I love the set up with drop front boxes a lot of guys have on sneaker yt but I just hate to give up my boxes and don't have room to store them all. I have been downsizing my collection a bit as well so the setup I have is not to bad.
If someone were to really dedicate the time to install the drop sides and they want to keep the original boxes, you can flatten the original boxes for easier storage.

How do u clean the windows on the drop sides? U think windex would be okay?
Never had to do it yet but I’d imagine windex is fine or just take a microfiber towel and wipe
I seen you say that you can fold your shoe boxes to not have to throw them away but save space do you have a video of this or where can you find that information?
Don’t have a video on it. There should notches in your boxes you can flip out and remove to be able to fold them down. Just work carefully so you don’t tear. Each era box folds differently.

Store them away. There’s also a way to break them down so they fold up nicely. I won’t be doing this to every single pair. Just pickups for now.

@@mjo23dan I'm unsure due to not knowing what the midsole is made out of.
My 2002 j7 Raptors are still wearable.
And I still wear my 2004 j2 Chicago, and 2005 j5 stealth.
But I obviously don't know how the seller has kept his shoes over the years.

@@TheRetroManRandySavage if you’ve been wearing the 7s then it might still be ok. That particular midsole I rarely see crack but the interior may no longer have the air sole intact. The 18 has a TPU carrier which becomes sticky and brittle over time. It’s just real sketchy wearing them these days due to age over time.
@@mjo23dan I'd worn some 2003 j8 low chrome a few months back. And the inside had crumbled around the air unit. 🤔

The sneaker throne should have been made with a way to hide the l.e.d. lighting and just give off the glow, too exposed in my opinion. But kool none the less.

I still keep them. I have another closet for storage.
What do you like better the dropside or the Throne 2.0?
I like both honestly but the Throne 2.0 I like best. If you have a sick display to show off or be proud of, the lights really set it off and you can stack them. The drop sides have a lot of room to store and the magnetic is easy to open and close. Can’t go wrong with either!
@@mjo23dan maybe I’ll do 2 of each. I don’t really care for the LEDS that’s not gonna make or break me. I ordered something similar to the drop sides from sneaker united $400 for 20 and they were so cheap I sent them back. Dropsides look similar so I just hope they are not as cheap and fall apart when you pick them up and move them.

Don’t get me wrong Dan, it’s your Only choice what and when..Just My Own experience lately is: I keept my XII Cherry’s in a box for a 5-6 years and when I took it out last year to use it..Outsole was start to fall apart from the upper and cracks…🤦🏼..But I learned from that..I wish I wore them more before this happened………
No worries. A lot of times I buy doubles or triples to rock or sell. I make the money back doing videos so it’s not a thing. If I decide to hang it up someday, everything will get sold so I do also see it as an investment opportunity instead of spending the time trying to break necks. Shoe collecting, card collecting, sneaker collecting is what I like to do. If I so happen to wear something, it’s because it’s my choice to.
