Fully relate to having tension between families and getting to know different families. I found it really hard as I don’t get on with my dads side. Also I have depression so I struggled with the change and it was quite a big change due to there being 4 other kids just on one side of the family😅
Ads are boring
The relationship guard thing makes PERFECT sense to me. As someone with anxiety and in recovery from an eating disorder, putting up a guard can be a way of controlling situations. Not in a nasty way at all but if you take control by not letting people in, it feels safer because the outcome is certain- you won’t end up in a relationship. Just something to think about xxxxxxxx
Honestly it is NOT at all boring to listen to friends that are dating and have wild adventures like Im here for the tea while I was in a relationship AND while Im single and literally allergic to men xx

Vienna has been my most listened to song recently too, it’s really helped me with life at the minute and i totally feel you on the show down part. Ben Platt’s cover of it from The Politician is absolutely stunning and it’s been really helping me recently. So lovely to know someone is feeling the same way I am 💘

I love how passionate you are about Billie Joel! A lot of the time music is our best friend throughout the good and the bad. I'm the same with Green Day, I found them when I really needed them and they're still my favourite. They mean a lot to me and no one can ever take that away.

I literally relate so much about backing out of possible relationships. To me it doesn’t feel right or I don’t want to get hurt or I start thinking really negatively about everything or purposely push them away and it worries me that I won’t change and I’ll always be like this, it really concerns me :/
It's the same for me, I'm aware of what I'm doing but it's not like I can control it and it really scares me as well. I'm actually terrified of never finding anyone I like enough to NOT do it. You're not alone xx

Lol, same here! The closest I got to a talking stage was a guy with a girlfriend leading me to believe he was going to leave her for me, and then ghosting me and running back to her 🙄😂

Eve you just get me! Especially the running away when a boy likes you thing is something I a l w a y s do. I always feel bad about it (I literally cannot help it though lol) but I feel so much better knowing that there are people out there struggling with the same things and insecurities. xx
I know there are many people with bigger problems than me. I mean I can’t complain I am healthy, my family and loved ones are healthy , I have a home food and clothes and the luxury of being able to buy things that aren’t essential. I was lucky enough to go on holiday shortly ( literally the week before the world went crazy.) However, I do feel a bit like fate hates me, it’s the first time in my life( I’m only 19 and finished school last year.) that I have the money to go where I always wanted to go and know this happens. But I know that even if I cannot go on holiday this year ( this isn’t even impossible yet.) I still have so much time and I can go a few months later . But this situation really feels like a punch in the face. I think it’s because no one has ever experienced anything like this. But what freaks me out most is that in the media people portray the situation like they’re happy and not at all frustrated. I think it’s amazing and absolutely right to acknowledge the NHS but it would be so helpful if there was a platform where people share their frustration and anxiety. This situation is scary and certainly not easy for anyone!

exactly thanks for saying it we all have a right to be upset about this.The virus has taken so much away from all of us, some bigger then others but that doesn't mean were not aloud to be upset about the little things like not seeing your boyfreind or not sitting your GCSES. The little things make up the big things in life ( in the words of one direction, im sorry i had to LOL)

i agree so much with the sadness is relative comment! some people on twitter are such dicks when others are expressing genuine sadness about stuff in their lives being cancelled/postponed, etc. like, when i told a family member that external exams were cancelled this year, they went "well it could be worse, you could be dying. stop being so sad" and it's the lack of basic human empathy for anything that really gets on my nerves

As a final year student I can't agree more! I feel bad for complaining that my last few weeks in my uni city with my friends and my graduation aha been taken away from me, but it is so relative. Thanks for such a great video eve xx

I understand what you’re saying as I know that if I was in your position I’d too be having a complete meltdown thinking my life was over. But, as someone who’s been there and done that and has finished a levels, I can’t reiterate it enough that you don’t need to panic. You’ve still got your a levels and your degree to show your potential

So I want to speak to everyone on eves channel because you all seem very kind people I feel very panicky because I feel as if I don’t know any content for my exams next year I want all As and A*s but this anxiety isn’t helping me during quarantine
Ali A Hey, I know it’s scary when you think you don’t know the content, but the best thing to do is remember that you have time. Your exams are not until next year, so you’ve got plenty of time. One thing you can do is write down literally everything you need to do for revision. For my A-levels I had a list that was 2 pages long, and I know that can sound overwhelming, but it helps to see everything you have to do and know you’re working towards finishing that. Another thing I found that helps is testing yourself on the content. I had problems of feeling that I didn’t know anything off the top of my head, so I would use flash cards or get somebody to test me, it really helps. Hope that helps, good luck for next year x
Ali A teachers will or should be willing to help with any of work set online also I would try and do some short questions on the topics CGP have good books full of questions for each topic at least in the sciences. Also found that during this time flowing the school timetable keeps away stress also you tube has good videos possible to go through topics you are doing. Hope this helps
I assure you I felt the absolute same! Remember that you always know more than you think and if you put the work in (which it seems you are☺️) then it will pay off! All you can do is your best and it's natural that exams seem daunting and maybe a bit undoable right now, especially in a global pandemic but you've got this. I was in the absolute same situation and I got A*'s n A's xx
I felt exactly the same way but the fear acts as a motivator for you and it shows that you care. I eventually got all As and A*s so you’ll be fine. Just to let you know that sometimes it’s how you feel but it’s not necessarily true. x

Can I recommend ‘the unexpected joy of being single’ by Catherine Gray - like you I don’t have loads of experience with boys and suffer anxiety but this book really puts things into perspective and challenges pressures from society about being single! I love it and recommend it to everyone ☺️
