Sir, i have one doubt as am having versant test. In repetition of sentences after completing the sentence as answer there will time gap till we get beep sound for the next question to go on. In that time gap to fill the time after repeating the sentence can we count one two three or say anything . ?

Did you record your voice and listen to it? If not then do it so that you can pick the problem. In case you have already heard your own voice then ask someone to listen and tell you what you are saying. If you have done that then try speaking slowly. Make sure every word is clear. Above all don't be nervous. Go with full confidence. See yourself passing everyday in your mind to remove your fear. Best of luck.

The free demo test are available on versanttest demo site. But free demos are very limited. I think they have paid demo tests also available. I am not sure how much it costs. But believe me just recording your voice and making sure each word is clear will change everything. Look at the pinned comment on this page. If you don't get demo test. Just read short sentence record them and listen to them. Also practice answers to oneline questions. That is important.
I saw this video before giving my test. I got 22 in fluency because i was slow and breaks were more. Please don't be slow like how he mentions in this video.

Hi Pushkar, Did you record your voice and listen to your voice? Were you speaking slowly but naturally? Did you practice - practice - practice. I am really sorry that this did not work for you. But then you should try opposite if that works for you. Exam requires multiple factors. I hope you are looking at other factors before making a excuse about my video.

Greeting Sir actually in the versant test they randomly asked on 6 stage to make a story and it is very difficult to make a story at that particular time so what I will do and how to understand the accent please give me a solution.
Don't mind sir , ....bt the way you read the statement is completely wrong it was like a machine....u didn't read like conversational....the way you read will deduct marks completely.
I don't know Anjali, but I used the same techniques to get 8 bands. And then what I said about practice, recording your voice, more practice will never go wrong. Anyways I leave it to you. I am just sharing my experience and opinions. It is upon the audience whether they can benefit from this or not. Best of luck.
First I just gave this test normally like the way I speak and my score was good but not enough for selection in the organisation for which I applied..so I requested them to give me another chance as I gave it earlier in slight distrubance filled area..when I tried again speaking very slowly and carefully giving stress on each n every word to get more marks for good pronounciation I ended up getting even less score so this slow speaking way doesn't works at all

Someone asked whether the questions shown in this video are real questions or not? These are only examples. They have thousand different test and even when you give the test in the same centre the questions will be different for all the candidates appearing. You cannot predict the questions at any given point of time. I had a project where I got hang of the way they managed the entire test and it is very complex. So we can practice but then on the day of exam you are on your own.

Sir, I got less mark in listening and more mark in speaking. Please suggest me how can I improve my listening.
Listening start listening to BBC English News Edition. Listen for 1 minute. Then summarise the news in your voice. Record and listen back. See if you have accurately summarised. Do this practice till you become confident of your listening abilities. Then you can get good in both listening and speaking. In case for Listening if you have to listen and then write then listen and write in notepad. See the difference whether you are able to replicate information single sentences as well as multiple sentences.

I have problem to repeat the sentence
Practice, Practice, Practice and more Practice. Start doing a 10 to 15 minutes mediation everyday. Just close your eyes and sit for 15 min without any physical activity. Do this for a few days and your focus will start improving.

You may have to practice more as much as possible. Also when you fail there is a possibility of becoming fearful. It will help you to learn how to calm your nerves.

Hello Sudha, If you go to Versanttest dot com then you will find some practice test. These practice test are paid. I have not found any versant practice test free.

You will have to practice more. Watch this video multiple times. Note down what are the things you need to practice. Practice. Record your own voice and see if you are speaking each word clearly. Improve on your speaking abilities. All the exams in the world can be cleared by practice. Practice so many times that there is no chance for you to fail. Spend about 1 to 2 hours daily on this practice. After one week you will be better. After 2 weeks you good. After 4 weeks you will be great. Don't give the xam again before you know that you are great. The whole point is that you just need to clear this exam once. And that will not happen by giving exam again and again. It will only happen if you practice again and again before giving the exam. Watch the video - Take Notes - Practice - Practice - Practice - Give Exam. You will pass with 8 bands.

In Versant they dont use any slang. They use normal english but it is more UK or US based english. To pass versant you have to practice listening to english podcast from British people and the be able to repeat after them. You can repeat the sentence in your own tone.

Hello Zoe, Have you recorded your voice? I would like you to record your voice and listen to it. The best way to crack this is to speak a little slower and with clarity each word. Because when you speak fast the versant software may not clearly identify what you are trying to say. When you speak slowly at a normal pace then each word can be clear. But start with recording your voice and seeing whether you are able to understand your own words. Another thing you can do is to use Google Docs Voice Typing. Practice with that. To adjust your speed so that Google Docs Voice Typing will be able to understand every word of yours. You can also use the speechnotes.io app for the same. But it is all about practice. Since you got 54 then you are very close. I feel with practice and focus you will be able to crack this. Don't lose hope.

It was not helpful at all , I tried using this trick and got less marks , the reason was , the test contains fluency parameter . If you speak this way your fluency marks will go down . And you will get rejected.

A lot of people who give this test try to speak fast. To them I have said to speak slowly. If you are already from an english speaking school then you don't need my help. Or if you are very good in overall english then you can Crack the test without any help. I made this video for couple of my friends who were struggling it has helped them. This video is not helpful, don’t apply his techniques like speak slowly and other ones in Versant. I applied his techniques and scored 44, thought before my score was 58.
I am facing problem while repeat sentences, could not understand accent.
Varun watch shows like Office in English. Initially you can keep subtitles ON. But later you should switch them OFF. Then you can also Listen to Podcast. There are many Podcasts available for English Speaking for Versant or IELTS. Check those - they will help you a lot. Then it is all about practice. And yes focus. Improve your focus. Find out some focus exercises you can do. Learn to focus on one thing for about 30 mins initially and increase it to 60 mins. That will change everything for you.

You will have to practice at least 4 times a day using different topics. If you watch that video and practice then within a few days you will be able to speak on any topic impromptu. Yes you can search for versant mock test. You will get enough test to practice from versant.
One thing that the Versant Demo Test may not be free. The reason is that they want to limit the number of genuine people taking this test. I believe it is a good investment. Think how much money you will lose when you fail the real test. Maybe a job. So I would invest in that demo test if I wanted more practice.

I had a friend who came from Hyd. He had problems with English. So he never spoke in meetings when there were US teams in the Meeting. One day I asked him what the problem is. He explained what you said to me above. Now I gave him some simple exercise to do. I asked him to join a Spoken English Class and also start reading English from international authors like Enid Blyton etc. for 20 minutes every day. So you read and listen to your voice. Improve your pronunciation. The reading should be loud. Remember, the objective of your exercise is to improve your pronunciation. This if you do for 90 days there will be a stark difference in your english in some time. 90 days because it takes 90 days to erase your past habits and cultivate new habits. Whether you join Amazon or not, improving your english will help you in any software company. Also always speak slowly that will change every thing.

I am not sure how they calculate these bands. It is only displayed in your report. There is no explanation for how this is calculated.

If you are giving a proctored test from home then yes. The camera has to be on. If you are giving it in a center then i whatever is the setting in that place.

If a topic is given and we need to talk about that topic for 20sec then can we read the sentences aloud or do we need to speak about the particular topic only. How can it detect what we're speaking?
You cannot detect what you are speaking. That is why you need to practice a lot of times. During the practice, you can record yourself. That is the time to find out if you are speaking naturally. Another thing is you should only talk about the topic - not anything else. In the description, I have shared a video where you can learn how to speak on any topic for 1 min. Use that video to practice. Do daily practice. Only give exam when you are confident. Please see dont be in hurry because you just need to score once in this exam. So if you can prepare really well and get the right score, you only have to do it once.

You can do practice on Versant Test Dot Com website. They have some practice test out there. But you will not get your own test recordings according to me. To practice you have to practice on your own. You can practice by reading a sentence and recording it and then listening whether your voice is clear. Another thing is to start listening to News on BBC in English on the Radio without the Visuals. You can listen to the news. Then try to record what the news covered in your own voice.
