Your best so far. You should have started at this video..... another tip is that you make a seat pan plate to fit under your seat. Turn your wire speed down on your mig. Oh and please don't use gloves with bench grinders or bench sanders as you can easily lose a finger in the gloves to the grinder/sander......... if you dud a basic engineering course you would learn alot of safety stuff that you don't seem to know, which js not your fault if you've never been shown
Thanks for this - yes, it would have been the easy video to start with, but there are hundreds of these videos and this is not a slammed build, this is a Fifties build, slammed build is likely to happen after. So many skills - thanks for the reminder on the bench grinder - I did know that but I so rarely use the bench grinder that I'd forgotten which isn't good on safety, might have to write a note! Skäl David
It was good, but about the same as riding a sprung seat on a fully rigid frame, so not for the faint hearted. This type of seat bolted straight to the frame is more what I'd expect to see on a bar hopper build rather than a practical every day ride - which isn't to say that some don't ride them every day and long distances.
well sir !! thats a thing, remember i said about doing it hugging the frame etc etc...i actually much prefer the sprung seat !! you totally changed my mind ..cheers David looking forward to more 50s style now ..top job peace and love brother 👍😏
Ha! I like them all. And I especially like being able to change the look and feel of the bike on a whim. Keep well. Will be upon Scunnie on Thursday but sadly for a funeral so no fun on that trip! Skäl. David
Yeah, slammed is very much the current trendy style. Lifted springy look is what the Fifties Harley’s had which is what the Dragstar is a direct copy of. I like both and the great thing is that you can have both looks with the same bike. 👍
Hey Abel, thanks for that. Great bikes aren’t they? 👍 Sadly I don’t know because they came on the bike and appear unmarked. I will double check the paperwork and if I find anything I will let you know. Skäl. David
Thanks Dave. Not sure what I’m up to next weekend. I have a funeral end of the week up North and I’m trying shake off a cold so will need to see. Would be good to get out though.
The seat looks great 👍 👌 very clean look
Thanks, much appreciated

Nicely done David. However, for me the seat pan needs to be bigger the present one looks to small in comparison to the tank.
Funnily enough, it was the larger seat size and it’s the same width as the stock seat, but it does look small.
Great video, good results! So, how was it on the test ride? Comfortable?

Looks great, nice one 👍🏻 are you out for Brightona next Sunday 14th?
Thanks Dave. Not sure what I’m up to next weekend. I have a funeral end of the week up North and I’m trying shake off a cold so will need to see. Would be good to get out though.
Moto Mirius Sorry to hear that, I’ve been bad since friday night too 😡
Hopefully I will see you Sunday. I need to get out on the bike just for fun for a change.
