeast. Cross the creek and you're in North Philly. I worked at the 7-11 at "K" and Luzerne for 2 years after high school from March of '86 to March of 88. I enjoy your videos. Yea, I know I'm 2 years late.
Hey Im new here. I made it all the way. Enjoying your vids, I live in New Zealand and we have the same problems just on a smaller scale. Give Rick the puppy a big hug from me. 😉😇🐶🐕🐶
Made it all the way. Some parts still looked a little decent. I don’t recognize Erie Avenue at some spots anymore. Moved there at three months old, stayed and married and raised my kids there. Moved away in 19996. So, in the 25 yrs I have been gone, the area has really changed. You never made the walk as far as where I lived. But it was interesting, yet sad, to see how everything has changed. Your Rick The Puppy is well behaved.
Part of the All The Way Club! Dude - you channeled my entire childhood on this walk. I grew up on the block of Bennington that you walked down and my childhood was all of these streets and walking to the schools and busses and that area you started with Septa and the El. I walked along with you and it was complete nostalgia. I haven’t lived there in 20+ years but it was like yesterday hanging out on this walk with you 😃. Thank you so much for this. The Old Neighborhood has changed a bit but it still felt like home on “our little walk together” with Rick the Puppy. Have a good one Man and I’ll check out the rest of your stuff!
Hey PHILLY CAPTAIN, great walking around Juniata video with RICK the PUPPY...Yes, I MADE IT ALL THE WAY and I am part of the ALL THE WAY CLUB...Later on and TOODLES...
Are used to live behind the bowling alley back in the 70s earliest 80s and they used to be a great neighborhood I went to my old neighborhood back in 2014 in the house that I used to live it closed down I remember I used to go to Wawa to buy sandwich, ham and cheese for me to go to work wow 150,000 now and when we bought the house we paid $25,000 and it was a great neighborhood not drugs at all
Made it all the way! Thanks for this. Grew up on K street, now living in Florida. Still miss it, believe it or not after 27 years. It doesn’t seem as bad when you’re too young to know any better.
I've gotten tickets for having trash out too early. Usually it's because you're days early - i.e., you put it out on Sunday, and Trash day is Tuesday. If you put it out just early the day before (i.e., 9AM on Monday, instead of 5PM), then you don't usually get a ticket. It's possible, but not very likely ....
I was born and raised in Juniata. Grew up there 1987 till about 2006. Wow this brought back so many memories captain. The beginning of video plaza first store used to be a blockbuster loved that. Crazy too you saying it's a lower class working, when I grew up there it was the neighborhood to be, good money in there. It changed so much from the Carl mackley apartments ☹️
You turned right before you got to our first married house, and also my parents’ house I grew up in. It was interesting to see the parts of the neighborhood you toured as I haven’t been there since my mom moved out 20 years ago.
I made it all the way through. I live in Juniata brought my house 24 years ago I watched it go from the best place to live to one of the worst place’s trash day is Tuesdays but sometimes they don’t pick it up till Wednesday everyone double parks all the time and never get tickets it’s like driving and obstacle course around here the shooting are getting worse all the stores close really early now because they were getting robbed all the time the 24TH police are too busy in Kensington to help here it is a mess
You should show some of the nice areas of Philly too. There are places in the northeast and northwest, that if you didn't know any better, you'd think you were in the suburbs. Though I guess they'd make for boring videos, and everyone here wants to see the hood.
Im watching this captain and i agree idk how the hell in even 5 yrs regular ppl are suppose to live in this country? I mean i have a friend who works as a restaurant.manager and her husband works for AT&T and seriously.here in st louis they had to move from like an average neighborhood where they rented a house to a small ass apt in the hood cause they raised the rent on their house ro like 3500 a month. And that neighborhood wasnt THAT great. Now they live in the hood and its still 1500 a month for a 2 bedroom and their cars get broke into. He hates it. I mean shit u can wrk ur ass off and still have to live dangerously. Its crazy. I made it till end btw. Welcome to america. Maybe i shld get on drugs for free rent lol just kidding.I cant imagine tents r that warm in winter.
Adis is from Germany my friend n it hasnt much changed my dad told me since it opened around 1920 or around there - 'watch this mate eh 'its really interested 'i just came across it the other day 'its how it all started. - ruclips.net/video/Kzy1G3VK4vY/видео.html - my dad said when he was a little boy in Germany they sat down back then also the cash register ppl n the counters were basically set out the same also. and why there is Aldis n Adlis north. Aussies love there Aldis too eh haha. Anyway have a good day buddy n cheers for the video.
Yep you can tell you're in a low income neighborhood in Chicago you're going to see a Auto Zone,Pep Boys,a Dollar Tree,a Rent A Center, and Liberty Tax Center
Love the Channel, My old Neighborhood. Juniata means " Standing Stone" in Lenape Indian.
I made it all the way! Enjoy your vids man. Your stories are hilarious. Keep up the good work and be safe.

Great pleasure to take a walk with you and your wonderful dog. Thanks for sharing your positive spirit and clever wit!
My grandparents use to live on Claridage street in Juniata. Such a different time
I grew up in Juniata very sad. What happened to that area. That Texas used to be a white castle. And that city blue used to be a blockbuster video.
Made it all the way. Awesome vids Captain.

Ne still. The Spanish way to pronounce it is, Wuoneeda. Lol jk
No, the Capitan says it like the Philly natives say it. It may not be "correct", but that's what we say ... Yep, I'm an All the Way Club LOL
Yes we do. I have family in Juniata right on Lawndale. I was just trying to do funny. 😎
I think it's a native American name not spanish. Idk I'm too stoned to get it right. Lol
Check out my Channel Mike. I hike in Pennypack Park. I'm there about 3 days a week.
No. It's northeast.
