- Grisha performing in San Bruno in March of 2010. His performances are getting more and more musical as he matures as a great artist. His technique, as always, is flawless and the music is at his command.

"Grisha s version better than Manolo...". NO WAY. Manolo would play all his stuff relaxed, like Vicente Amigo or Paco, who are the true composers of his songs and develop them in a natural way. Grisha would never beat Vicente Amigo because Vicente Amigo s songs are insane by nature plus he grew up in the flamenco style. Copying is hard, and Grisha knows it, because you are not just copying, you are trying to copy a style that developed in ways that Grisha would never know. All that said, i admire Grisha, cause he is an excellent interpreter of flamenco overall, but no way better than paco,manolo,vicente or tomatito, the true composers. Maybe you can develop your technique more than them, but you would never catch the feeling they do when they play.
Better than Manolo Sanlucar?... He is technically amazing, but he has no understanding of what he's playing, he puts accents when he doesnt have to and dont put them when he must... Not in 1000 years he'll be even close to PdL, Manolo or Vicente Amigo. Listen to Grisha's bulerias... no understanding of the rythm
dont forget grisha is 60% flamenco and 40% classically trained. Classical guitar is very different from Flamenco. he is very versatile. also take into account that he is not of gypsy/spanish origin, he was studying flamenco from an early age from the sources available to him in the Soviet Union, bare in mind there was limited access to flamenco material at that time.
