    Nice to hear someone else appreciate the engine braking of a 4t for trail riding. Stretching a gear coming into a corner, just letting off the throttle is enough rear brake. And if u dont like it or want more flow, just turn the idle up a bit and it goes away

      It’s a pretty great bike. It does it all really well. I’m very very impressed by this machine and engine.

    2:10 The 300 SEF is actually lighter than the 300 2T you have right there.
    Definitely agree with you on the engine, it is THE single track weapon.
    I've had two of them before, and now trying a 2 stroke, which is awesome for technical riding, but I still love the 300 4T more for single track
    6:55 Be very careful refitting the air filter.
    It's not hard to fit it crooked and have it not seal, especially given the total lack of room around it and having to roll it on the side to get it in the air box.
    Definitely remove a side panel and confirm the lower edge is in place before riding 👌
    (I'm told by Sherco that an update on the design is planned for a future revision of the bikes)

    Just got a 2023 model. Love it. Good power and suspension. Hard choice as had the 250se but for me the SEF 300 my choice

    Have the 2020, the most fun 4t I have ever owned. I would recommend going to 50t in rear from 48t. You nailed it, so light and nimble. I'm not so sure the power is that different from 300 TPI. I saw a Dyno on a Husky and I think it was 38 HP? Anyway, not sure why people don't like the idea of a 300 4T other than they think it's under powered. Also, you can change out the silencer SA insert to the short one. That and the sprocket change will give you a little more bottom end.

      Yes indeed I definitely plan to swap to a 50 tooth ddc sprocket and I’m also working on tuning this bike up. I have the dealer computer programs and the diagnostic and tuning software so I’ll be adding some more power all around.

      @@maksikkarenduro9218 didn't know you could do something like that! That would be awesome

      @@TorqueDorque That’s what I do I tune bikes. I wrote the tuning software for KTM TPI 2 stroke fuel injection tunes we do. And we’re the only ones that can truly custom tune them. I’ve been tuning race cars and trucks for many years. Holly, fitech, hp tuners, haltech and many custom ecus and ecu programs as well. Now I just tune dirt bikes

    Hey. Great review. Thanks.
    I am seriously looking at this bike for hare scramble. I tried one the other day but felt that the engine was a little bit mellow. Have you been successful at bringing a little bit of more life into it?

    I briefly test road a sef 500 and the engine breaking really felt strange to me like as soon as you let off it's naturally slowing down big time. Honestly wasn't a fan of it overall. Guess it could be a good thing once you get use to it.
    Have you ever ridden the 450 or 500 sef? Also any thoughts on the 2023 KTM 350 XC-F factory edition?

    Given that you have both the Sherco 300 2T & 4T, which model do you have more fun on?

    • @maksikkarenduro9218
      @maksikkarenduro9218  2 года назад +4

      That’s hard to answer. The 2t is my extreme bike but it does everything from, track, trail, trials, easy, medium and extreme enduro, and does the endurocross track pretty great as well. The 4t is so much fun as well very playful and light feels the exact same as my 2t but it’s got that 4 stroke sound. It’s more fun on the endurocross track, and I haven’t motocrossed it yet but I would be fun for that as well. I’m a 2t guy though mix gas and kick ass. So i have to say the 2T characteristics are my favorite but that being said it’s doesn’t win by much because this sherco 4t is so so much fun. If you can’t buy both the 2t of you can afford both get them both. But if your a gncc enduro guy the 4 stroke 300 is an absolute weapon and when it comes to flat out single track around my property I’m 30 seconds faster on the 4t no break needed it’s engine brake it like a Cummins exhaust brake. It’s a really really badass bike and so far my all time favorite 4 stroke engine ever made and I’ve ridden and raced a lot of 4strokes.

    Thoughts on the 450R Sherco ? Looking to harescramble / moto.

      @maksikkarenduro9218  2 года назад

      Haven’t rode the 450 but the 300 would be a harescramble weapon. It begs you to push it harder and then you do and it wants to be ridden even harder. The confidence on the trails and especially flowy single track is insane. Never had a 4 stroke act this way. But yeah it’s an amazing bike.

      I just bought one 2021 450 SEF and I came from a WR450 and can say that these are just an awesome bike- plus you have a 6 speed. Just a great experience
